Your channel knocks out all the others!! Man you always do the best reviews, especially polisher reviews!!!! No other channel does this, the other ones just push the brand🤑
I have one. The first one broke after a few uses. They replaced it under warranty I will say their customer service is great. My second one feels like it's out of balance, I never use it. I wouldn't buy another one of their products again. But that was just my experience
I have a Griots Garage 15mm polisher and I hate it. It stalls out all the time even on flat panels. I might have to get one of these. I have the 21mm Torq and I love that machine. No issues with that at all.
I bought the MaxShine 15mm earlier this year. For the most part, I like it. However, even with the washer that is included to do the "mod", it still will not spin freely, and it stalls often. I ordered a thicker washer that I hope fits and will solve this problem. Why manufactures allow this, I don't know....I'm just an amateur.
@@mattmerwin3842 Damn. Oh well. If I get another machine, the gear driven Flex 3401 looks powerful. I'd want to keep using the pads I already have, though.
I have a 10fx with over 120hrs of use with zero issues. Got the 15da and within 30hr of correction the bearing went out and the backing plate started to have a crazy vibration. Tore it apart and the bearing inside came apart. Bought a second one because I needed to finish some work and within 25hrs of correction same thing happened. Having a one year warranty means you have to send in your machine and wait over a month to get it back. Absolute bs when you spent $500 on 2 machines within 8 months of each other and have cars to get done. And no I didn't drop it or use it incorrectly and damage it myself.
Hey Andrew. I also had an issue with the 15da. Polisher had been used for 2 corrections prior before the backing plate flew off, fortunately not hitting the vehicle. Allen bolt was still secure in the threaded piece that is attached to the drive mechanism. Took it back and was told they had seen only one other unit that this happened to. Replaced the polisher with a new Torx 15da and has working good so far. Thinking this might happen again i purchased a Maxshine 15da as a backup unit.
@@deregulationIC Pretty sure you see him using the 21mm not the 15mm. Want a good look at the maxshine 15? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Sh1a8-ilpxo.html
@@apexdetail85 Brian which would you advise on using. I like the max shine 15 mm pro series 2. Tossed between this machine and the torq 15 mm long throw. You're a pro . I'm a rookie looking for advice. I'm leaning towards the max shine pro series 2 15 mm
Hello Brian: I know this is an older video. I have a couple of questions for you. I am looking at a 15mm Random Orbital polisher. I dont mind spending a little more for a well built. powerful yet one with great balance, and less Vibtation. Could you please recommend some polishers for me please? Thank you!
What RPM should we go with when cutting and polishing? I know for other polishers people like using 5-6 speed but what would that be on these with the RPM numbers instead?
Thank you very much Brian! I normally do my do diligence? But when you say it's a very impressive! There is no need! I've learned so very much about detailing and trying to my very best! Thank you So very much for your incredible knowledge and experiences!
Good tip on changing and repacking the grease. I have the same polisher and gonna do that to mine now. Side note I’d like to get your take on the Torq R the rotary unit they have. Been thinking about getting that to add to my current 15mm
Anyone knows how to get a Chemical guy rep on the phone to get my Torq15 repaired???????? 3 emails and 2 calls on hold for an hour and I am still unable to get help
I'm going to be doing some polishing the odd time at a dealership, what model do you recommend? Thinking of doing a quick wool pad cut and then use an "all in one" for a final shine.
Would you rather have this or the rupes mk3? Money aside. I used to have the 10fx. Loved it. Used my rupes. Maybe I need to get used to it but not really sure I like it
Nice video and surprise surprise Chemical Guys makes quality products from time to time. Chemical Guys have amazing marketing and distribution if they ever get serious about pricing for professionals!
Very in depth video, right on. Now I'm strictly a weekend warrior and I like to do a good job but I'm only ever doing 1 vehicle so I don't get oodles of experience, nor does my gear take a lot of abuse. Do I really need to replace the grease in this thing if I were to get one? And/or is it easy enough to do that I should just do it regardless?
great video and product review good friend. pretty solid polisher.still have my 10fx and 22long throw. just wish it had little more power.bag is awesome idea little pricy 4 me anyways.b well good friend thanks again
I have been using the 15DA for two year and it's been great. Not crazy about the small speed buttons and the digital readout though. I also have a Maxshine M8 Pro which has also been awesome. Both have their pros and cons.
I like it seems very smooth. I've come to like the smoother running machines. I have a Flex XFE machine and I'm really enjoying it even tho ppl say you can't compound with it I find with the Urofiber 50/50 I get a lot of work done. Still this looks nice.
It is effective enough. I personally wouldnt take an electric polisher from Rupes if given to me. Over glorified, priced paper weight. My 15 and 21 broke down during the busiest season for me. I do however like my LHR 75 pneumatic
@@apexdetail85 I have the 15 & 21 mark ii, both collect dust. My main is the Flex 3401, currently have 2 of them. 1 for 5" and 1 for 6". I like Flex so much I also have the PE14, PE8 and PXE80
Hey Bryan!! I followed your steps and I removed the factory grease and replaced it with Lucas Red N’ Tacky. Now I feel it hotter than before when I am polishing. Did I do something wrong? What could possibly be happening?
This is another subject but I am seeing more matte finish paint on cars I interested on how you polish and protect them? Since most product are about gloss enhancement a matte finish probably present other issues.
Thanks Brian! I'd love to buy a new polisher but for me I'd use it a couple times a year for my own car and can't really afford one tbh. Do you have any used ones to sell? A unit that you may want to retire perhaps. It would be my first polisher. Thanks.
RoRuffRyder Hey RuffRyder. I own both polishers and they seem comparable with similar stalling issues. Higher speeds with angled pad position helps somewhat.
@@apexdetail85 thanks allot, y fallowed your advice and y'm trying to stay away from media...😁😂 You inspired me one year ago, and now y have my own shop..😀 In one week I'm going in to business... Thanks Brian!
@@apexdetail85 I know the company this guy is talking about, they're a white-labelled Chinese line of polishers. Absolutely nothing you've not seen before. I know you like to angle the value-oriented and beginner detailer segment but it would be good to see some teardowns of professional polishers like Flex and Rupes. Even if it is just to compare the difference in quality of cheaper equipment.
