2022 and this is still their best routine they have ever had . The energy, timing tumbling/specialty passes, the jumps are 100% perfect . I want this for them again more then anything
They have one of the most difficult partner stunts, cleanest jumps, most sync tumbling passes, not the best dance but they always have the most memorable pyramids!! 2015 The Revenge Of The TEALS!
2023 and till this day, the best cheerleading rountine I’ve ever seen. This team made me fall in love with cheer more then I was in 2013. I love cheer for ever will hold a special place in my heart.
I don't think any coach bases their fliers weight in the decision. Erica is a heavier flier, but she is good which is why she is a flier. Maddie G was 5'8, and she was a flier. She still is a flier in college, now at 5'9. You'd think they would pick the shorter people, but it's really all about who is flexible and who can stay in the air. The shortest flier is Amber C. She is not even 5ft tall, but she is good.
I love watching Courtney and Ben freak out when everything hits. Ben during running tumbling is cracking me up with his butt sticking out, crouching on the floor.
They so deserved it. The tumbling formations. The stunt difficulty/ creativity/ cleanliness. Their beautiful jumps. The technique on their tumbling. The basket sequence with Molly's double reload basket. The transition into the 10 stunts where they flip Amber craft into a Tic Tok. The rest of the pyramid. Just unbelievable.
I think Taylor Minchew is an all around amazing cheerleader. Perfect jumps, amazing tumbler, gorgeous in the air. My question is though, does she have any specialty running passes? I don't think I've ever seen her do a specialty pass, even though she has a standing 1 to double, toe to a 2 to double, etc.
I'm a fan of ca cheetahs but OMG that's perfection, fierceness and just flawless! They got gold and they deserved it bc of their stunning routine. They just rocked it.
Nothing. I just noticed that it seems i'm talking about both teams as they were kinda the same or something. I was just saying i prefer ca cheetahs large coed but all girl routine was flawless.
It is smart wat Courtney did I would want my coach to ask the judges so that we could win and I always wondered why Senior Elite routines are different the second day they compete. If u ever watch there routines there Day 2 routine is a little bit different than Day 1 she is doing wat it takes to make sure her team wins and what is so wrong with that it is a competition not lets all be friends and get last place
Omfg that was amazing. Their pyramid and stunts are incredible. This was so entertaining. I hope ESPN shows large senior on tv. I want to stars since it's Kelsey's last worlds and SE finally winning two years in a row. In 2011 when they lost, did they lose because of a short dance? And would they have won if their dance was longer? Just curious not say they should or shouldn't have won
To my understanding, they get more difficulty when you double down out of a scorpion or a scale due to the fact its harder to do so other than a arabesque! :)
When people say its the same routine every year and different music I think they're wrong...I've watched senior elite for a while now and this was by far the most amazing routine I've seen from then everything looked awesome I was entertained the entire time no boring spots for me whatsoever. Great job ladies!
I know we all love this routine, but please take a moment to watch the Day 1 performance to really appreciate what they changed to win Worlds.. so many changes and it absolutely paid off
Senior elite deserved gold! They changed half the routine in one night and preformed at worlds the next day! I'd also LOVE to see Molly as point flyer next year!!
They're jumps are really good! And they've seriously stepped up their tumbling. Add that to their increased flexibility, already amazing stunting, pyramids and dances. There was no way they weren't taking home the gold!
you can tell they worked hard this year on their tumbling and dance!!! their tumbling is perfect and their dance is so energized! best iv ever seen them!
They already have the team up and posted on cheer extreme.com its in Raleigh, and theirs a list of who made the team, Maddie didn't even try out so.....
Actually, the "cheat" was that Courtney approached the judges to ask them what specific things they needed to change in order to increase their overall score, and then changed their routine based on what the judges said. Honestly, I feel like talking to the judges shouldn't be allowed, actually... And apparently, so do other people since it stirred a bit of controversy. Anyway, it's all over now. In the end, CEA DID deserve their win.
F5 didn't score higher than senior elite in any category, Stars & Panthers both scored higher in tumbling, but that's it. Panthers scored 5 points higher & Stars about 2 higher. but SE's building score was almost 7 points higher than panthers & about 6 higher than stars. And their choreo score was 3 points over panthers & 2 over stars. So it wasn't just the pyramid, it was stunts too:) they have 2 different stunt sequences so that & the pyramid help with building scores.
Yes, I believe so. I remember a LOT of tweets of athletes who were shocked that they weren't allowed to celebrate on the mat anymore. I think the rules state that : - teams must walk in and out of the mat as quickly as possible - lying down on the mat after the routine is only allowed if medical attention is needed - coaches are not allowed to take the floor But I'm not completely sure...
Me TOO!!!!! Molly is clearly a team player and even maybe a "mother hen" type to these younger kids. Molly has been on Senior Elite longer than any one in the gym. She came on this team in 2008 in the 6th grade. When she graduates next year she will have been on this team alone 7 years. No one has ever been on this team as long as her in the CEA history because she came under the grandfather age clause. Each year age went up to be on a senior team, she had already been on it,
How is this the same as past years? Where's the 360 tick tocks, or a ball up 360 tick tock? I've definitely never seen 3 girls do a 1 1/2 through to double in running tumbling on Senior Elite. And I don't recall seeing Ashley do 3 whips to double (like last year). She definitely didn't do a whip, full, whip, Arabian through to double last year. Wait.. Maybe they did 1 1/2 ups to bow & arrow last year...noooo, I don't think so. Lol I think you might need to do a little research :) just sayin haha
I was an all star cheerleader back in the late 90's when it was first starting up. This team and their technique is flawless in this routine. And their "slow jam" music is awesome. I'm helping to coach kids now and I tell them all to look up senior elite for inspiration!
Yeah, it was really late when I wrote this and I realized that they actually did the basket tosses after the second stunt after I already posted it. My bad... I know SE aren't the only team that does the same layout. I think F5 has kept the same layout as well, except in 2010 they didn't have a second stunt.
You have to admit that there are similarities in the layout of Senior Elite's routine. Since 2010, the layout has gone: Opener/standing tumbling, first stunt, jumps, tumbling, baskets, second stunt, dance, pyramid. I'm not insulting them by any means. This layout clearly works for them, so they really shouldn't change it, but I see what they're saying.
Ok I rooted for SE and was happy when they won. but where on the score sheet did they beat out stars, panthers, and F5? they didnt seem to have the tumbling like them or their stunts didnt look harder then the other three..did they get the win off their pyramid?
Hmm, you know what I don't get... How is everybody mad at & bashing the ladies on Senior Elite when they went out there & put their hearts on the floor just as much as everyone else & did an amazing job. If you THINK another team should have won blame the judges NOT Senior Elite!
The way you say that makes it sound like she cheats. That's untrue. Almost every team makes improvements for day 2 in order to step up their game. Senior Elites changes this year were bigger because they didn't have a good day one and they knew they needed to give more... and they did.
