Back in the day, I loved that every character had their own theme. You could get up for a snack and hear this, and you knew Cheetara was running. They don't have art like this anymore in animation.
Legend of Korra ended less than 10 years ago. Steven Universe less than 5 (especially great music). The Owl House concluded this year. The good stuff still pops up now and then.
Qué belleza! Ya ven? Lo pueden apreciar? Los 80's fueron mágicos, únicos e inigualables. La mejor década en cuanto a música, películas, series y dibujos animados 🎶🫵😍🎶
I believe that Cheetara was legit my first crush when I was 4 yrs old back in 1988.. She wasn't overly sexualised or anything and she not only was beautiful, heroic and strong.... and freaking fast.
Aside from the fact that she was the first nude cartoon female on regular television you mean in the first episode when all the Thundercats have no clothes on?
Yeah, but even at that, it's just *nudity*, not "nude and lookin' to shag" or anything like that. Not over-the-top, just no clothes and nothing weird about that.
Cheetara was always my favorite of the Thundercats (Even though I love the others too) She’s everything a woman wants to be. She’s strong courageous independent fearless yet she’s loving, nurturing, caring as well as beautiful and a badass.
Wilykit and Wilykat have their own theme, it's playful but very short. It was taken off youtube when the account that posted a lot of the score was disabled unfortunately.
How could I forget this song if it's marked on my mind forever... When I was a kid, i used to be the fastest between my friends, we pretended to be a kind of heroes which I was the kid flash but secretly, in my mind, when I ran.. came this theme to my mind and I pretended to be just as fast as Cheetara.
I like the driving force of the bass line, the brass ensemble. The guitar solo is a nice touch. The composer was visualising a cheetah's day in life whe he came up with this song.
Cheetara was perhaps the best Action Girl of the '80s. She was extremely competent, capable and an asset to the team in an era where Damsels in Distress and Faux Action Girls were still predominant. Before all the feminazi shit took off, she was handing out lessons on how to be a strong, smart and capable woman. That makes the character all the more cherished and memorable.
Can't disagree that she was a cut above and able to stand toe to toe with her foes. Unlike other female characters. Only ones I really recall being on the same level were those of GI Joe female characters who could be as sharp as a tack and quick with the wit and be able to back it up. As well as Robotech characters, especially as they were developed originally.
Cheetarah was my first Anime crush back when I was a kid watching this...she's awesomely sexy and her theme does her character justice and the guitar solo part gets me the most...damn, I miss this so much
If they EVER finally fookin make the live-action movie and there is NOT a sequence of Cheetara running through a forest to THIS song?!?... Maaaan, I don't know what I'd do, that would be a bigger insult than Thundercats Roar.
Whenever I see anything run fast this is the music in my head. And whenever I have to do something hard or that involves alot of work.. the thundertank theme...
Imagine this song playing during a Walter Payton highlight reel as Al Michaels narrates... Or Play the link below in another window and Turn off the music... and turn up the Cheetara theme... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ShjAvp9FG8Q.html
True story, I broke my nose be because I was trying to run fast like Cheetara. and The wall eventually ended my run and I broke my nose. Every time someone would ask, I’d say I broke my nose trying to pretend I was Cheetara. The boys thought I was the coolest girl ever. Good ole days! This was the best cartoon right next to He-Man and Jem!
My adult self was in Walmart and saw a open check out lane… than I noticed another person saw the samething! So I ran super fast with this theme playing in head… it’s sad how I beat that 80 yr old woman to the checkout line 😮
I love her design! Sleek and the colors match so well and speaks to her what her character is, just like a cheetah! Like damn I would let her jab me with that pole lmao.
