hey i've used this kind of paint before and it bubbles if you use too much, so instead of one thick coat try 2/3 thin ones with about an hour drying time between. if you're really picky, wet sand the object you're painting beforehand and then let it dry, so that the surface is as smooth as possible and the paint is able to grip.
Do you know if this could be used on alloys? Also I’m not bothered to take the back badge off to spray but also don’t trust myself to do it the way he did, do you think I could spray abit of the paint into tub and paint it on or would this mess with as it’s drying??
I think my favourite badge has to be the shelby badge as it just looks so menacing. Also I'm loving the pointless polo progect and I'm looking forward to the future videos.
I put a cheap hornet backbox on my Polo, made a hole in my bumper for it due to the normal exhaust sitting at a 45 degree angle downwards, and it looks great and sounds good, till you get on a motorway, would recommend for city driving,
Only just subscribed and started watching ur vids, seriously enjoyable watching your 9N journey, after financial hardship/my life falling apart lol I'm looking forward to going back to a smaller frugal motor, namely these. People knock tf out of these, but I can't wait for the 3 banger noise, 45 mpg and easy af parking. Plus I'm a vag man at heart, four rings are my favourite, great channel geez
Benjamin Marriott sorry to hear about the tough times - can happen to any/all of us! There's nothing wrong with owning cheap and cheerful cars like a 9n - as you say there are many positives and they have a lot of character! Best of luck with yours - glad you like the channel 🤙🏽
your videos are so sick bro can’t wait to do all this with my polo. only got it a month ago well good for a first car gonna do some mods you’ve done bro
Cars With JB i already got it bro, got my test in 2 weeks so i hope i pass. i have the 9n3 or something like that i’ve never been a car guy to be honest. the only difference i see is the shape of the headlights are different on my car compared to yours. also i got a question, have you installed a keyless entry kit and electric windows on your car or did the car already have it? i have windy windows and i have to unlock it at the door id like it all to be automatic and more modern
Well as it turns out I own the car with my fav badge, and it's not my VW. It's the HSV(Holden Special Vehicles) badge, looks awesome with the lion's head and racing helmet. The blackout is nice but what I did to my VW badges on the polo was simply just turn them upsidedown for giggles 😁 just little bit of cutting involved on the front grille for the locators on the badge.
My fav badge is not actually a manufacturer badge it's a model badge. The GTR logo, one of the coolest there is Edit: that locked character bit was jokes 4:15
Just had to scrap my 9n polo, oil issues kept on coming after valve stems, then piston rings then leaks then cylinder walls. 1.2 engine is clearly very hit or miss :( I loved her as well
JB cool idea with logos. Do you have in plan to wrap Polo in some cool color :) ? It is foil expensive in GB ? In my country you can wrap complete car for 200 pounds .
£200 for a whole car wrap?! That's insane! It's much more expensive here - but I do plan on doing at least a little bit of wrapping - all will be revealed soon 🤙🏽
@@CarsWithJB Yes JB , sory for late answer. I meant just on foil ,I didnt mean on work . I will use foil from your producer in UK . It is company KPMF . Its around 10 pounds m2 . Guaranty 7 years. Go to their website ,you will find something good. :)
Ive bought a polo 9n 2003 off my uncle as my first car for 300 quid its in mint condition new battery and tyres. Gonna be replacing the gear stick cover and thinking about changing the colour of the horn button aswell. Do you know how i could replace the horn button?
84k on my 06 9n polo, last oil change 1 year ago, last full service 2 years (12k miles), where do you stand on servicing older cars, do I spend to 150 to 180 on something else
Bro im sorry but how tf are you painting 😭😭😭 of course it peels, jesus christ you put it on like shit man You need to stay more distant with the can, and do 1 light spray, let it dry, another light spray, and again until its fully covered, letting 15-20 mins in between each layer. First layer shouldn’t be able to cover it very well, that’s how little paint should be used for each layer. After that you should spray a protective clear coat, either matte or varnish effect. Then it will stay on. Better yet spray 2 layers of primer under the black
