Haylea King: You ARE the only one who could possibly say “woodpecker” in YOUR mind. It was the number one answer, so a lot of people said it in THEIR minds.
+thesmokinggun42 Its not wrong per say, its just the answer more people answered. The people themselves were incorrect, but the answer here is based on how many said a certain choice.
+Kleptul How often do they ask questions with objectively unique right answers? (As opposed to several or many animals with "wood" in their names.) In this case, it's a sampling of the fraction of the populace who know the right answer -- four.
+Kelly Em4 to be more specific on this Jessica Tyler said new Orleans prob cause she misunderstood and then the goozer responded to her explaining that new Orleans is a city he/she said nothing of it being a state! so I'm pretty sure we know who the REAL moron here is its you. I don't like calling others names but if they dish out the names first I have no problem with it. by the by get a life and stop being mean to others it will get you nowhere in life
@@PearDBD to be fair, out of 50 states, that's kind of a lot to remember. I would have gotten it right, but I can also name just about every state capital off the top of my head.
How many states start with “New” States that start with New: New York, New Jersey, New Hampshire, New Mexico FOUR STATES, AND 3 WAS THE NUMBER ONE ANSWER. ARE YOU OKAY AMERICA
@@chadacox Jesus Christ. It's just trivia. Not knowing an insignificant factoid off the top of your head doesn't make you an idiot. That's the thing about most people. They all think the world is full of stupid people but are always too arrogant to believe they are one of them. Quickly! Without Googling it, who is the United States Secretary of the Interior on October 29th 2020? Or, what is the state bird of Nebraska?
this game show is not about correct answers it's about the most popular answer, and since the most popular answer was 3 it doesn't matter if he said the correct answer or not and I bet that if there was a question that said "how many months of the year end in ember?" most people would probably guess wrong if time and money are on the line
Thank you for pointing that out! Most, if not all the time, people answer according to the way they think or feel. Not according to how many in the audience probably would answer. Lose a lot of games that way!
The 2nd question shouldn't have even been on there considering that it's a fact question and not an opinion question. In addition, it shouldn't be that hard of a question for people who were born and/or raised in the USA.
I know! Why is it even on there? It's a FACT question where there is only a right answer and wrong answer. And every person who was raised in the USA should KNOW that it's 4. Like if you're so proud to live and grow up in the USA, you should know the names of the 50 stats. If you can remember the titles of 50 movies, then SURELY you can remember 50 states. And a great way is a song that I learned in 2nd grade in music class. Which is basically the states in alphabetical order.
Caralyn Calabrese That, and a book called "Scrambled States of America" (Which me and my little brother LOVED reading as little kids) helped me learn the states at the age of 7.
The state that starts with "new" was more of a Jeopardy factual question not like Family Feud where it's people being polled for opinions. Kinda unfair to put that one in there.
What I would like to know (besides why they would have the guy on crutches be the one that goes backstage) is what were the three other responses to the question "Name an animal with 'wood' in its name".
Not really so nail-biting. Once they got in the 180s, "woodpecker" was guaranteed to pull it over. As it was, it was almost sufficient by itself. (Woodpecker is a bird, but I'll give that a pass.)
knowing state names doesnt have anything to do with being smart. Smart is being able to calculate a satellite s position given its velocity and apogee. Knowing state names is just recalling trivial information.
Or being able to calculate the altitude of a geosynchronous satellite while half the class is saying that there is not enough information in the question.
Dennis Kovacich I didn't even know what apogee was without having to look it up, but I recognize a BURN!!! when I read one. High Five dude✋! Gotta love when condescending people are knocked off their high horse.
Dennis Kovacich thats technically correct. (the best kind of correct). but generally speaking, an orbit is the defining attribute of a "satellite". and id put forth the argument that its semantically the same as asking for a car's color. a car doesnt have a color but the bits that define the car do. and so when we ask what is the colour of the car, what we really mean is "what is the color of the paint on the panels that comprise the majority of the exterior of the car's body?" That is a mouth full and so in english we allow ourselves some semantic laziness which while perhaps imprecise, still conveys the idea clearly enough.
