The King reassured fellow cancer patients about the state of his health telling them "I'm well" during a visit to University College Hospital Macmillan Cancer Centre in London. . Report by Faith Ajagbe.

So why not reveal the cancer and the treatment? Was it chemo that will result in hair loss? Was it a pioneering new treatment that does not? He looks the picture of health in some regards so why not share his journey with other sufferers? It’s high time this nonsense of an anointed king, ‘majestic’ and somehow more worthy than his ‘subjects’ A reply like ‘I’m well’ is obviously puzzling.
@@user-rx5vo3nt4z King Charles would be the first to say he is not more worthy than anyone, BUT his position and role IS. Further he has a lifetime of experience that no one else has that makes him a worthy servant and yes, okay, “majestic” as you put it. I haven’t thought of him that way before, but the word majestic meaning impressive, beautiful, dignified, inspiring ticks a lot of boxes for King Charles. And his work is all those things! However, just because he is a public servant at the highest level, does not make him any less of a human being with rights of privacy. He is not property. And King Charles will always put his best foot forward and try his best and utmost to appear as well and to do as much as he can. It is an extra responsibility, because he is the respected and cared for King and leader of the United Kingdom with an important local and global profile. His strength is the strength of the Kingdom on many levels. Anyway, I question that you would demand anymore of him. If you really do see him as being like everyone else, then you should be able to discern the incredible responsibilities he has beyond the average cancer patient. And you may imagine that even as he appears as best as he can, you will never know the behind the scenes, nor should you. Rest assured that as King Charles is now the Patron of Cancer Research UK, anything SAFE and good that can come from his experience will inform the King in his dedicated role as patron to support research for EVERYONE. I don’t know of any other global leader who has been so effected and now is publicly dedicated to fighting cancer. Of this you can be very proud! You can see his heart on his sleeve consoling cancer patients. Perhaps it is because of his strong faith and being “anointed” (such a traditional concept in this commercial age) that he is a soulful man who truly cares! Such ceremony can shape and guide generations. I hope that beyond criticizing, you might actually be inspired to find your own niche in the cause as the King has. That would indeed be “majestic.” 💫
HM The King was clearly listening and asking questions. As with many issues the King has Championed over the decades this is one that I think will get a huge amount of his focus, to the betterment of those diagnosed now and in the future. I know there was the conversation about early detection, testing, scans etc BUT it is concerning that with the private doctors available to HM The King and HRH The Princess of Wales their cancer's were detected during theatre operating procedures!!

@@ijg4427 I don't disagree but it is nice to see the King up and about. My mother has stage 4 breast cancer, has had one breast removed, went back to work and now they are investigating the other breast. I am recuperating from a hysterectomy in which I had stage 4 sciatic endometriosis. This nothing to do with his grades and past history. This is about them in the now. Yes he's King, but he's also a human just like everyone else. He's up and about after enduring a trauma experience, having to think how this is going to affect his family, the monarchy and his postion. I say hats off to him for getting back out there. God save The King. ❤
@@ijg4427Copy and paste the same pathetic comment. Every day the King receives Laws that the Government want to introduce or amend and nothing gets passed without his signature. He meets with the Prime Minister weekly and Zoom calls many of the Commonwealths Head of State. As the Prince of Wales he set up the Princes Trust using his Navy severance pay and to date has helped over a million youngsters gain employment and start up businesses. He was the first Duke of Cornwall to turn the Duchy into a profitable enterprise which has benefitted many via donations and food banks etc. What have YOU done for your country?
The king and queen will have done more in 5 minutes for all these patients than any drug could have done, with their thoughtfullness ,care and compassion but most of all, they brought hope. I thank them for today.X
Sue you are so right . Positiveness is so so important and these few moments with someone who’s on their 5 or 6 treatment could mean so much and just get you over that hurtle ..
Our founding fathers REJECTED the old monarchy CULT and ALL Americans need to reject it as well since our countries foundation is built without an ARCHAIC monarchy. PLEASE DO NOT BE A CULT FOLLOWER.

This is what I wish for him, his daughter in law and all other people, who have this illness,my sister included. Bless you all.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Someone else from GERMANY cares for you ❤🇩🇪❤

@@ijg4427Oh do give over, people can leave school with excellent results, does not make them a decent human being, well our King is, look at The Princes Trust, helped thousands of young people, he is also fighting cancer, have you a heart does not appear so.
@@ijg4427 anyways he is working for British nation, he ain't sitting back and running from all services. And he's a king. We can't expect a royal person to walk everywhere. We have to respect him for coming back to services.
How nice. After King has being struggling with his own disease, he keeps more and more supportive to those in need, showing attention to health services and other patients.
Indeed He is a Wonderful Man , I remember this time last Year , I was just finishing My Second Chemo session. Thank God I Survived. God Save the King. Not bad for an Irish Guy.
I find myself tearing up at this video…I’m an American but to see your King showing empathy and kindness to people, knowing he’s dealing with cancer himself, is just so heartwarming. I hope he continues to do well in his recovery, and gets a clean bill of health to begin to count down the years since he’s been diagnosed!
As a current breast cancer patient, kudos to you sir for visiting with these patients. Cancer affects patients and their families emotionally and mentally as well as physically. No doubt your empathy as a cancer patient helped boost the spirits of those you visited.
There is a saying that says people can not imagine what others are going through unless the experience it themselves, well the King, well and truly knows how they feel.
Well, to some degree anyway. Many of the patients there may well have financial worries following their diagnoses - that's probably not in his list. But then, _he_ may have worries that are not theirs... 🤷
What a comforting and poignant visit. No one can understand how you feel when facing such a challenging diagnosis, as someone who has experienced it. God bless King Charles, Princess Catherine, Duchess Sarah, and everyone facing their own challenging health issues. As Princess Catherine said, "You are not alone." Teams of health care professionals continue to work on improving treatments and outcomes.⚕️❤️🩹 God bless the Royal Family and God Save the King! 💖👑 💖
What a perfect first outing for King Charles and Camilla. You could tell that he was really listening to the patients and they could relate to each other. 😻😁😻
God bless everyone around the world who has gone and is still going through this dreadful disease. For those we've lost we've never forgot you and I've lost everyone in my family to it. I'm all that is left of my blood family. I am terrified of going to the doctors now. I am proud of our King and Princess of Wales to go through this with so much hatred been thrown at them is disgusting but we love them and want them safe and well. 2024 has been a doozy so far can we please not have anymore.
Good to see Their Majesties back again and happy ,God Bless them and all Monarchies reigning and without thrones ,This is why I say Monarchy cares people and Republic makes money out of them ,God Save The King love and blessings from India 👑🇮🇳♥️🇬🇧🤴👸

Great to see HM The King returning to public duties and visiting a Hospital Cancer Unit for his first appearance. The King was clearly listening and asking questions and I think we can count on him to champion this issue as he has with many issues over the decades. I know there was the conversation concerning early detection, scans, testing etc but its worrying that both HM The King's and HRH Princess Catherine's cancer's were detected during theatre procedures after tests and scans had taken place and were both shown to be benign???? 🇬🇧🇬🇧
Cancer is a chameleon. Some forms defy detection, but the sooner you catch it, the sooner you can treat it. Get regular checkups, and don't ignore things that seem unusual. The sooner you can get answers, the better. ❤️🩹
How absolutely lovely to see the King and Queen working an event together. Anyone that goes through chemo, it’s so nice to get visits from family and friends. My hospital stays were 5 days, so it got a bit boring at times.
😊👼👼👍🏻✌️ Blessed are thou King Charles the Third and blessed is thy Royal Family; Blessed are thou with healing ❤️🩹, Powers, Strength and abundance of grace; Amen IC XC
