That feeling when you think "nobody's gonna have uploaded this," and then you find somebody has, in perfect quality, and you listen to it about 50 times 😸
In one of the first episodes, he used the word "reconnoiter." Six year old me got up, grabbed a dictionary, and learned a new word. Tigra made me learn.
@@thediplomasta5891 Yep When I was babysitting my niece she watched teletubbies I'm pretty much like "why doesn't my niece watch Thundercats Swat Kats He man or She Ra?" We had the most awesome cartoons back in the day, now it's all........fluff
Tygra's tune has strength and hints of mystic flair about him, due to his mind power and intelligence. His character was about quiet grace and subtlety.
I love Tygra. He was a guys guy. He was the kind of guy you would go to when you’d need advise, like a big brother. He was a bit of a stiff at times but he knew how to have fun too. He’s also very wise, loyal, helpful, and an all around good friend to have. Unlike the 2011 reboot version. They did a complete 180 with Tygra’s character
Yeah, they did but I kinda liked the change - sibling rivalry and all that. You could see how he and Lion-O were growing closer as the episodes progressed. I wish they had continued that series, I thought it was good and was heading in a good direction. And this is coming from a 46 yr old who grew up on the original.
Tygra was ALWAYS my favorite. Not to say I didn't love the hell out of Lion-o, Panthro, Cheetara and the kittens. But Tygra was just that awesome supportful fella that knew who he was, what his role was, never had jealousy and was SLICK as hell with some of his gadgets, security systems and that awesome whip of his.
@@tmntfangirl4700 But he had an arc, found something he was good at, overcame his problems/flaws, and supported his brother in the end. Let's not shit on the reboot--it was pretty awesome, especially compared to some other reboots.
@@BrotherApexx That may be but his character just rubbed me the wrong way in the beginning that I just couldn’t over look. I still prefer the ‘85 version of Tygra.
There's a misnomer on Tygra: they say he's an architect. He's more civil engineer than architect. Per a lady friend of mine who is a civil engineer the main difference between an architect and a civil engineer is an architect's primary function is the aesthetic quality of the structure to make it look good. A civil engineer's job is the actual design and construction of the structure. Both overlap somewhat
That reminded me of Denver the last dinosaur, which had a rocky intro. And Silverhawks, Dinosaucers, Pole Position, MASK...in other words: more or less all the popular cartoons from the 80's!
I should have mentioned M.A.S.K. it was awesome! I still have the first M.A.S.K. toy I ever got still 100% complete with all it's original pieces, the Thunderhawk with Matt Trakker.
I never realized just how intricate the soundtrack to the ThunderCats really was! It blows my mind that such music was created for a Saturday morning children's show. This sounds more like something you'd hear in a NFL films highlight film from the 80's. Dan Marino to Mark Duper for the 65 yard Touchdown pass!
Composer Bernard Hoffer also composed the theme song for the PBS Newshour from 1975-1983, and the second version from 1983-2006, so you're not far off lol
Louis Henry how come tygra did not turn invisible against SJ than. After he captured cheetara in them rocket cuffs. It tygra turns invisible I think he betas SJ.
WHALEDOGS9111 That's a good question I don't think it would've mattered, Safari Joe new all the Thundercats strength and weaknesses and would've figured out away to neutralize Tygra's invisibility so either way he was screwed.
El thundercat con extraños poderes!! El arquitecto, ingeniero civil, ingeniero químico, ingeniero petroquímico, químico, ingeniero metalurgista, ingeniero minero, ingeniero geólogo!! lo máximo!! Su inteligencia y tranquilidad era impresionante!!
When the Thundercats were remade them abandoning these character specific themes really alienated me. The music really set it apart. The new one was a dud for many reasons but the music especially.
I will always remember Tygra 🐯 for being the architect, genius, scientist, and noble member of The Thundercats instead of the adopted brother of Liono 🦁 in the 2011 reboot. He has an awesome theme song, and I even heard it on Thundercats Roar when Ratalo 🐀 and The Mutants attacked The Berbil carnival 🎡🎢 with the Sword Of Plundarr, and wanted to avenge Panthro when he was attacked but couldn't get up due to being too full from eating too much at the carnival!!!
As an adult i consider myself to be extremely honest, fair and have a very strong moral compass. And I honestly put these attributes down characters such as tygra, panthro, and optimus prime. There was always a moral lesson to be learned somewere...
I just want to say how incredibly happy it makes me that you have all the music from this show available to everyone. This is my all-time favorite cartoon and I sing (or rather hum I guess) the themes for each character on a daily basis. I’ve been trying to get the music from this for a very long time so thank you for making that happen.
Tygra was a bad-ass, BETTER than Liono. His attitude, nobility, selflessness and creativity matched with his awesome array of skills and utterly humble attitude make him that epic guy. Liono wouldn't be JACK without Tygra. An advisor, second-in-command and wearing better CLOTHES as well, he was that number 2 guy that Number 1 wouldn't get anywhere without. TYGRA RULES!
2199 I grew up in the late 80s when this show was still going uninterrupted and Tygra has always been my favorite Thundercat Feline other than Panthro.
The wonderful Tygra a Thundercat that can disappear like a magician and uses a whip with three balls that can knock any and rope around any opponent!!! Long live the Thundercats my childhood heros!!
Tygra é meu thundercat favorito. Discreto e misterioso. Sólido e gentil. E é o mais lindo. Sua roupa é cheia de detalhes. Sua arma é super interessante e inventiva. E tem a música tema mais elaborada e forte.
these characters were inspirational, they thought good things throughout my childhood. Why do I feel that tygra is such a manly handsome man? though its just a cartoon character.
I don't think I've remembered hearing this theme in the series... I do like 80s scores though because they incorporated traditional instrumentation with some of the synthesizers. Too bad we don't have this kind of music today
First big moment for me was in Episode 4, they play all the thundercats theme songs.. Cheetarah's when she fights jackalman, Tygra and Monkian and finally Panthro with Slithe. One of my fave episodes when I was a kid for the tygra monkian scene.
Its" A Real Fitting Theme Tygra Was Kind Of Like A Magician. There was A Tv-Series In The 1970s" Titled The Magician! Bill Bixby Played The Title-Role. Too Bad BB Never Supplied His Voice For A Character In A Thundercats! Episode Can You Hear Him Now Bantering With Tygra?.
Innovation, energy, creativity, imagination, dedication, illumination. Always at the forefront of the latest amazing discovery that boggles even the very minds of legend. Always moving forward, looking back only to learn, there is no problem without a solution to a man whose mind is of a depth unfathomable. Plans within plans within plans, his true machinations remain unknown even to his colleagues. Always the captor, never the captive, he was victorious before the battle had begun, for to dare to attempt to engage his mind is to engage only one's own failure.
As I grew older watching Thundercats it occurred to me, the Thundarians were really merciful to the mutants being they knew their planet was destroyed by them. I feel like Tygra, Panthro, and Cheetara would've left one night and killed all the mutants before Liono could screw it up. Just my opinion.
