Dude, High Praises to you for this video. There’s a lot of different content on RU-vid, where most of those ppl don’t have enough Common Sense to make a Well Detailed video, for guys like myself who are Mechanically Inclined.

Lol just checked out your store . Awesome selection . Might buy the coil connector rebuild kit . Mine all broke but it hasn't given me any problems yet with misfires .

Brilliant Design! Easy to build, and effective. The last time I had tires mounted, it cost $60 each for mount and balance, for new tires! I think one time will easily pay for your whole setup. That assumes a person has a way to balance tires.
@GreeceMonkeyz
@GreeceMonkeyz Год назад
Absolutely pays for itself. I balanced with the Harbor Freight bubble balancer and the 22s on my Escalade were fine up to 70mph where I got a small vibration, not too shabby.

You should watch Mad Ginger Customs video on modding the bubble balancer... you'll get a better balance...

Excellent duck head design... I've been wondering how I could avoid paying over $300 for the one commercially available, I forget who sells it, but it's way overpriced... this will fit the bill just fine! 🖖🏿😎👍🏿

A 30+ year experienced lead welder told me not to dip freshly welded metal into water. He said it could warp or crack. I wonder why i see a lot of videos of people doin the opposite...hmmm... Maybe cause I was doin exhaust at the time and the metal is thinner?
@GreeceMonkeyz
@GreeceMonkeyz 2 года назад
He's right, quenching it can introduce fractures in the metal from rapid contraction and cause deformation. On a non-structural part, with carbon steel and time constraints I don't worry about it much, but it is indeed a bad habit.
@AerialLensVideo
@AerialLensVideo 2 года назад
Well done -- Thanks for sharing! Gotta say , that wine cellar is beyond World Class -- I hope your customers know how lucky they are. Breathtaking. By the way, you do need to change your steel supplier, based on what you showed (honestly, over double what it should be even by 2022 inflation standards).
@GreeceMonkeyz
@GreeceMonkeyz 2 года назад
Thank you! Yeah, steel prices suck locally if you want small lengths, I need to practice picking up full lengths to keep in stock.
@AerialLensVideo
@AerialLensVideo 2 года назад
@@GreeceMonkeyz Yes, I was indeed referring to the standard 20-foot "stick." The L**** and H***D and many other prices tend to redefine what gouging looks like, at least for cut length metals.

you dont need a duck head. best way to not scratch or damage the rim edge is simply to turn the rim upside down with the face pointing downwards. Just cut a hole in a rubber mat and place it on the top surface of the harbor freight tire changer. When working on the backside it doesn't matter if you get some minor scratches
@GreeceMonkeyz
@GreeceMonkeyz Год назад
Good tip, thanks!
@dubmob151
@dubmob151 10 месяцев назад
Have you ever tried changing a tire though? It seems like a good method to anyone that's seen videos of the process, but the problem is that wheels are not symmetrical, and by design, the drop center is always at the outer edge of the wheel. The side where the drop center is would be the only option.
@jamesstanley5503
@jamesstanley5503 8 месяцев назад
Nice tire changer modification. Did the U bolts hold the duck head drop pipe tight and in position while peeling the tire off the rim? thanks for posting
@GreeceMonkeyz
@GreeceMonkeyz 8 месяцев назад
They really aren't seeing much force as the pry bar does all the work down low and the duck head its sliding along the rim which keeps it in place too. But yes they've been holding just fine!

Great build! What gauge exhaust pipe did you use? How’s it holding up? Thanks for the video…collecting parts now to build.
@GreeceMonkeyz
@GreeceMonkeyz 2 года назад
It's holding up quite well, the first set of wheels I did were 22's with raised spokes, so after struggling through that normal wheels have been a breeze. The exhaust tube was 16 gauge I believe. Local auto parts stores usually have small lengths in stock, or even just ask a repair shop for scrap.
