Let’s be honest we all wanted those design slots, we all knew we probably weren’t gonna get them. This video made me freaking scream.

being able to access the design portal outside of able's hours is huge for those of us who play well into the night

I just found this channel literally about thirty minutes ago n now he’s just put out a video about updates to the game. Gosh this is great- Also, I appreciate his voice n commentary so far.

I find it very interesting that they managed to let us design little flags to wave around but don't give us the ability to design skirts or trousers lol

I think this really proves that this is a designing game disguised as animal crossing. I'm interested to see how this will affect your predictions going forward, because I don't think anyone predicted these things coming, other than the smaller things like the cake.

The standee! OMG the potential. I wonder if you can use as walls for treehouse/ buildings that has real windows and not painted on, repeating pattern? You could put furniture in it and see in!! Or Doors in cafe with a window to look into a kitchen. My mind is on fire!

I'm a little sad that they didn't do a trailer for this update, these are some huge announcements just to drop it on twitter.

I saw the news about the designs and almost cried 😭 sooo happpyyyy

I think it’s a smart move for Nintendo to announce updates just a few days before they go live. This way expectations are being set and we all get hype for the surprise. I feel like for a while there (summer) we were expecting updates and after they didn’t come we were disappointed. I’m looking forward to the new features. Only 2 days away!!

This morning I tuned into a livestream where someone happen to be working on their island but they were actually looking at the article in nintendo, and I immediately found it on google and was so surprised. It seems like it’s going to be a great update, and I can’t wait to download it! Edit: anyone hoping the nooklink update was foreshadowing a future Katrina update?

Imagine making a amusement park, and Erik and Fauna went on a date. They stood in the standees and we used the selfie reaction. Ahh!

NINTENDO REALLY DID THAT 👏🏼 I could just kiss them for this update!! Game changer 🤯

I feel like in a game design perspective. I’m pretty sure It’s not necessarily difficult to render flat planes or apply diffident textures to existing models or simple models. Which is what the new design slots essentially do. But I’d think that them adding in new complex 3D model or making it so more existing Models can be used on an island, (like more shops, more villager plots, major terraforming changes with ability to terraform river mouths and beaches) would require larger more drastic changes to how the game works in order for it to run smoothly. I feel like the reason we’ve gotten custom design slot expansions and storage expansions is because in the menus the things displayed are simpler models or not displayed fully. I also think it’s important to remember these are updates not complete game overhauls so I wouldn’t expect any major changes to the amount of terraforming that can be done or buildings that are used in the game. simpler minor things they can develop in shorter amounts of time. I also think it’d be great if these changes were made but I don’t think it’s really feasible in short amounts of time. If those changes are made I wouldn’t expect them to be free.

Omg I searched this channel to see if there was any update news, was disappointed there wasnt, but watched the last update video about sanrio anyway, hit the back button, and this video appeared! I wish my psychic abilities extended beyond animal crossing :/

Pat it's a great update but they are still missing the 1 thing that I would love and that is for the custom pathway to show up if you use the Island Designer App. The other paths do so why not the custom ones. I paid my miles for this thinking it would be like the others and was sadly disappointed.

OMG when I tell you I almost screamed when finding out the news!! I love it!! The only things I wish for atm now is buying & crafting multiple things at once and being able to skip repeating dialogue (like in the airport) I think gaahh (Well and _not_ having to buy a freaking second switch for a second island but getting the option for another island by creating another character but ya know 🤡)

Love the whoopee cushion, and other items, I think Katrina could return because of the nook link app, the icon is the one that they used for jack, jingle, Franklin, pave, Leif, redd, other characters, I think she is coming! they should also have a redeem nook miles app into the nook miles app

Very excited for the added design slots. 😃. However, I was hoping they increase the storage capacity as well. They dropped so many new items - Christmas items new year items, festivale items, st. Patrick’s Day items, etc. Now with the new Sanrio items, etc. They keep dropping more and more items, I’m running out of space again. 😣.
