Imagine seeing it the first time in a midnight theater while you and your friends are passing a joint back an forth, then you could smoke in theaters, now that was some funny shit you'll never forget!
only famous last words when *an addict (well, future addict) tries drugs for the first time. most who try drugs never even develop a habit, let alone an addiction.
I enjoy watching the people in the background because a lot of times with these movies they never warned the public that they were going to film a movie. So most people you see are real pedestrians and not actors. They usually look around like wtf??
@@JayKay-zt2bo It's called guerilla filmmaking. Filming in public without a permit is usually illegal. UCB perfected the technique, and would air the clips during the end credits of their TV show. Hilarious stuff visited on an unsuspecting public.
I can't, this is gotta last me, and this is all I got, must have used those lines a thousand times, definitely one of my favorite lines and scenes of all their movies
I've only told the story to my four closest friends at a Christmas party. It was only about a week after it happened. 1/2 found it funny, the other two were repulsed and almost gagging
Oh holy shite! I'd actually forgotten that one, I'm sitting here with tears running down my face, I've been cackling so madly that both the cats came to investigate.....those guys are treasures. I'm gonnta get all my old pals together and watch 'Up in Smoke' again.
I was by myself driving 70 mph down a rural highway with a tow truck behind following me to my friend and his wife's house to drop off a car I wreaked. It was dark outside and I had to go so bad I was actually squirming around in the seat so I pissed and actually filled a 72 oz drink mug I had with me stuck it up on the dashboard of my SUV but when I turned right it slid and spilled like a Tsunami wave and soaked my pants from top to bottom lol I was 50 miles from my own house. The moral of this story is never piss in any motor vehicle especially off a motorcycle unless you're at a complete stop
I remember when coke was not even considered addicting, People just didn't go out looking for it, usually people just smoked pot and drank beer or wine, but then if there was some coke around, that was something to do now and then at a party, not anybody thinking about living on the stuff. I sometimes think the government did something to it to make it addictive.
The coke that came through in the 80’s was very pure. Coke is addicting, but when it’s cut, a gram doesn’t take you as far. The high purity is what made it addictive. Nowadays there’s been instances of suppliers cutting it with fentanyl. A very dirty business indeed.
Next movie is the best Cheech & Chong film, hands down. From the garbage can of gas, to the red curtains in the van, to "How do u get this thing outta first?!", and to "Watch the road. Why where's it gonna go!?" To me, Next Movie was simply better than Up in Smoke.
I remember i was a guard for a prison in texas some guys in a cell were described and i quote on the radio "couple of offenders actin like cheech and chong in their cell" then i acted stupid and said "who's cheech and chong" i shit you not everybody including a sergeant and a LT looked at me like i was from mars
