The planter eggs kind of look like closed tulip bulbs, so it could work for spring islands well.. also, second year is sooooo much better in my opinion. Not that the first year is awful, I just like the subtleness in the new items. Plus the cuteness factor is high!

These Bunny Day items are Grandma Chic and I stan.

I can't get over the fact your character looks exactly like you, even with the lack of facial hair. I can literally imagine it talking and it sounds just like you. Crazy.

The tree🥺🥺🥺 my grandma literally decorates a tree just like this every year so I’ll probably get a little emotional once it’s on my island lmao😂🤧

I teared up when you showed the tree. My mom used to hang the plastic eggs full of candy or coins from a tree in our yard. She's loved Easter and passed a week after it 3 years ago. I will probably keep that tree up all year ♥️

I think these items look much more creative than last year’s. I’m so excited to buy them from Nook’s Cranny and I can’t wait for there to be more seasonal items for future holidays!

I like both years designs. I have last years designs as Mira outside home decor and I will be using this years designs for Pippy (bunny) home which is the next villager I need on my island. So this worked out perfectly for my island

OMG THE BUNNY DAY PLANTER BOX LOOKS LIKE A PLANTER BOX WITH LIL MUSHROOMS IN IT I NEED IT NOW! AND THE TOPIARY WILL GO PERFECTLY WITH WHITNEY'S POSH GARDEN WITH FLOWERS AND SO CUTE. AND THE TREE LOOKS ALL MAGICAL AND FAIRYCORE!

The new items are amazing but I just wished they would allow us to customize them into something that you can use all year around, a bit like they did with the Thanksgiving items.

Wow!!! That little garden flag gave me a visceral nostalgic feeling. It reminds me so much of the one my mom had growing up. I’m so happy that they have decided to keep adding these little things here and there. Yayy!! I didn’t play Bunny Day last year, so I don’t have that lasting resentment about it like a lot of people haha, I’m just excited for it this year.

Year 1 items are so tainted because the event was such a cluster. I'm excited that they're on the trend of keeping original items for the event but adding new ones. And I'm even more excited that the new items are through nooks so I don't have to run around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to get DIYs during the event time. I'm really excited to see if they're going to add new items for cherry blossom season. I'm torn because they don't mention anything about cherry blossom season in the new trailer so that means one of two things... Either nothing's changing so there was nothing to talk about or there will be an update between now and the start of cherry blossom season as well.

Bunny day island owner here, the lack of bunny day stuff compared to year 1 kinda blows but the quality of them are pretty nice! Love to mix and match year 1s with year 2s. The tree is not EGG-actly what I think of of "spring" I was thinking it would have been a display able egg tree that's pink or green with eggs on it. Not a dead tree with eggs, but okay Nintendo, I'll find a use for it.

these items feel more realistic and not necessarily that they are more detailed but also that people in real life could have things like this. The other items feel like "bed but make it eggs" or "wardrobe but make it eggs". They just feel like nothing anyone would actually decorate with for easter (except the basket and balloons and garland)

bunny day 2.0 is a huge improvement, i rly love how responsive nintendo’s been to player experience, from amazing creativity right down to our complaints... i can’t wait to incorporate that tree, topiary, and planter into my overgrown fairy-forest island 🌱🌿🦋💕

I honestly think I would have loved bunny day if I didn't JUST get the game. It was so frustrating in the very beginning. So I'm pretty excited for this year 😏😏😏 Also, they missed a HUGE opportunity for customization for those items, but still cool either way!

Aw man, I am *SO EXCITED*. I missed out on the year one eggs- so I really hope that they come back as I love them. The year two eggs? Blow my mind. They're absolutely sticking on my island year round!!

Favorite year 1 item was definitely the lamp. Year 2, I love the tall garden rock. But really though I like all the year 2 items, just really sad they’re not customizable.

If the old stuff were CUSTOMIZABLE I think it’d go over better. The pastels are so cute! But having all those mismatched pastels all at once hurt my eyes

I am in *love* with the new Easter items! They are very realistic in terms of what you would see at malls or other shops like Target or Walmart when shopping during Easter season and I love it! It also gave me nostalgia for Easter during childhood which is also very nice! I do like the Bunny Day items, but I kind of wished they rotated them out for a full event of the Easter items. My fave of the bunch is def the candy item. I do hope we get a year 2 version of Halloween and the Holidays!

That tree is AWESOME! It’s like a creepy style 👻 love it! I wasn’t a huge fan of the 1st Easter items but can honestly say they stepped it up for sure and I’m stoked! Can we time travel to get em now? 🙈 How’d you get yours early?? 😋

I would get these solely for cataloging purposes, but not for decoration. With how long it takes to plan a holiday design for your island, small holidays that don't have long "seasons" like Halloween and Christmas I find to be a waste of decorating time, tbh.

One item from previous games I feel was a missed opportunity to bring back is the bunny balloons. They weren't associated with Bunny Day in previous games, but I still think they would fit. I'm hoping they'll still be brought back in the future; maybe they could be added to the Fireworks Festival.

Could you imagine if the DIY’s had the same vibe as these new items 🤩 I was debating getting a switch lite to have a second island and have it be fairycore (as my main one is cottage/forestcore), then Nintendo announced the Sanrio characters (specifically Chai and Étoile), and now the new Bunny Day items? You got me. Take my money, Nintendo. All of it. Here.

I'm in love with the new items. The tree is definitely my favorite. I can't wait to see that, the planter, and the topiary intermingled with cherry blossoms. Also Bunny Day feels far more magical this year, especially with the toned down spawning, the week time frame (Festivale should've had a week D':), and of course my siblings' kids never got to experience it last year so it was amazing to be there when one of them dug up an egg and was so confused and mystified by it. Then they saw Zipper, thought he was super creepy, and are now fully diving into conspiracy theories about who is Zipper and why does he not want us to investigate his "not costume". XD

I didn't play Bunny Day real time, but as a TT. And it was just chaotic trying to get the Cherry Blossom items at the same time. Plus it was the first big event, etc. Seems like they've learned from last year. The detailing and unique features blow last years decor away. I don't even anticipate using all those clothes. Kinda wish we could unlearn DIYs.

I think year 2's items are so much nicer. The first ones were just...ugly honestly. The basket/balloons/party outfit and stuff like the lights were ok but everything else was super ugly. I'm happy this year we're getting better stuff. That planter looks great, like tulips growing.

I have a fairycore island I’m definitely leaving the tree up somewhere all year. I love all these new items. This will be my first bunny day. But I did get my hands on a bunny day chair, through nookazon. I actually love that item from last year. I plan on keeping that on my island year round too in a build. But I personally like this years items far better. They look less abrasive. I do love last years bunny day crown though. Again, I got that through nookazon, so I could wear it throughout this month. I think it’s cute. Though, while I love my fairycore island. I’m only 20% finished with it, and already getting bored with one theme. I may have to mix it up. This whole one theme for me is getting old, very fast. I love seeing other people’s themed islands. But, for me while my builds are different. I still feel like each one is slightly the same. It’s getting boring.

The items this year sacrificed quantity for quality but I am happy they did. Dunno how well they will go in my Sakura island, but I’ll have to get creative.

I wish the flag was customizable. It doesn't have to be a flag for every holiday (I would love that) but if it had even 2 or 3 different spring/bunny day patterns would make it better.

Love the planter box; when I first saw it, I thought they were tulips, which makes it useful for any spring-themed look. The tree and topiary are great! Of last year’s lot, the only useful ones are the basket and the balloons.

Year 2 Bunny Day items are better. I can see people incorporating the Year 2 items in their island decors. It will not really fit my island decor, but will try to incorporate the banner, planter and the topiary for the villager’s residence areas. Thanks you Pat for your postings. 😃🤙🏽

Will the year 1 DIYs still be attainable in year 2? I’m guessing we’ll still get the eggs and the DIYs will be in balloons and such, for those of us who came in later. But just checking.

The new items could easily be used all year long if they had a customization option to take he eggs off. The topiary bunny with the egg becomes just a topiary bunny, the planter becomes just grass....so simple to make a single customization option.

I hate last year item designs, i actually mentioned to a friend on some ideas for some items and i guessed 3 of them. Last years design are blah, rushed and just overall bad designs. I think cause I hate how the designs are just copy and pasted onto the next

Can you still time travel back to Bunny Day 2020? I thought you could, but I can’t seem to make it work.

Those items are very conveniently arriving in time for my island theme change. Plus they'll match perfectly! I love them, especially the planter box and topiary.

Year two is definitely superior. I wish we had the DIYs for those. I hope we'll be able to get multiple. They need to give a DIY for that planter except we can use flowers to make them. And I hope we get an Halloween version of that tree.

Omg, these are so cute!! I have been playing animal crossing since Day 1 and I did experience the first bunny day and I loved it and now I think I might love this one more!! I just wish they had more items because they are so cute and cuter than the year 1 items in my opinion but like you said pat, they are toned down a lot!!!!
