This is what happens when you shop on Amazon as much as I do. You guy suckered into buying stuff you don't need. At least this time I made a video lol.
So what do you get when you buy a cheap multi-fx pedal and combine it with a synth? Let's find out.
TLDR: Just use a plugin lol

I'd love to see more pedal stuff here! No one demos pedals with synths, for a multi-effects unit I bought a Zoom MS-70 which sorted me out for modulations and reverbs and a little clone of the Proco Rat for distortion and while they're both not perfect they're per dollar a bigger impact on my sound than basically anything else. Every synth should have one or two pedals to really expand their sonic possibilities.
@NoirEtBlancVie

Glad you pointed this out, let me start to look into more pedal stuff, it’s WAY cheaper for me to get my hands on them than synths honestly.

I think there are a lot of synths+pedal demos out there but they can be hard to find in the ocean of guitar+pedal demos! ;-) I've even been known to do a few (shameless self promotion alert! 🤨😁) but my style is different from Noir's as they are usually less personable and instructive and more just "watch and listen as I fiddle with this stuff" videos. lol Here's one for instance ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qQjxCJw9dA8.html

I got a pedal like this and I immediately noticed the silicon tubing around the thin Volca style knobs and purchased 6 feet of tubing and put it on every knob like that on my gear and couldn’t be happier. I got 1/4 inch inner diameter 3/8 inch outer diameter and cut them a shade longer than the knob. You have to wiggle the piece on. It makes the knobs feel more precise and better. And it’s about a dollar a foot.

@je7647

@@gidd a controller is something that is used to play notes, usually (not all cases) it will be a keyboard that you will attach to the MIDI input of a synth you want to play so the synthesiser will receive notes and you will use to control the synthesiser. a synthesiser will be the thing that is actually creating the sound as opposed to the controller, for example if you bought a synth with a keyboard, you would not usually need a controller for it. hope that helps

I've been building a collection of Zoom MS70CDR's, now have 3. For the money, the best for synths. Fully programmable and you decide the chain order, though must be in series. Sound design with this pedal is deep when you consider all the options. I don't think Zoom has any competition. Sonic quality is very good, depending on your skill at programming effects and processers. The included pre-sets are all bad, I think this is why the controversy over this pedal, design your own specifically for the song and instruments and you will be very happy, and so will your bank account.

I have a Line6 M13 and that is really ideal for a synth setup with stereo I/O and good algorithms for just about every category. I turn off the crappy fx on my synths and use the Line6 instead. Plus it is an excellent midi controller for software looping plus two midi expression pedals. I'd still recommend the M13 despite it being older, the new HX Effects is good but smaller and fewer switches and knobs, though it has the new capacitive touch switches and more modern patch storage.

Effects for synths should be stereo, at least the output, preferably input too. It often makes all the difference. It could be cheap or meant for guitar or Senegales banjo or whatever, doesn't matter. That's why the Zoom MS-70 CDR and the Korg NTS-1 are so popular.

Funny! I recently bought two cheap a$$ Donner pedals and sync them by ear to get a decent approximation of the Brian May multi delay effect. Interesting video and a peek into the world of guitar pedals. I can't seem to find Amuzik in UK Amazon but Donner have a couple of multi effects pedals in the identical case but with slightly different effects (a distortion or high-gain instead of the roto-engine here). I always rate Donner's mini pedals (clones of Mooer ones as I understand it) - they aren't going to set the world on fire but they offer some good bread-and-butter effects at a low price.
@jvaranx

@@NoirEtBlancVie I think even Amazon has gotten into the cheap pedal game. There are some vids of people who opened theirs up and it had the same insides as other low end brands. You could probably search up alibababa, talk to a seller and work out making a pedal with your own branding on it and maybe even customize the hardware design somewhat if you are buying in large enough quantities. @Joshua Kleiner there's obviously a bunch made up in the same factories and rebranded, started out with Joyo and a few others, someone must made Amazon a good offer to have their name on. Some of them aren't too bad, but some are terrible. On the plus side you can have a decent board for cheap now if you mix and match a bit.
