It's happening because there is declining market for the recyclables, like China is no longer taking ours for example. My town is the same.
@seileach67
@seileach67 4 года назад
Not only the declining market for recyclables as Deborah Miness mentions, but in my town some years back, the grocery stores and the bottlers banded together to push for a repeal of the can deposit ordinance because according to them the cans collected in their stores drew bugs and the small money paid out encouraged homeless people to stay in our town and get income that way instead of moving on elsewhere. In the years since repeal, the numbers of homeless folks in our town have not noticeably declined, so that didn't work. Also, news flash: the grocery stores still get bugs, from all the boxes, produce, sugar, etc.

He was almost done tossing the batch when his wife decided to join him with an evening cookie. She realized her mistake and asked why the hell he was eating them. He showed her where he had been throwing them away one at a time LOL she threw the rest out that night and made a new batch. That was a lie from love.

All my life we lived in a house that had one large oven, but then we moved to one that had the two smaller ovens on top of each other that forced me to buy two smaller turkeys. I was able to control the cooking procedure and finally cooked the perfect turkey. Today I don't touch turkey anymore, instead I buy a roast chicken at my grocery store. I make a Chicken, Mushroom, Barley soup that's to die for. Thank you Jose and Co. and Stephen and Co. for making your sisters and brothers aware of Global Hunger and how alleviate it.

Where I used to work, we had 'crock pot luck' for holidays. This is because our one attempt at a standard 'pot luck' resulted in 20 dishes that needed an oven when the one we had was full of the huge pork roast the boss (a trained chef) was cooking. Da boss then declared his oven off limits for office parties. After that, pretty much everyone in the office (except for the lazy soda and salad peeps) had their own crock pot creation bubbling away on their desk on 'pot luck' days, and the results were always amazing. There's nothing like challenging a good cook with a lack of oven space to get them to bring it 😁

What a wonderful human being! Also, you can, in fact, have a juicy turkey. Just use a smaller bird, and cook it in a slow cooker. (I think a dutch oven can achieve the same results, but I know for sure that a slow cooker works well, if you don't need a huge bird.) You don't even need to worry about adding any liquid or basting or anything; just rub the turkey with whatever spices you want, and throw it in for a few hours on top of some chopped veggies.
