Umpires and referees that blow obvious calls should be suspended just like players, none of them should determine who wins or loses by making bad calls.
@@blazingbattlehawk9626 Really?? The ones that are 6 inches out of the strike zone were pretty freaking obvious to everyone in the park EXCEPT the incompetent umpire. Electronic assistance is needed to clean up the blindness, bias, and incompetence of some umpires.
No no no..... the SADDEST part is watch this I don't even know you but I bet you aren't trying to become a MLB umpire... you just want to be a third party who can/will complain about the call EITHER WAY... am I close you can tell me the truth but it better for you to just lie to me and say if you were the ump you would always make the "perfect call" every time
Last night wainwright struck out the batter with a curveball and the runner on 1st stole and he was thrown out but the umps called him safe and the pitch a ball. It's getting ridiculous!!!
They should have extra umps on standby, when an ump is this bad he should be pulled from the game, his pay for the game forfeited and immediately replaced.
Unfortunately if that happens, us MLB fan's will lose so much entertainment from watching Player's, & especially Manager's go ballistic on the human ump's, it's literally my favorite part of the game! 😆
@@Slinger43I could just see it now, the roboUmp calls opposite an obvious (whether strike or ball), the batter gets angry and starts hammering away at or on it with the bat, destroying it. Other side the pitcher doesn't get the wanted call, and deliberately chucks a 95+ mph ball at roboUmp. Lol 😆😂🤣
@@simplysteve68 Except that the electronic assistance systems do NOT make mistakes. Once you set the strike zone for the game, they are over 99.99999% accurate. This has been tested at Triple A and it eliminates the umpire error as well as subjective and ever changing strike zones and ensures that ALL players have the same strike zone.
The Umps should honestly just have the calls read to them from the AI strike zone/safe or out computer. This way they can keep their job, be a part of the game but just be messengers and peace keepers💯
They need an ACCURATE camera behind the plate to call balls and strikes. The only reason they need an ump there is to call out or safe at home. This umpire is horrible.
As a Cubs fan, this is sad to see cause it could happen for any team. I have umped before and to me you can make better calls setting up behind the plate better. But the catcher is doing his job also which is pulling the ball back up into the zone. Umps need to realize what going on. But this is just sad. Sad. Sad. Sad.
Umpire Saturday in Cleveland Saturday ripped off the Astros and soon after got hit in the wrist with a wild pitch from the home team. Had to get first aid.
Those all are strikes. The ball enter the plate as a strike on the lower portion then it curve down out of the strike zone when it hits the catcher mitt. But remember, the catcher is a few feet behind the plate.
In the minor leagues they are experimenting with an automatic umpire radar tech. It’s umpires like this one where this technology needs implemented immediately.
Instant replay it's right there. If they can't make the call the right way the box can.. we don't need we get so many it's right there.. even the fans can figure this who's out
More evidence that the robo ump needs to call balls and strikes. These umps are horrible and their egos are so fragile they throw out players and Coach’s at the drop of a hat. A good umpire is one you don’t notice because they made correct calls.
This is the same umpire that gave the Astros Stanek a troll smile after ejecting him which came after calling a balk on him against the Dodgers, allowing the go-ahead run to score.
My uneducated guess is that every new young umpire that gets to MLB must attend Angel Hernandez course of 'Calling pitches at home plate 101'. While blindfolded. 😎
20 years ago the players would have adjusted to the game. Today, they have zero clue how to do that. Being able to see the "strike zone" now has ruined the game.
1) use radar MLB 2) if he’s been calling everything a couple inches low a strike for both teams all game long, then in the bottom of the 9th you’ve got to know that for today, that’s a strike. Live with it & adjust your zone.
They need to suspend umpires who abuse there power, those were not even close to strikes, umpire wanted the game to be over, lazy, they need to fire these umps and train younger ones who can actually do the job correctly , they need to have someone at the ballgames who can throw umps out of the game. Hit them where it hurts right in the wallet
Nah, you need to understand that pitch tracking tracks where the balls was caught by the catcher and doesn’t factor in where the ball traveled when it crossed the plate. Those were consistent calls and close enough to be a strike. What he swung at would’ve never been called a strike and wasn’t even close to the other 2. Fans always complaining their team needs the umps to call the game their way in order to win. Great players and teams take the umps out of the equation
In the bottom of the 9th with the game on the line, if it's close enough to be called a strike, you'd better be swinging. Those pitches weren't too low where they were unhittable by any means. Great framing job by the catcher.
Electronic assistance for balls and strikes has been tested successfully in the minor leagues and it did NOT slow down the game. I have no idea (other than the umpires union maybe) why they do not adopt this in MLB. That umpire was AWFUL and has no business being a MLB umpire (at least based on his behind the plate skills).
I didn't see your post before I commented. I came on here and said the same thing. He likes to give a troll smile after ejecting, like he gets off on it.
