Yeah, nice flyer, except for the Lipo battery. Here in Southern California we use Nimh so we don't cause a brush fire if crashing hard. But luckily Australia doesn't have that concern?

I have an all white glider from eBay that looks just like that, haven't been able to decide fully how to mod it, won't be doing a slope soarer here but increasing it's control surfaces looked nice

Ive got one of these on my next BG purchase list... Ive got a bunch of 2S 450mah batteries for my micro quad & Im wondering what would be a good esc & motor to put on the front of this... Would you have any suggestions please? I'd prefer something thats NOT going to be spinning its guts out if possible & probably on a 5 or (most likely) 6inch prop... Thanks in advance, again! :D

This is the smallest motor I have tried, with a 12A Turnigy Plush ESC www.banggood.com/EMAX-MT1806-KV2280-Brushless-Motor-For-Multirotor-p-933931.html Works well on my N3utron with 5" prop

Amazing for just a chuck glider. Looks a bit lightweight for that strength of wind though... If I get one for sloping I'm thinking I might laminate it. Also do you think it would fly better with a bit of the polyhedral taken out?

For anything aerobatic no dihedral is best

180g to 250g spending on ballast. At this stage I have only tested the high wind end of the scale.

Radical. Mount them anywhere, then make sure the CG is correct

How does this one handle inverted? Also looks kinda prone to stalling on the turns.

Not good inverted, likes to tip stall in turns.

Hi Andrew. First an enormous Thank-You for the many clips you have posted. In the past i flew for real (motor planes and some glider).Last year at 71 i started flying RC planes with your help and some other publishers. Your clips are always well organised and clear to understand even for strangers like me (Dutch living in France). Lots of suggestions i have applied on my planes. One request: as you know the U-glider very well, could you help me with my problem? why does he rear-up in growing wind and dive shortly after? it makes the flying difficut to conrol. In a steady wind it is a dream to fly and i can release the sticks. Nothing special: G-r6x under the wing, a 2s950mA and Esc in the nose. After your first clip about Cheetah i decided to do the same but (after your remark) added a servo on the rudder.It is not very efficient, but the stabilizer and ailerons (even not expanded) are sufficient for me. I have lots of fun with this little glider. So Once more: thank you, and don't stop posting

Hi Peter. Mine does the same. I think the motor needs to be angled down a little for level powered flight. I mixed some down elevator with throttle to reduce the problem

Haha, it took me 10min to find it, well hidden in the bush. Yes it was a scary 1m climb but we both survived.

@@AndrewNewton No Worries, Last Month I Flew A Maiden Sunset Fly On A New Aluna Power Glider Acroos The Street In Front Of My Ranch, Is A 50+ Acres Grass Field With Only One Big 40' Oak Tree At A Corner, Well Coming Around For Final The Wind Was Blowing 10-15 mph & I Stuffed It Right Into That Tree At Near Dark, I Guess My Depth Perseption Was Off By 20'... Took Me 1 Hour To Get It Down Next Day & Look For The Prop That Came Off In 18" Tall Grass For Another 1/2 To Find It... Damned Trees! LMAO

I don't know what it weighs, but I'm guessing it's close to the 250g mark. What a great way to avoid paying the £16.50 'Drone Registration' rip-off hobby tax here in the UK! Having said that, how long will it be before some government bod notices that RC nuts are having a lot of fun with teeny planes and micro motors and mini LiPos, and lowers the registration threshold to 50g...
