@@dyner2369it’s fixed since last season but it was a macro you could make for your kick and you could spam it and would only kick the second someone casted a kickable spell. It was basically a bug someone discovered.
I am a cheat dev, i tried bringing what i know to blizzard by video in a private server so they wouldn't ban me, someone ended up getting back to me and there are multiple ways to detect this but they genuinely don't care. they can 100% detect the input within the system on driver side or on send-input.
They dont even do that bro you can say anything in wow. They are so greedy they don't want players to leave. League on the other hand is a different story.
Blizzard needs to get rid of API reading addons and severely limit Macros. Just keep QoL visual addons or allows players to have a fully customizable UI and youll see PvP flourish
This is a huge problem yes, but the main issue with PvP is the barrier of entry. Players essentially need to learn 12 different classes to be decent at the game
@@eloniewordan8890 that would be amazing, but imagine they do that...people will find ways to insert the addons still so they'll have an even bigger advantage because the honest people won't be using them. People just fucking suck...
It's how the game is built issue, it may sound like it's easy to just disable addons from reading the API, but it's not that simple. Many visuals also need to read the API to relay information etc. There is no way to completely remove botting from a game. Cheaters always find a way to abuse any game. Removing addons will take care of some of it, but not curate it.
Yeah, the messed up thing is that you get hit with a forum ban for "naming and shaming" if you bring light to any botter...while there is no action taken against the exploiter/cheater.
my god that's nuts :D what we should look into next is win-trading in solo-shuffle. i've been queueing quite a bit at around 2400 cr (healer) and some lobbies just feel incredibly off. Like no matter what you do, your teammates miracolously forget how to play the game when they're on your team. and it's not like they're just having a bad round. they will straight up refuse to make plays or trade cooldowns that should be absolutely standard at this rating. whenever you go an check the enemy healer after the match, its always the same pattern: 2000 - 2200 - 2400 - 2700 achievments earned within a couple of days, getting glad one or two seasons and boom, rival bracket in every other season. the story just doesn't add up. it's really frustrating, you usally go 0-6 in these lobbies with absolutely no agency. i know that it's extremely hard to prove, and sometimes you just get unlucky lobbies where things just don't go your way. I'd be interested though if anybody else has had a similar experience.
8:07 yup, some bots have those automatic responses. Some of the more modern bots have AI chatbots connected, so they can have full on conversations with you.
Ive seen these DH and outlaw bots for months, and no one believed me. The way they can path to stealth is what gives it away initially every time for me. The outlaw bot behaves exactly the same.
This is bigger than wow. Cheating in all games is out of control. Combine that with the disgusting business practices we are seeing and it makes me question whether this hobby is even worth it anymore.
If they get rid of all addons it may help solve this issue with Bots because I am pretty sure some of their program functions through 1 or more addons.
I had 2 games last night in rated 3v3 below 1000 rating where we played against spriest affliction and the whole time the milisecond I pressed interrupt on the priest's shadow spells they start casting a heal...
Unfortunately, it is easier to recognize a bot when you make the game less complex as their decision making is more obvious. People would be able to point out that a bot keeps blowing it’s one burst CD or gap closer CD at the start of every match with the assumption their opponent would go out in the open. That, however, is much more difficult to do when blizzard shoved a bunch of CDs into the game to make their game seem more challenging. All they did was make the game harder for real players while making it easier for A.I. to cruise control.
I don't play wow anymore, but I'm pretty sure they got rid of most of the real people that would otherwise have been taking action against these cheaters. They now have AI doing most of the workload, and AI can't make discretionary calls that require critical thinking like investigative cheating detection. Going with AI has harmed customer satisfaction by leaps and bounds. Wow has not had a soul for nearly a decade now, and people are now seeing the ramifications of it. It's quite sad, because I really miss playing my DH, but I'll never pay for another Blizzard product for the rest of my life. And I had over 3 years /played on my account which I had since BC.
Its really funny to me how suddenly this topic receives more attention because streamers see more of this side due to solo shuffle. Cause botting and cheating have always been present in wow. During BFA and Shadowlands I focused mainly on gold boosting from 0-1800cr on EU servers. And the stuff I saw was really funny, from basic stuff like instantly killing grounding totems or instant kicks on my heals to people who apperearently had no global cooldowns or people using abilities they shouldnt have in the first place. The good side was, that I was always to get rid of these people since I recorded all my arena games. But seeing bots with 7000 games makes me believe these days they dont care.
I did a solo shuffle on a brand new character and i think there was only 1 other real player. Better yet these bots were SO BAD just kind of running in random directions, not casting things all fight, would stand next to another "player" and neither of them even target eachother.
the worst part is they ban people for trashtalking in chat of soloq instantly ( even blizzcon challengers and thus not allowing them to play in the finals) but they are waiting the end of the season to do a massive banwave of bots.... This is the worst part imo, that they ll ban people just for being toxic instead of cheating . Blizzard doing a great job as usual.
yeah because western company they cater to people like venruki and other players that get their heart broken and instantly report if someone is being toxic it's normal these companies will die slowly
Robodrome has clipping issues for the bots too. I ran into full bot teams on the 3v3 ladder and standing on top of the ramp in the corner, the bots would just bug out and walk off the edge everytime they came up.
DHs had more exploits than I could count in legion. Loads of invisible walls that werent high enough allowing them to jump out of bounds or through objects (most famously probably the tunnel jump on WSG). DH tanks could straight up disconnect you on maps like Eye of the Storm or in arenas by slamming you into terrain. I know quite a few people who got HOTA just abusing DH exploits.
I did pvp from vanilla to wotlk, did grand marshal in vanilla, 2 time gladiator in bc, and casualy pvp in wotlk... this state of the game is aramaic language for me... i try to look at it and try to uderstand something about this video and im glad i get like 30% of it xD
There's nothing to be surprised by in terms of DPS - damage rotation is the easiest part of the bot programming. Navigation, state management, situational awareness, teamplay - these are the complex areas that still have gaping holes that allow easy detection by real players.
Yup happened to me the other day in wintergrasp, hunter was in a demo on low health afk i was guessing so destroyed the demo and then started on the hunter, as soon as i start to shoot his pet came for me straight away and he fired every single shot at me in like 10 seconds and killed me , but he didn't move one bit, wasn't even facing me head on then a rogue came along and killed him because im guessing the bot couldnt reset quick enough.
Remove addons and macros, improve the interface for all the stuff addons is a must have, reduce keybinds so not having macros is not that bad. i imagine doing this would make the game much more friendly to new and casuals players and would make cheating much harder.
blizzard was always like that ever since they got aquired by activision. you can get banned in OW/OW2 for saying "youre bad guys, learn to play, bosoted bots" for toxicity but cheater banning IS NON EXISTENT .
This game is full of bots. You can see them everywhere mining, herbing, leveling or boosting lvls 20 in Nokhund Hold.... I got tired of reporting because Blizzard won't do anything for months. One day this game will only be played by bots farming.
So he said they're becoming more sophisticated lately but that's not true. I personally used a bot way back in MOP that could easily do all this (except maybe the see in stealth wtf). But for it to be so seemingly widespread and blatant is interesting, has to be profitable and/or low risk (lol) enough
To be fair everygame is like this, i played ALOT of apex legends and the number os hackers is just horrendous, and you know that its easy to spot but they just dont get banned. WoW is the same thing sadly
Yes, other companies have a job to apply anti-cheating measures. Responsibility greatly varies, can range from reviewing suspected accounts only as a small part of the working time to actively looking for suspicious activity even on non-flagged accounts. The truth is that this costs money - it would cost way more for Blizzard to pay wage + contributions for a handful of employees than the financial damage the bots cause. If every single day one guy stops playing due to the bots...well, that's collateral damage - still cheaper than employing a couple people. They don't care about reputation or such, only short-term profit matters.
In Classic there are thousands of bots following the same paths for days on end, flying in dungeons and going underground to mine/herb/pickpocket. If they can't detect and ban people flying, GL detecting these bots. 🤣
its just a rotation bot that you have to buy the bot api and then you buy the rotations for pvp from the programmers that play those classes and they constantly update the rotation so its like 25 a month for the app and then 30 a week for the pvp rotation
Over the last couple years cheating has become a problem across all games not just wow, it's spreading like wildfire. I used to escape it by not playing shooters but it's spreading to mmorpgs and mobas as well. Just sad stuff.
Warden (Blizzards anti-cheat who is active across Blizzard titles) has always been trash. Believe it or not, it's actually a lot better now than it used to be, and it's still trash. That says a lot. Botters can more or less reign free. Pretty much the only way to get banned is if a GM looks at you ingame specifically
How are people getting 1600-2000k hitpoints in a battleground? I'm lucky to get 1000k. Their damage is insanely high and their hitpoints are ridiculously high. Not just Tanks. I've seen Hinters and Priests close to that. I've met Priests that just heal through the entirety of our team beating on them. Someone please explain this to me.
I came back to the game a month ago and these Bots made me unsubscribe again it's crazy how many there are. I've been playing for 15 years and this is the worst I've seen it
Do you think they could implement something like that with various levels of competence (like 1500 bots, 1800 bots, etc) so we can have some sort of arena training ground or better bot BGs Edit: and ofc ban it when used by players
some cheating bots are actually more insane than this. Monk can instant ring of peace and knocking ppl out of barrier/darkness, auto kick/fake kick. It's not just a problem of API reading, they can read PC RAM or something, just like PUBG malware
yeah its everybody elses fault. why do they compete when all you want is your shiny useless cosmetic effect. they are the problem because all these other guys pushing ranking they should just stop playing instead of making you want to use a bot to have an advantage. how great the world is when everybody has such a simple world view.
I know they added DH for the sake of representation, so that people with special needs could participate, but I never considered that it could even be botted to this kind of extreme level
im getting warrior bots aswell when i play my dh and i go press rain from above 0.1s the warr casts spell reflect if stormbolt is on cd if stormbolt aint on cd he casts stormbolt on 0.1s i press rain from above
The only version of wow I would take seriously is a version where all addons are banned, also botting is not possible. The game is made for sweaty pumpers, not for casuals. Way too much $i%$ going on.
First time I have pushed PvP this expansion seriously because of Shuffle on my monk hit 2400 first season, 2550 second season and legend, and finally hit nearly 2500 again this season. However, about a month ago I am going through kick bot hell. Every caster I have gone against has constantly made me miss kicks. Usually really solid making kicks, but in the last 3 weeks, it’s been terrible. I’ve lost so much rating. Probably should just give up on solo shuffle ques at this point. Are 3’s like this?
I don't think they'll do anything to them. If they do, the WOW players on the US server are truly lucky. On the TW server, confirmed cheating has been "allowed" openly for about a decade. The number of bots and cheats there is probably hundreds or even thousands of times worse than what you encounter on the US servers...lol.
This is what happens when game devs give classes way too many instant cc and gap closing abilities. Easiest way to create bots for. They do not even need any sophisticated programming to work... The state this game is in is absolutely horrible and I have zero hope that these devs will fix anything. If anything they make it worse.
Got a 1 Week suspension for calling a bg team, "pve heroes", but players that do this sort of thing have accounts with no actions. I no longer play WoW after the former.
Blizz needs to calm this fucking game down. Get rid of the addons, get rid of the scripts, get rid of all that stuff and just have light addons, its getting absolutely tiring.
Ban all add ons would be great. Problem is most the players left are completely dependent on them, and wouldnt be able to play the game anymore and blizz cant risk a massive player drop off due to banning cheats.
COD and War zone pay attention to the top of the leagues and popular streamers. They actually watch streamers. The assumption being that bots and cheaters have an unnatural progression curve and other pro level players will recognize the behavior quickly. The easiest way to manage cheaters is to make it hard to watch the top of the brackets, they all want to be there. No one runs cheats to be mid grade or bottom beacket.
the problem is as old as the game. and tbh its mostly the players themselves who are the problem. r14 groups back then started all of this desperation bs and when classic came around, so did r14 groups who ruin it for everyone else because these guys thought they were more special than everyone else, thus they had the right to turn the game to shit for everyone they met while grinding rank. And blizzard does not give a damn about the players and whats right. they will not fix this, EVER. you have to deal with it because they will not help you and those bots are here to stay.
@@zHqqrdz lol but isn't the result the same ? for example new player wants to play arena .. q at rank 0 and fights against carries ... just like this ppl fight bots. same outcome - frustration. All I am saying this is a perfect example how ppl feel q against carries.
