I think at the time people check their person’s phone, it’s because they low key know their person is phony (pun intended 🤣) and you will definitely find whatever you’re looking for - some reason to be pissed or to convince yourself you need to leave after seeing with your eyes what your intuition has been telling you and I respect that some people are that way. I personally don’t need to see what’s in the phone to know for sure what my gut has been telling me. I already be having chest pain, I'm not trying to get a heart attack. But hey - if it gives you peace in some way, by all means, do it.

I don't ever need to check, my intuition and dreams always alert me, info always has a way of finding me when I am not looking. I respect people's privacy but also know that sometimes context is important. I agree with first checking yourself first.

I know my husband’s phone more than he knows it. He knows my passwords and I know his. All apps uploads settings, updates etc are done by me. So that’s how open our phones are. If I wasn’t updating it I think he would still be stuck like at iOS 10 🤣.

This topic........ where do I start to comment???? I have been married for 9 years, together for 12 and I have never felt the need to check my husband's phone. The person I dated before him though, I felt the need to even if I never really did it because I didn't have the space to and I am not a very sneaky person like that. I just don't have the energy for it. So it has a lot to do with who you are dating/married to. But like you ladies mentioned, when you take that step to check your partners' phones, be mentally prepared for what you might find and ask yourself what are you going to do with that information? If nothing, then protect your peace and stay away from that phone.

If u can't allow me check your phone, that's a red flag!!!! I believe a serious relationship should allow checking each other's phone, openness is paramount and fundamental for a serious relationship and hiding information in the phone means you are a wolf in a sheep's skin, what information should your partner not know that u should hide, that's my opinion.

Checked, found a can of worms, told them I checked & we definitely aren’t together anymore 😂 I think every situation is different. We are constantly changing. Circumstances cause people to compromise their values. It’s hard to say really. But I agree that if your instinct is telling you to check, then that’s a red flag. It’s likely that a can of worms awaits you.

I think when you are married the Idea is that we are one what is yours is mine and vice versa, so we need to set the expectations straight from the very beginning. I personally don't mind, I have no password on my phone and neither does my husband, there instances when he asks for me to check his phone and when I do as well. We are open to checking each other's phones,the liberty is there.

Otherwise, when u get married, merge yo accounts so that u become one as people have been hoodwinked to believe by this church BS!! U can't become one regardless of being married. Thats an illusion being pushed by marriage advocates. Married people simply share common interests n try 2 uplift each other in the process of living together. But they'll always be 2 separate pple who may like doing certain things their partners may not enjoy which btw is perfectly ok . Enjoy yo differences cuz those keep the relationship exciting. The one thing I agree with is what Prim says about developing that instinct to check. I have been in positions where I checked my ex's phone and it was always the belief that something is not right, I indeed found all I was looking for. Let's not get into how he explained himself in the dumbest way and I still stayed over and over again.🤣 I have understood its not something representative of my nature unless there is absolute reason to do. I have never gotten the urge to check my current partner's phone at all. Even in situations I ably could, I just have zero gas to because nothing is pushing me in that direction. If the relationship is making you want to check, it may be about time to check if its where you really want to be..

I'm team Fiona, I have never checked my partners phone both the ex's and the current, I'm just not interested, I can also say that I trust so much then again the moment my instincts would send me that direction, I will just leave because how do you be with someone you can't trust especially now that I'm still dating. Nyonyozi you've put a smile on my face. Personally, how can you date a guy who go to the bathroom and carry his phone, eventually his phone was never down. Adding on with different things, being treated poorly, different staffs led me to use a friend on Insta cause I knew I would never get access to his phone. Guess what? It never took him a day to show how strong cheater he is. So guys you know why you want to check. I advise you check in case you have a lot of facts which you want to prove.
