I am convinced that my engine (489 cu big block) issue is valve float. I go through the process of checking valve springs with a LSM on engine valve spring checker PC-1000SLC. I pull springs with a tool I got off of amazon - Powerbuilt 940541 and do a bench baseline. The springs on the engine have 3-5k miles, PAC 1243 and I ordered a new set of PAC 1343 as potential replacement (same ratings 13 series have a post process that makes the wire smoother). I find some wear issues but ended up reusing old springs and keeping the new ones as spares. I disappointed myself when i discovered that it wasn't a float issue and ignition related. We have all been there but at least a few things were checked and mitigated.. Enjoy the video.
