Does anybody remember when the nameless mutant henchman swung the mace at Panthro in the pilot episode? He caught it, crushed it with his bare hands, and literally laughed in Dude's face. The realest.
+YDgy772 I believed Panthro said to that nameless mutant, "I'm gonna loosen some bones for ya too!" That nameless mutant at the time happened to be Monkian. It was he who set Panthro's line by exclaiming, "The Thundercats... they're loose!"
+EBFightTalkZB You sure? I remember it as a jackalman grunt but I could be wrong. Man, that moment was so badass I can't believe I never thought about how great it really was.
I was always fascinated with the engineering side of Panthro. None of his vehicles ever had a breakdown. Even the small details like the red and blue claws on the Thundertank Resembled Panthro's weapon. I was so proud of Panthro as a black kid that in the event there was ever a physical fight. I truly felt "We are wasting our time"
Panthro was my favorite thunder cat, the guy was a deadly combatant and great mechanic and inventor. A balance between brute strength and intellect, making him one the last thunder cats you would want to face in combat.
El Ing. Mecánico, Técnico - Mecánico, Ing. Metalurgista, Ing.
Me decía hijo, allí tu padrino Panthro!!! Lindos recuerdos!!
I like how this concept sheet of Panthro looks like he's fighting himself x3 and neither one is beating the other as they all seem to be avoiding each others attack.
i bought the entire original collection made in 1985 for my kids to watch and they don't mind it's old. they're having a blast. everyday they ask me for a new episode. the old cartoons are a master piece.
If anyone took the time to analyze the Panthro character they would respect and know why this theme fits Panthro perfectly. The theme is dynamic but doesn’t take itself too serious. Panthro was serious, a mechanical genius and also had a cool sense of humor. Awesome character
Pantheon is my favorite Thurndercat. He reminded me of my older brother who is a martial artist, uses nunchucks, and was in the Army at the time Thundercats first aired. My bro was also rocking a shaved head back then. He could've been a live action Panthro. 🤣
The panthro theme sounds like something the Stanley Clarke would have done. From the electric guitar intro to the strong Funk bass line throughout the rest of the song. Outstanding theme song overall.
00:00 *Slithe*: Sssooo I face the great Panthro...I am not impressssed Panther.... **readies axe** *Panthro*: You're no work of art yourself ya scaly reptile. **readies nunchucks** Lets see what you've got ssslythe BEST MOMENT EVER!!!
Favorite moment with this song playing Snarf and Panthro get their bodies switched by Vultureman The mutants start attacking Cat's Lair, Snarf (as Panthro) runs at them and does a full on flying kick Haha classic
(Slithe's ax is broken) SLITHE: I am unarmed, Thundercat. Dare you face me the same way? Panthro (pocketing his nunchuks): I prefer it! We'll settle this hand to hand.
I can't lie when I was a kid back then in Elementary school I use to get into alot of fights the opening Riff of this instrumental use to play in my head like a loop before I fought when I heard this I knew clearly I'm going to win this fight lol
Slithe: "So I face the great Panthro. I am not impressed, Panther!" Panthro: "You're no work of art, yourself you scaly reptile.. let's see what you got, Slithe."
Just starting back watching thundercats on Amazon. And I couldn't help but go on here to listen to Panthero themes. Also as I was watching "Civil War" this past weekend, looking at the scenes with black panther I couldn't help but think man someone create a montage with black panther and this theme please!
LMFAO 😹😹😹... good one I see what you did. He WAS always fixing that "Catillac" tho. And you're not being "racist"...if ppl really watch & listen they can tell Panthro is a "Brotha." He was the one character I most identified with as a child. He reminded me of some of my cool/smoov...yes "SMOOV" Uncles from my family & "around the way." That knew how to get things done, work hard, kick it to the ladies, throw them hands if need be, keep a clean car & "threads"(dating myself). A REAL MAN that stood by his word & protected his Family. He was the Thundercats' BLACK PANTHER. "THUNDERA FOREVER!!!"
@KeweKrypto 12 C'mon, dude. If you couldn't pick up that a character who was inexplicably adept at multiple disciplines, had the only theme reminiscent of black 70s disco, used nunchucks like Jim Kelly and was voiced by the deep rich tone of Earle Hyman was in fact a representation of a black man... then I'm really not sure what show you were watching, bruv.
@@sylvestergause7219 I always saw Panthro as a black badass guy... Notice how its theme is kinda funk from the seventies... In a way, going a little far, he may be even remotely related to the Black Panthers... No doubt, the most awesome of the Thundercats...
