Cheaters Now Own Apex Legends & There's Nothing We Can Do - That's right, Apex Legends is now so overrun with cheaters that you're never safe from them and it's really unfortunate.
As somebody in MW2 who used an aimbot when I was 12, I can confirm that even for at that age it bored me after two matches. I genuinely don't get what people get out of it. I guess it's the same thing like it is with bullies. They have no control over anything in their life, so they use cheats to gain a sense of power somewhere.
Elden ring has a big griefing problem. People will hide in an unreachable spot without torrent and hope players leave so they get the runes from them. It's so ridiculous because there are so many other ways that are easier and quicker that give even more runes. I don't get it either. It's like if there's an option to do something the worst way possible, people will do it and think nothing of it.
@@Austin-vp6qq Gonna be honest that makes no sense to me. I guess it's console players? Because on PC, why wouldn't you just use Cheat Engine if you want some runes or just basically edit anything about the game?
@@SaintDorado probably console players. I play on ps5. I think it's people messing around and bored. I found one afk farmer who wasn't actually afk. We were messaging each other.
I've been thinking... what if some hackers are actually people that are annoyed with how EA is managing apex and log with hacks as a riot method so the game will receive negative feedbacks.
The biggest problem are the streamers and content creators. So many of them are cheating now and kids/teens are being influenced by them to do the same
maybe you misidentify people as cheaters because you're not so good. Very often in Counter Strike I get accused of hacking simply because I know how to play well.

I got banned cause I typed, negro is black in game chat,(I speak Spanish so it makes sense to me) Now all my ea games are gone for online play Time to join the cheaters I guess

@@itsjustawhiteguy they did a MASSIVE ban wave on bots and their hosters awhile back, they had one of the top bot hosters seething because they lost like 1000$ in cosmetics since they delete the cheaters inventory when theyre banned lol
I've never understood why this isn't don't anyway. Have HvH lobbies, even if not publicly. That way, instead of bans, you can just keep the cheaters in that queue.

I was in discord with some of my buddies who still play everyday and they were literally judging people on how well they can use their cheats because that's how often they run into cheaters.
Kinda sat that THAT'S become the game, it's not playing, it's seeing who is using cheats the best and are either good players with cheats or people who are so bad they chose to use the cheats, which is entirely in itself an ouroboros.

In master lobbies, I get a cheater or two every hour. Stack that on top of the shitty servers, the random “persistence transfer errors” and you just have a miserable time.
@@miclwastakenfr I was almost pred a monthish ago back when there was almost no masters and legit every game when u start getting into pred lobbies or close to it is cheaters and they cheat bad. They get away by toggling but when they’re on they would lock on thru walls. Had to quit I wanted compete in this game but it’s just unplayable
maybe using the hundreds of millions they made profit to pay more people to manually ban and develop a better ai anti cheat..? nah no solutions at hand.

I had 5000 hours in Apex and walked away last Fall. Everyone was using macros to basically be unhittable and then they'd never miss because yay aim assist. Im now in my post competitive shooter era and it's been a lot of fun. I'll miss content creators like you and ragtagg though, you always do a great job.
Unfortunately Apex is the worst "competitive" shooter, it's probably the most greedy title I've seen and its playerbase are treated with no respect. Instead they'll just parade around the corpse of Titanfall 2 while trying to make it into Fortnite just for a sweet paycheck I love apex but hate the people who make it, the only thing we can do is not play it, because no matter how much time and effort we put in EA has always and will always just see players as money

I feel for you man. Been watching you since apex started and always loved your content and style. I can’t imagine putting as much time and energy in as you have and having to watch it all go down in real time. I think it was Zues who interviewed someone who was cheating, but he asked why cheat. They said because they just like stomping kids. You can still do that in solos. Thats why these people do it. Just sad.
@@daineballhe’s not stream sniping. He gets the streams submitted afterwards by his viewers who found the clips. Zeus is a very firm anti-cheat/teaming advocate, why would he stream snipe anyone?
Sad part is a cheater came out and said there’s nothing these companies can do that the way these cheats are constructed they will always be undetectable. Devs will need to monitor clips.
Here's the sad reality of Apex. The people who crete and sell cheating software care more about Apex than the developers and publishers themselves. They study the game's code during their free time and constantly update their software so they can provide what their client wants. Respawn and EA don't do that.
They don't care abt the game, all they see is the opportunity to earn some cash and rest with low self esteem and ego do it to feel proud at being good in something once in their lifetime.

My answer to help stop cheating or at least promoting this games for cheating addiction is- These streamers need to STOP promoting this game! They need to find another game and move on with the rest of us! Hopefully they can find a game with a great anti cheat or dev that’s willing to continually invest and that will hold its player base in return! You can’t compete with cheating so there’s no point and that’s why the figures are so low and will continue to drop! These double battle pass solutions are EA way of getting every last penny before they turn the lights off on this game. Streaming and promoting is part of the problem (like advertising)..They have a voice and should use it to promote other games worthy of our time and money! Apex legends has ran out of time to fix problems,and has proven greed is all they care about! Ironically if there game was working properly the player base would be huge..So who is sat in the driver seat needs a slap! I’ve been out for a while,but I’ve always loved this game.
I cheated in Apex about 4 years ago and, just like you said, it got extremely boring. I feel most pc gamers go through the "cheating" phase when they're younger and realize how it's just unfair and takes away the feeling of earning anything.
Whats even worse is, you cant even get these guys banned unless you are some Twitch Pro with Hideouts on speed dial. Their anti cheat is so bad that a lot of these players only get banned when they reach out to someone on Respawn's security team or one of those ppl are spectating these guys. The rest of us plebs have to just deal with the fact that cheaters in Apex is a norm, not an exception.
Not even hiswattson are safe btw he got streamsniped by cheater on last 4 streams, last stream was his breaking point last night and he said he won't stream apex anymore if he want to play
What makes it sad is that these cheaters don’t care if they get caught… there is no real punishment. It’s essentially a parent (EA/Respawn) scolding their (cheater) and getting a slap on the wrist (ban) But the child doesn’t learn a thing from the scolding, and carries on. There needs to be a punishment that will actually deter people from cheating, or even think about cheating.
It is just annoying to see when you are a normal casual player, and you are popping off in a ranked game, but suddenly dies to a level 5 pathfinder using magic bullets.
The only cheat I used was clicking the uninstall button. For my own peace of mind I ditched Apex legends, because of cheaters and respawn just sitting there watching... Such a shame
At the rate Apex is going, Titanfall 2 might out live Apex...and if it does, im gonna throw the biggest party I possibly can with my buddies about the fact that apex isnt tainting the name of Titanfall anymore.

People cheat on all modes because they compensate for their lack of actual skill. All the badges and stats. It’s like a hobo wearing Gucci and driving a stolen Ferrari. You ain’t that guy.
that's make sense I always stuck on platiunum.I thought why my team was so bad, but after spectating there was something weird with their aim and movements as if at a certain distance they could see us. This has been encountered a lot, maybe it also influences why we always force out of the lobby when starting the game, why ping suddenly goes up high, and why there are teams that leave when choosing a legend. Just ruining the gameplay
As a titanfall player, I'm hoping that they do not allow this game to die. It's an amazing game, like titafall 2, but they decide EVERY SINGLE TIME, to quit on a game when a single cheater problem arises
With cheaters in lobbies like this, it's typically for the entertainment value people get from it. It's a power trip. A power trip that ruins everything for other players.
He still gets his dopamine fix in solo's with "cheating". The cheating is out of hand a long time ago. People are just finally talking about it now. Cheaters in every game (Not just apex). Getting pretty annoying...
Yep, I started playing COD, found too many cheaters, moved to Apex, too many cheaters; moved to Fortnite and found some cheaters but not as many. So I stayed
The worst experience I've had vs cheaters was a guy blatantly looking the other way and firing his 30-30 but actually damaging me and killing me. For him it seemed to be an ego thing since he clearly wanted me to know he was cheating I think many other cheaters fall in this category too. It wouldn't surprise me if solo cheaters are for the same reason they want to have their ego's bolstered that they won a 1v1 they would otherwise never win. As someone who has been a gamer since age 8 I find it extremely sad that they actually get any form of a feeling of accomplishment from cheating it beats the entire reason why you would play a game to begin with.
2 battle passes, skin recolours that cost as much as a full price game, and a plague of cheaters. Apex Legends is really being that next level BR game.
I was really excited for solos, but I stopped playing it when three games in a row I died to cheaters. I don't usually accuse people of cheating, but when you get to watch the replay, you can easily see when it's happening.
Brother with all respect its been like this for a while, i quit apex ages ago becasue of it. Really sucks becasue like you say the skill ceiling is huge and its a great game but this is unavoidable at this point especially with dma cheats nowbthey are just too advanced there is nothing we can do
"He might just be a smurf". Smurfs are also cheaters, and we should stop seperating the two to be honest. I think that the best way to combat cheaters is to, somehow, restrict the amound of accounts that somebody can create. For example, enforcing 2-factor authentication through a phone number not only makes it much more difficult to create alt accounts (and makes bans much more tricky to get around), but it also enhances the security of your account lowering the chances of you getting hacked. Not saying this is the best solution, but I think this would reduce the number of cheaters (including smurfs). Now some stuff would need to be ironed out, because unjustified bannings do happen. But it's something I argue would improve the game
Dude don't get me wrong, smurfing is cheap, but with this sbmm I cannot chill with my buddies if I dont smurf from time to time, like, I try not to do it, but bringing lvl 100 into diamond lobbies is frustrating for both parts, they get stompped, I am at a disatvantage, no one is having fun.

If matchmaking was better then this wouldn’t be an issue for you. But at least how I see it, you and your friends are having fun stomping on players that are obviously new or bad at the game and in the end you end up ruining their experience. I’m not blaming you though since in the end, it’s all EA and respawns fault because they can’t get their matchmaking better. You either destroy players or you get destroyed. There’s basically no balance when it comes to playing with friends that are new to the game.
Dude I feel the pain in your voice, I feel the same way. This is the game I turn to in order to have fun, and for years no matter what situation the game was going through I still had fun. But this is like watching something you truly love die. And the worst part is there no alternative that give this kind of thrill and enjoyment. Truly sad.
The worst part is the scope of wasted potential this game has seen. It's so hard to watch. Even when they do something right for once they manage to ruin it with some stupid mechanic or map rotation.
Apex is a beautifully-designed game and I had a lot of fun starting in Season 8 when my son and I would play together. It was his first FPS, and within a year he had far surpassed me, so playing together meant I was far outclassed in the lobbies we dropped in. I maxxed out as far as skill and fun in season 12, and after that it was downhill for 4 more seasons before I quit. Son got really good, he even ended up modding on Extasyy's Twitch stream, and I just watch now, as the cheating was just the final straw for me, but even my son has quit playing, too because of the cheating.
@@rikk319 Early seasons were balanced and is now a memory that won't be relived.. The og devs that wanted to save the game got fired by EA and these new devs are obviously not learning a thing it seems.. They seem to make random buff/nerf updates for no reason and it shows now that the current devs and EA are just as bad as eachother now
@@rikk319 Had a similiar experience. I've played a bit of Apex when it was just out. Dipping my Toes in to see if i would have fun. I picked it up again and played on the side, getting a bit better, playing on my Mother's Account because she owned Dragon Age etc on her Account and i would play it. Years later my Sister and her best friend played a Mobile Game and i decided to play too. At some point that Mobile Game added a 'Battle Royale' Mode and my sister weirdly enjoyed it, not even liking Shooters before. When we drifted away from that Game we decided to seek out and play other games together as a Trio. I decided to just pitch Apex, because i knew it was a BR, which my sister seemed to enjoy, and it was Trio, so perfect for us to not have a random with us. I created a new account for myself merely because my Mother would replay Mass Effect and Dragon Age at the time and Origin had updated to not allow two people playing on the same account at the same time, so i made my own. Our early Games were mostly me trying to teach them, while my sister was overwhelmed, but seemed to enjoy herself relatively well. Today... My Sister is probably the best of us 3 (even if her best friend won't admit it, saying she has the better stats [due to stealing kills :)]) She adores the game, and since the last few seasons... Even she got tired, there's times we get together and she just says "IDK, anything, except Apex" because of how frustrating the game is now. We still play, casually. But on most days, we endure 3-4 Games before we go play literally anything else.
I'm so glad I dropped Apex Legends two years ago. Was playing trios with some buddies and 3 of us were maneuvering on a zip line. All 3 of us were beamed mid-zipline by a solo with an autopistol. All of us instantly uninstalled and never looked back. Cheaters destroy every single game without fail.
It’s so unfortunate such a good game with such unique playstyle and mechanics is closing in on its own implosion. If it only it wasn’t held back by greed
Uninstalling as soon as I finish this seasons BP. But over 6k hours day zero player makes me sad to say goodbye but this is enough after the new BP announcement. The true culture of gaming is upon its last days I’m afraid.
One thing i would add is, if you cheat ONCE in a multiplayer game, you're going to resort it every single time in every single game, it is a path of no return, there is no such a thing as a clean cheater, it is pretty much like drug addiction... downloading cheats to fight cheats is becoming the very same thing you're fighting against...
I’m very glad to see this. Honestly merchant always seemed like he tries to air on the side of respawn and give them the benefit of the doubt so when he’s complaining I feel like that’s when they REALLY messed up
Among those obvious, how many veterans snapped and resorted to cheating? You can tell by ttk, play gungame on a weekday (almost no cheaters) vs pubs on saturday.
I'm right there with you I was about to break 3000 hours on the game. But so far I have moved over to valorant and the first descendant cuz that just came out. I love apex so much but it sucks to see what has happened to it
Not defending EA or Respawn, but when devs say “we can’t say much or cheaters will have an advantage” it isn’t talking about IN GAME. They mean that the fight to counter and detect cheats is a never ending struggle. They’re clearly already on the back foot and every bit of information that is released is that much more that cheat developers have. I’ve spoken to developers in discords before and they were all fairly in agreement that the biggest hurdle for them is finding out what devs know, or how they detected a cheat. The less of that information that is in circulation, the better shot devs have against cheaters.
Couldnt agree more. I quit 4-5 seasons ago after 2.5k hours plus. Have so many good memories on this game. Met some great friends, had some killer games and kills. But it is indeed time.
Why should anyone invest in a game that EA has shown time after time, that they're not capable of making it fair and free of cheaters? They have to prove themselves worthy of our investment FIRST!
I remember reading about a cheater on reddit so basically the guy cheats because he felt terrible at the game and just want to feel better, like how are you better if you cheat
I've figured out why it's so bad in other modes too. There are groups that sell people badges, they'll play on your account and get you badges you want, such as 4K or 20 kill. What people who buy the badges don't know, is that when they use your account, it's used to farm other account badges too. I can always tell when a lobby is organic or not, and when my teammates are throwing the match, but they're throwing the match, so the account trying to get the badge can win. There has been several times when I've killed the account that is supposed to win and get the badges, and I literally get the whole lobby chasing after me. They are able to track me, by my teammates that are a part of the scheme, as well as anyone I've killed that is spectating me. They're just on a discord server sharing my location. A lot of people can't figure out what is going on, but I can always sense when I'm in one of those lobbies, and it's very irritating and frustrating, but I always try to ruin it for them, as best as I can, and it's not easy when you have multiple teams all chasing you at once. This problem could easily be fixed if people would quit paying for badges, but unfortunately, people don't want to work and get them legitimately. I am very close to just quitting the game, but those few lobbies that are totally organic are fun. Just wish all the badge sellers would go to hell, and people would quit buying them.
I’ve experienced this very same thing. As soon as I kill a team or two another team shows up in about 3 seconds flat and they know exactly where me and my teammates are and if I escape the 3rd party say by mobile balloon as soon as I land another team knows exactly where I am as I land and beams me 👿
Actually: The first cheater is not killed by the second cheater (lifeline) but by a conduit who shot him in the back while he was standing still looting. So he had no actual awareness and no actual skill whatsoever.. just beaming everything
Actually, the new battle pass will give more free rewards than the old one did, but the tradeoff is that you have to pay real money if you want the actually good items. I watched a video on the rework that explained the changes in the amount of loot for each tier of the pass. I'll edit with the link if I can find it.
@@NinjaGamer-hm9iz its not more free tiems if you have to buy the pass to begind with. As someone who has maxxing out my BP for alot of seasons now. I bought the BP once. I saved my coins for the next one and never spent money. A 20$ bp with "free rewards" isnt a tradeoff
I bailed in season 18. Hell, I even unsubscribed from this channel when I did, because I didn't want to be reminded of what I was leaving behind, because I was so sick of the cheating and poor monetization. I dumped a couple hundred dollars into this game when I played, even though I could never really afford it. That was back when collection events were much cheaper than they are now. Genesis happened and I saw all the old lore outfits and just had to have'em. Ended up getting Revenant's heirloom as a result even though I didn't play him. Then I went all in on Rampart's heirloom because main. Then later Crypto's because old main before Rampart came out. Even after all of that, I'd constantly get bodied in every low-level lobby I played in, and it was becoming more and more apparent over time that it was less smurfs and more blatant cheaters. All my friends stopped playing. I couldn't keep up the solo grind anymore, so I just called it quits. Cut my losses and uninstalled the game. I only checked in just now because one of my friends who used to play with me showed me an image of the new battle pass changes a few minutes ago.
The thing that’s worse is that it’s in console now too. My friend and I were playing solos (same match but not teaming) and in 3 out of 7 games the servers were closed from hackers. It’s crazy that ea makes another amazing game in the Titanfall universe, and they let it suffer the same fate.
There is an apex legends board game coming out that was kickstarted about 1 1/2 years ago I believe? I bought the full package and I’m super hype to finally enjoy apex again (via board game 😂)
Ppl should’ve seen this coming when they added exotic shards😂 then the changes to events to prevent u from using crafting metals forcing u to gamble for 1 skin u want
I think it’s probably more simple than you might think. Some jerks actually just have fun cheating. Bypassing the challenge of aiming and getting straight to the feeling of “yay, I killed someone” without having the slightest regard to how they feel is actually fun for them. It’s sad
This reminds me of when Tim the tatman proved they didn't care about cheaters in warzone. He said the absolute best players he knows has like a 6:1 KD. He loaded up their player search and there was a guy with like a 20:1 KD. He's like "this guy is a cheater and he's been doing it for a long time".
It is sad considering i am always trying to convince my friends to play this game like we used to from day 1 but they refuse because of the cheaters and the matchmaking issues. There are moments where i am holding myself from downloading cheats but the only way to resist it is by quiting the game altogether.
I tried to play for the first time in a few months recently, and every game my party had 1 or 2 AFK players that would just jump once every 10 seconds.

This is my favorite game ever, been playing since month one, and I uninstalled it this season for these exact reasons (and the other recent news about Apex rubs salt into the wound). Hurts me deep down too man.
I’ll be honest it’s been a while since I’ve watched Apex content and this is very discouraging to see. I used to play this game every single day and took a break around Season 15’s start, only to come back and see the state of the game. It sucks as a big fan of the games structure and all the great memories I’ve had.
When this season is experiencing its lowest player count ever because basically all the legit players that dont cheat have walked away from the game all together it makes a person wonder whats left playing the game right now cause the cheaters didnt leave lol,only ones left playing are cheaters and cheating streamers.

I agree they need to nerf aim assisst a little, but it would make it 5x harder to land super far shots (50 meters+), and some people sucks so much that they cant control the recoild of most guns. So youre gonna kill the casual fun players, or lower skill players. Who u gonna have left? People that can really aim even with aim assist nerf. U dont want that. 1clipping doesnt mean he’s on controller. But literally running to me, when I’m hidden in a house in solos, and knowing exactly what corner I’m in….yeah i know hes hacking. If he beams me with a high recoil gun from far (havoc for ex.) i know he’s hacking. But ngl. Sometimes u cant tell, but very often, u can tell when its a cheater.
ID verification tied to an account. The solution is there. Cheaters must be purged from every game. Not only do they ruin games they're in, they also ruin games without cheaters by simply allowing players to question if them dying was legit even if it was legit. The fact that cheaters can do this without being in a game means that they should be rooted out at all costs.
I knew something was strange because I’m in console lobbies, and I got a teammate, the guys name is “Faster”. I remembered him being on my team, then I played another match the next day and he ended up beating my team at the end of the game. I thought it was cool that he was on the team that beat us so I tried to add him to tell him, and realized he’s literally on PC. The PC players in console lobbies has become a bigger thing, idk how they’re doing it.

I remember when I was a kid, there was this ''huge'' lan for a lot of the kids at my school, we went to this youth place you could spend some time every day after school. But I remember at this Lan event, we were all playing MW2, and a few hours into playing, we busted one of my classmates while he was cheating... None of us agreed, that we wouldn't play any games with him for the rest of the Lan, and most of us also didn't even want to play with him for weeks after the lan. It got to a point, where his parents contacted the school, and there was a meeting with most of the parents about why we weren't including him when we played anymore... Moral of the story, it's crazy how much cheats can ruin games, even lives in some cases.
