...love finding and hearing these too. Sure arent as many as there used to be for sure though. My local (small) non-manned airport, took theirs off the air a few years ago. PJY was their callsign at 216khz if I recall... That was up here in Perry County, llinois.
What antenna are you using during this video? Are you within range of any TIS (travelers' information stations)? I can usually hear a few at the bottom and top ends of the AM BCB, as well as links to them in the 72 MHz range. Thanks for posting.
I'm using my Alpha Delta DX-Ultra. It's setup as an inverted V. I live on 40 acres in the rural area of far Southern Illinois. Sometimes I phase both my alpha delta, and my magnetic loop together to peak and null. I use an antenna phaser box the MFJ-1026 Noise canceller and signal enhancer. Their is a TIS at Rend Lake about 15 miles or so away. But it's very weak and i've only been able to hear it a couple times.
I have been hunting LF beacons for a couple of years now, I use my Icom IC-7410 which has a fantastic receiver in this spectrum. So far I have about 135 beacons and many are going to be decommissioned.
