Peter Cech is criminally underrated Goalkeeper. If he was playing for Spain, Italy or Germany he would have won a World Cup too.He is one of all time top 5 goalkeepers.
@@korindoseng4953 i mean those 3 are the big 3 goalkeeper in this generation (2005-2010s) so it's actually pretty great achievement. From a country that not a strong country. Imagine Lloris, Emi or Marcos not better than Cech but can won the world cup because came from strong country.
This is my favorite Champions League ever. The knockout rounds were special and this final was an instant classic. This Chelsea team was all heart, you could see how much Chelsea's aging core wanted to win the big one after so many years of failure. Cole, Lampard, Terry, and Drogba deserved this.
I can't understand how you can call that title deserved after that game, Bayern dominated them, Chelsea was playing just to survive all game and just got lucky as it happens sometimes. This 2012 Bayern troop was such a legendary team, they should've won their finale dahoam
Truly one of the greatest days for a Chelsea fan. That Champions league run was something special Coming back off a 4-1 deficit at home against Napoli with a new coach for the second leg Holding off Barca as a 10 men team without Terry and Cahill Petr Cech showing why he was the best in the world at that time in the finals That team was special
I hate it how Neuer is called Penalty Specialist when Petr Cech gave a perfect performance saving that Robben Penalty and then Diving at the correct spot for almost all Bayern Players' shootout and Neuer didn't even do that and still he was hailed the Penalty Specialist.
Aakash Mahadevan Neuer got praised because in UCL semifinal he stopped Cristiano's and Kaka's penalty in shootout, two of them were regarded as prolific penalty takers in their generation
It was actually the genius of Drogba as you see Neuer goes off the 3 steps of the player and he can tell where it’s going off that and Drogba only took two steps.
T B if you look at penalties saved by Neuer the players always take 3 steps or more. Drogba took 2 too confuse Neuers Tactic of going by the last 3 steps.
No such thing as destiny. Just a game where one team overall was better, but lost because the best striker on the field scored and one of the best keepers in the world played well. And Mikel... That’s all. Destiny. Give me a break. As annoying as professional sports people thanking God for their victories, as if a deity that created the universe would take sides in human sports games. Pathetic to the extreme. It was an amazing moment and I was over the moon happy for Cech and Drogba in particular. Magical night unless you are a Bayern fan. But destiny?? Please.
Its DESTINY. Just look at Drogba history starting with the lost final with OM, 2008 final against MU when he got a red card and Terry had to shot the 5th penalty Drogba would have taken, 2009 disgrace against Barca that would have led to a revenge match against MU, Drogba's goal on Stanford Bridge against Barca, the siege they had to endure on Camp Nou that would not have been possible without his goal in the first leg. Which brings us to this game: Drogba scored in the last minute on his last match, he then comited a foul and a penalty almost getting a red card like in 2008 but not this time, the penalty is saved. Finally Drogba gets the last penalty to close the circle. Everything on his hands. He scores. He thanks God. Why? Because he knows it was DESTINY. On that day he could not lose. There is no other way to explain it. Just....DESTINY.
I sill can't believe Bayern didn't win this match but that's the agony of football for you. What a clutch goal by Drogba. One of my favorite strikers of all time. Bayern won the next year though in the all German final at Wembley of all places.
Just deeped that Chelsea was established in the year 1905 and on the 19th of May, aka 19.05, Chelsea has won 🏆2007 FA Cup Final 🏆2012 Champions League Final 🏆2018 FA Cup Final Chelsea’s day 👊🏼
He was one of the heroes. How could he have blocked that penalty if Drogba hadn't scored in the last minute? He conceded this goal and Drogba saved it. They saved each other.
The only team that was capable of defeating this monster of an offensive team was a team that could defend well like this Chelsea ball club ! What a match for the ages!
This was my first ever game i saw, this is thé match i fell in love with football, i Remember Bayern had so much corners and Chelsea first corner Drogba with thé header, and cehch wath a night from him
After the match when everyone is celebrating there's a moment where Terry and Lampard come to Drogba and the 3 of them just hug and cry for like 3 minutes straight, just those 3 after everything they've been through, the 3 oldest and best members of Chelsea, sharing that moment together of the club's first Champions League EVER that will be talked about long after their gone and signifying the end of this Chelsea team and that Legendary old guard trio... one of my favorite moments in football honestly.
As a chelsea fan, I came back for the memories in this unforgettable night at the Allianz after hearing the tragic news about the European super league.
Entah sudah berapa puluh kali saya nonton final ini Dimana saya mulai jadi pendukung Chelsea sejak zaman tore Andre Flo dan Zola Akhirnya bisa menyaksikan tim kebanggaanku meraih liga Champions

Still watching it in 2021! I cried like a little girl after this game :')) And with all due respect to Droba, Cech was my MoM! He guessed all 5 penalties correctly in that game, I have never seen such a thing from any keeper till now.... Hope we can lift it again this year!
