the expensive one wasn't professional either, unhygienic lipstick applying and eyedrops, he wasn't listening to you when you said no... imo not worth 40$
The fact that the guy proceeded without consent TWICE was concerning. She literally said no to the eyebrow trim and looked nervous with the eye drops because she had no idea what it was. That put me off hardcore
My issue with all these MUAs, especially the cheap ones is that they NEVER consider hygiene- like that disgusting table and the product straight from the tube without disposables- it’s so gross and can cause infections 😭
IKR!!! I would never dream of doing a clients make up without the correct hygiene and disposables! 🤮 Also eyedrops!!! Wtf! I wouldn't even apply lash glue without a previous patch test to ensure no reaction, never mind something in the actual eyeball! 😵
I think it’s incredibly disrespectful to force a client to have their eyebrows changed, even if they said they didn’t want their eyebrows plucked! The expensive one was really shit too! There’s no hope
Literally thinking this throughout the whole video! These ppl are gross. 0 hygiene. Do they not know they have to clean their brushes, or that you’re not supposed to use lipstick on multiple ppl. 🤮 but thanks Judy for shining a light on these places
@@melinasotelo8217 I don't even wear makeup, but holy smokes! It's just insane that they can even be in business. It's sad that it doesn't take very long to open a shop in her area. It just really drags the standards down I guess, and because of that it isn't seen as gross as it should, which is why it's probably not seen as top priority maybe?
I think besides the fact that her family has good skin (basing it on her brother rebal), these makeup videos are only filmed every month with a wide timeframe gap so she probably takes the makeup off right away and she also probably doesn’t wear makeup in her normal days since her skin really looks healthy and glowy already to begin with 😅
I remember my graduation makeup was done by my classmate. I didn't ask for the price and just said I will have my makeup done by her then. I was actually surprised with the results. I thought I would take my graduation picture looking worst. She didn't use any knock off products, instead bought twist cap version of foundation to save cost and use more than one shade of foundation. When I was about to pay her for the makeup, she told me to pay for $3 and I was taken aback. I told her to give me the original price but said it's the original price. She said we're classmates and a lot of people were asking her to do their makeup and there's no need to overprice it since it was easy to do and just a graduation makeup.
My boyfriend came in the room while I was watching the first one. I noticed him watching the video so I started explaining what the videos are about until he cut me off and went "oh she's alive?!". He said he was wondering why I was watching makeup being applied to a dead person lol.
I always respect how she simplifies the make-up looks to give the makeup artists the best chance possible. she doesn't make it unnecessarily hard for them
okay HEAR ME OUT.The first "mua" actually seems pretty nice. She got really excited when she realised she had a silver liner and when the eyeshadow matched. Also she was using the reference photo AND she didnt do a terrible job.The liner isn't the worst nor is the blending of the eyeshadow. She just doesmt have a nice place or products but for that price i think it wasnt the worst.
I’m not sure we watched the same video lol 😂. Yes the first woman was nice but she was pants at makeup and the hygiene aspect was disgusting. A makeup artist who knows what they’re doing and who has pride in their work can create an ok look with not good tools and would keep everything clean and hygienic. The amount of eyeshadow in her actual eyeball was disgraceful and the makeup very bad. The second one wasn’t exactly good either lol the blending was muddied together wrong shades for skin and using product straight from the tubes etc hygiene was also disgusting. X
2 things. Judy looks SO pretty in my pink. That heart in the middle of the eyeshadow is created with a sticker. Very easy to do. You just apply a tiny sticker then do your eyeshadow like normal right over it, Remove the sticker when you’re done.
@@owoshiroi9874 lol no I watch each and every one of her videos. But damn I never thought some day there would be a makeup tutorial where the client would be laying down 🤣
Girl I don't even like resting my head against theater chairs. The hood on my jacket is my layer of protection. Props and Kudos to you for laying on that thing!!!
I think the “expensive” makeup artist did very well. He saw redness in your eye (probably from the “cheap” makeup artist literally coloring in your eye) and was kind enough to give you eye drops. Also, for those saying he didn’t color match-she told him to use the pic for inspiration & that it didn’t have to be the exact same.
Granted, it wasn't sanitary, but I agree. His heart was in the right place and he didn't do the worst job. I've definitely seen much, much worse on this channel lol.
Yes!! I loved the $40 one, but he did leave that black smudge in your left eye lid. You can really only tell if you get a close up which would be weird IRL. If you are going somewhere really important can you get that done, you should make them fix it
They’re just eye drops 😂 like to whiten your eyes. Now I wouldn’t let somebody put eye drops in if they weren’t _my_ eye drops because you don’t know how old those drops are, but it really isn’t a big deal.
Not only did he use the same eye drop for every client, he also used the lipstick applicator that the brand/manufacturer provided for their product. He did not use a single disposable applicator.. so who knows if someone had herpes or some other virus/bacteria and he used it on them prior to her.
From the perspective of someone who is not only a qualified makeup artist but has also worked in a medical field, eye drops don't stay sterile. There's no way to ensure that the bottle is in date as well as not contaminated. The bottles can become contaminated quite easily especially if being used on multiple people. Also there's a risk of allergic reaction. I would never let anyone other than a doctor put eye drops in my eyes, unless they were my own.
It is a big deal. You can get serious eye infections from eye drops that aren't sterile. There are a lot of precautions to take like washing your hands beforehand, ensuring the nozzle or the dropper doesn't come in contact with the skin or the eye, storing the drops at prescribed temperature etc. And the drops should be discarded on time too. So always use your own and don't use it past the recommended date after opening. P.S. Don't mean to come off as rude. It's just the doctor in me can't help but preach.🙈
He didn’t shave her actual eyebrows if you watch. He was trying to explain that to her because she was under the wrong impression. I think the eyeliner was fine to she just has extremely hooded eyes so it changes the shape when you look down vs straight on. I do not think he was unprofessional at all.
@@cici39177 he actually did shave the brow, he cleaned up the baby hairs that the camera wasn’t close enough to see. He literally says it’s for the baby hairs around the brow. Regardless of what/how they do something, when a stylist professional of any sort pressured their client into something they’re actively saying no to, and is clearly irritated by, that is incredibly unprofessional. It doesn’t matter what the occasion is, or how small the detail is, no means no. Period.
@@cici39177 btw I don’t mean to come off as rude or disrespectful, just wanted to clear up how pressuring a client of any kind, about anything, is unprofessional. That’s just how me and literally the whole comments section feel, and resonate with in our cultures. Hope you and your loved ones are safe and healthy in these trying times! Peace and love!
@@trin-6822 Thank you! I totally see where you are coming from! I think he just wanted to clean up the brows and he did come on a bit strong but he did try to explain at least. But at the end of the day if the client still says no the its a no lol. Stay safe and well out there!
Definitely my favourite was the Second. The first one was totally gross with the unclean table. I didn’t like the false lashes in the first one they looked way too fake. Second one blended in the false lashes really good and in my opinion did a fantastic job. You looked like a model in the second one and you could tell you were much happier with the results.
In all fairness he didn't pluck, he shaved. But yeah I don't like others shaping my brows for me, other people make them too thin. Like I lived through the pencil thin 90's already, took forever to grow them back in I don't need your opinion on my thick ass eyebrows, leave them alone.
IM SORRY WHY IS NOBODY TALKING ABOUT HIM PUTTING EYEDROPS IN HER EYES?? Never in my 19 years of makeup experience have I seen someone put eyedrops in a clients eyes😳
I honestly think it's a nice touch because it helps releave any strain on the eyes or at least helps when you might have to keep your eyes open for a long amount of time during the process
The pillow, the towels, the bed, everything was hella dirty omg. The the fact that you're doing this just for us is amazing , i mean you deserve to be stanned sis😭👏🏽💖
I feel like the lip color of the first look is a good color and matches! The second lip color is stunning with the darker color of the eyeshadow he chose.
DON’T HATE ME BUT.... I actually.. liked the outcome of the first look. The brows weren’t the best but they weren’t that bad (she probably tried to make them look like the picture) and the eye makeup was pretty. Idk maybe it’s just because pink is an easy color to work with for eyeshadow. The contour was wrongfully placed though
idk the first lady looks so nice even if it's not the best makeup it's not bad for that price, plus it could look literally way better w just the eyebrows getting a little improvement and better fake lashes
@@CraftsbyKim i mean i'm allergic to estee lauder double wear and most clinique foundations... doesnt mean they're bad foundations or that i wouldnt use them on other ppl... i guarantee you there is no makeup product out there to which no one is allergic to!
I actually don’t think the first makeup look was that bad, and the lady seemed sweet. Thicker eyebrows actually looked nice on Judy in my opinion, they just needed to be faded out. With a cleaner place and better products, maybe a class or two, she could get better.
I think the eyebrows started out looking awful but nice then when she made them darker ruined them again. But the blending wasn't that bad! The expensive guys blending wasn't even as smooth as the first womans. I would never let a client leave with a eyeliner smudge on one eye either lol. People are too harsh on the first woman.
The 2nd guy has potential as a MUA but he’s rude and unprofessional, he should have listened to you. I doubt he gets return customers even when the make up turns out nice.
NOT HER USING THE SAME MASCARA WAND SHE USES ON EVERYONE SHE “DOES MAKEUP ON” INSTEAD OF USING A DISPOSABLE WAND!!!!! IM SCREAMING!!! *edit* JUST SAW THAT THE SECOND PERSON ALSO NOT USING DISPOSABLES!!! Wow. Im speechless
@@RedPanda79 she probably immediately takes off the makeup after filming. I know I would! And I would use really good products to make sure it helps prevent any infection or anything like that. Still, I know ai would for sure breakout and have bad reactions because my skin is incredibly sensitive and reactive. She has been lucky, but she probably also has normal skin, and by normal, I mean 💪🏼 strong and durable!
I don't do this professionally since I got into uni, but I was a hair stylist and makeup artist for over 6 years and the fact that he didn't respect your decision or even ask first before removing something (in this case your brows) is the most unprofessional thing a MUA can do, also, touching your face too much without tools when doing make up it is also unprofessional (I'm speaking for the the 1st lady) also, liners and mascara have to be applied with disposable tools, lips can be applied with a brush or a disposable applicator specially with this pandemic, please be careful and take care a lot Judy
IM still baffled how she hasn’t caught the virus tbh I cringe every time I watch the vids off the sheer lack of hygiene. In the uk places just don’t look like that lol there’s laws etc they would be shut down x
Both did a lovely makeup look. The dramatic music and lightning make them seem different when they are very similar. The final result of the first makeup look was filmed outside in the harsh sunlight (it shows up all the imperfections.) The second one was filmed in more flattering lightning and had softer music. The second one was slightly nicer. But, overall they are similar.
The fact that she let him give her eyedrops??!!! Girl there could have been anything in that bottle even making you blind!!! You should learn to say No and stay with it if u don’t want it

@@yourfav-qi4nv I am 19 and the eyeliner was really terrible, it was really bad. She didn't even have gentle hands when that should be the #1 quality of someone who does makeup. It didn't enhance her features properly.
Everything was perfect in the second makeup until he messed up with the liner the music and how he tried to fixed it killed me lol I am at work and I was laughing so loud lol 🤣
both are still a huge no no when it comes to hygiene.. even the expensive one used products directly from the packaging 🤢 (bacterias growing and spreading from one client to another)
I love the panic over the pillow after being subjected to so many stranger amoebas on all the mascara and gloss wands. Not to mention all the dirty sponges and brushes 😂😂😂 ❤️❤️❤️
gonna be honest if I walked into a salon to have my makeup done and they insisted on plucking my eyebrows after I told them I didn’t want to, I would just leave :’)
SAME. like you’re supposed to give the client what THEY want, suggesting and explaining why it might look better is fine but if they say no. Listen. I definitely woulda left. I’m also terrified of eye drops so I would have been like NOPE and dipped
Idk how you haven't contracted MRSA or conjunctivitis, props to your immune system for keeping skin on your face despite the trauma. You are a queen for enduring this shyt for our entertainment. Also whoever does the editing on your videos is a rockstar. The sound effects send me.
@@deathpoint189 But even those can be very different. I wear contacts, so I can't use any eye drops with preservatives in them since they would ruin my contacts. Worst part is he never even asked whether it was okay to put those eye drops in his client's eyes.
