Thank you, that means a lot. Yes, I'll add it to the list of products. It takes a long time to review a product because we need to buy the product and use it for a few weeks. Then it takes a few weeks after that to plan/prepare a video. So it'll be in the pipeline, it just might not happen immediately.

Excellent video and review process. I liked the clear methodology you used to grade the products and the delivery was great. I’d like to request the review of Elevation whey protein blend. These are sold in ALDI and it’s really cheap at $1.06 p/serving for me, but the protein content is ~61% per serving. So 🤷🏻‍♂️.

I understand. Price per serving is what we do currently. We always report on the percentage of protein per calorie, which is a good metric for you to cross-reference the price per serving when comparing proteins.

@@feast_good I realized that even the cheapest whey protein like bulk supplement is still too expensive for my income. I lived in vietnam, my monthly salary is just around 300$, the ones that get retailed in my country easily cost more than 60$.

I didn't say the price because video is just a snapshot in time and it's impossible to update if prices change in the future. That's why the prices are listed in the article, which is linked in the description. Articles are much easier to keep up to date.

If it’s has a low protein content per serving is that factored into the nutrition label? Like if it say 30 grams of protein per serving am I actually getting 30 grams?

No, there's no whey protein that is 100% protein. Take the grams of protein and multiple it by 4. That will give you how many calories come from protein. Then divide that number by the total calories in a scoop, then multiply it by 100. That will give you the percentage of protein per scoop. For example, 28 grams of protein in a scoop. 28 grams of protein X 4 = 112 calories. If there is 130 calories in a scoop, you go 112 / 130 = 0.86. 0.86 X 100 = 86% of protein per scoop. At FeastGood, anything above 86% per scoop is considered excellent.

I remember buying my 55 per serving protein from Academy for 49 bucks, good old times. I haven't bought protein in a long while cause of the expense. Best thing to sometimes is to just not be lazy and cook some 3 eggs and boom, that's about 1 protein shake equivalent right there. Chicken breast, prepare it yourself that's 39 grams of protein right there, cheaper than restaurant, just get your lazy butt to the kitchen.

Ya, I hear ya. Did you see our video on "why is protein powder so expensive now"? I mention how in the last few years alone, some brands have increased their prices by 50%. I still definitely take protein powder, but look for any deals I can, buy in bulk, use subscribe & save, etc.

Which foods are complete protein? Animal proteins are complete, including meat, poultry, fish, eggs and dairy. There are also a few plant-based sources of complete protein, including: Quinoa.

Price per serving is arbitrary. Should have compared $/gram of protein as the primary factor with your grading system of taste, calories, micros, source type etc. second. This video is almost useless. It became clear when you hit the GNC branded one.

There is nothing wrong with Bulk Supplements. The only big downside is that they are unflavored and lack flavor variety. This is a deal breaker for most people who don't want to feel like they're choking down their protein shake every day.

Right now you can get a 5lb tub, 74 servings, for $74.98 on Amazon.com. That's about a buck per serving, which is half the cost of some other protein powders. I think you might be ablet o get ON cheaper at Costco, too. Not saying MyProtein isn't cheap either, but I think on average, depending on where you buy it and the serving size, ON is often cheaper. But hey, prices change and you can always find deals, etc.

We've reviewed Body Fortress on our website, and while it does come in at $0.93/serving (below the average of $1.34) it also falls below 60% protein per scoop, below our threshold for a reasonable protein source (which starts at 65%).
