Wow, I thought the Kroger was going to be the winner. I'm not a fan of Chef Boyardee any more. Seems like they changed their recipes since I was a kid. Thanks for the review.
They have changed the recipe depending on when you was a "kid". Occasionally they offer the original recipe. Throwback recipe..... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-k-nx7SY2WXo.html
I totally agree the recipe has changed. I've never had a Kroger can. But if you're not putting a slice of Sargentos harvarti cheese in your chef boyardee then you're missing out.
I'll be honest I had chef boyardee for a very longtime and I will have my bias towards that. I just never had Kroger and plus you gotta respect the history of chef boyardee.
Chef boy RD is my child hood and I’m 34 now. Still eat it straight from the can from This day. I like it hot though so I pour it from the can into a microwave safe cup and warm it up and then pour it all back into the original can and eat from it. Plus some reason playing red dead redemption makes me want to eat it from the can even more. Still a great price regardless the dumb inflations
Back in the Military service in the 1970's in Germany; we had "Hot food machines in the break room" Chef Boyardee products were Always the first food items to be gone, before the next day. Back then was 0.35 cents a can. And if you were hungry could not be beat! 👍
i eat chef boyardee everyday. the spaghetti and meatballs went down hill ever since they added chicken meat to the meatballs. nowadays i throw the meatballs away and just eat the spaghetti. i find most of the time the spaghetti and meatballs is thicker than the ravioli and beeferoni which is mostly watery. there's no such thing as kroger in florida where i live. i noticed the kroger meatballs you are showing in the ingredients does not have chicken meat.
Ive always wondered how they could sell these for a dollar ( or under) and make a profit...Most times you can find the Chef Boyarder for a buck....Generic brands usually at 70-89cents.
