Had a check engine light come on in my truck this morning. Thought I’d make a video and show you how to check your codes/erase your codes with a Smarty Junior programmer. Like and Subscribe!!!!!
I believe the battery code may be related to the issues you were having. If battery temp sensors indicates is it super cold it will charge higher volts. For the fan one. I have seen a fan code on my own 5.9 but mine was a soft code for the fan clutch. Generally harmless until you get to summer and find out that the ac is not cooling at low rpm or you're towing at low speed in hot weather and coolant temps get hot.
Man my I have been wondering about the fan! Cause in the summer it’s like my AC doesn’t work at idle when I first start the truck. But when I start driving it’s fine. Is the battery code something to worry about??? And maybe I need a new fan clutch???
@@hogie1685 I’d see if the battery code comes back. If it does there’s a sensor under the drivers side battery tray. May just need connection cleaned up or may need swapped out.
@@hogie1685 new one should give you ac at low rpm and cooling again. I still haven’t replaced mine but they are fairly easy to replace. You need either a special wrench to take it off or an air chisel to knock the nut loose.
