Plus then it gives a constant so we know where they're at. Like they say they make Italian food but they're taste testing Americanized versions of sauces? I'll agree most of these aren't great, but price point matters as well. The things they cook I'm sure are a lot more expensive.

Without a blind taste-test, this can easily be classified as a commercial for more expensive pasta sauces.
@mykki.d
@mykki.d 6 месяцев назад
I disagree. They are more expensive because they source better and fresher ingredients. The cheaper sauces are using pastes, purees, dried herbs, acid & sugar to add/mask flavor. The more expensive ones use better tomatoes so they don’t have to do all that. Costs more but sooo much tastier.
@chrisjenkins9978

@@mykki.d - If it’s not blind, it’s not accurate. I’ve seen plenty of taste-test fool the experts when they couldn’t see the label. That’s not to say that cheap is better or on par with the more expensive sauces but, there are plenty of expensive sauces that are over priced.

Since I didn’t purchase it, I was a little curious about how much it cost. While doing a beer-run at the corner liquor store, during a party, I saw the same bottle displayed behind the counter. I grew up with Ragu (the brand in the video, not the style of sauce) and I still love it.

I’ll try the Mutti as this is further confirmation of its quality, but nothing beats a homemade sauce eveytime. As the woman in the middle said, “no more than 4-5 ingredients.” Simplicity always wins.

I used Mutti passata to make homemade sauce and it was wonderful.

Mutti is the only brand of tomato sauce presented in the video that is actually sold in italian stores. Usually it's only tomato and salt as ingridients

All the sauces are ok especially when you add your own ingredients that you like to use, the sauces are just the base to each his own bring in your own flavor

As they said, might as well make your own sauce if you have to doctor up one you bought.

My husband always judges me because Ragu is my favorite- but I hate tomato chunks in my sauce! And I want salty, not sweet. I guess I’m just weird. 😂
