Since the release of this video, it has been confirmed by dataminers of the game that the grenade plans have a 0.058% chance or dropping from the Ash Heap events mentioned in the video, but not as an option from explosive crates. Other plans can come from crates, but not the plasma.

I was one of the lucky ones who got it from an Ash Heap drop. Didn't realize how rare it was until I started seeing all the offers (but only AFTER I had already learned the plan). I think it was doing Lode Baring the very first time.

I had someone drop like 20 plasma grenade plans. Probably duped but i sold for basically nothing to get them out to players and im glad i did. Clearly useful.

Hey Scouts! Quick update on some of the info in this video. It was brought to my attention on r/fo76 that is possible to do Battle Bot without the speed demon mutation, I just hadn't had much luck. You gotta time to card swipes just right, and being in third person helps a lot. Also, if you've picked up the keys, you don't have to pick them up again, just swipe and hit master shutdown. The Handy's will break at that point. Good luck!

I just wanted to begin by saying Thank you a thousand times for the Awesome and Informative videos you put out. I myself am currently looking for the Plasma grenade recipe, and have been doing Battle Bot events too many to count it seems. You mentioned that you need a speed booster to be able to trigger both card slot locations within the 3 second timer. I am here to simply confirm that you Do NOT need this Boost, you just have to be out of your Power Armor, and not overweight, as you will want to be able to sprint down the straight portion of running around the building. I have always used this tactic, there is no time to spare once you hit the 1st card reader, Run Forest, RUNNNNN! I hope this helps, and thankyou again for providing such kickass videos!

@@studentintnauwies5514 Nah not yet still working at it. I heard a rumor that there is a chance for it to spawn in a container in Glass Cave/Cavern but still have not seen it yet. Gonna keep hunting for it though, I need to if I want to complete that particular challenge list.

Ya, I'm driving myself crazy trying to get the Plasma Grenade Plan. 2 months straight, trying for at least an hour almost every day. Ran Battle Bots well over 400X now, Breach and Clear at least 100x, searching vendors every day... Man, that 0.058% drop rate is BRUTAL!!!! LOL

I came back to the game after 4 yrs. I had the plan on my first character and got from an Event. Trying to get that and Yao Gau Roast recipe. The WS vendor no longer has the roast plan. So much harder for returning players after the TV show. Thank you for the video

I needed two more badges with the last 3 impossible to finish without killer luck possum badge quests left. Spent a full weekend constantly server hopping to either find the robot armor plans, plasma grenade plans, or badge drop from the campfire event. Zero luck with plans. Got both badges from the campfire event. I was happy to tell the plans to eff off.

I just discovered your channel. Good stuff! I'm the plasma grenade short of all Possum challenges. I was beginning to think it was a myth. After 3 years and 2500 hours, still no plasma grenade plan. I always check player vendors and 1 guy had the plan for max 40,000 caps. Couldn't afford it! 😂

I have personally solo'd battle bot 50 times, without the need for speed demon mutation. (you just spam the activate on one side then run the other from the back without going around the long way) little practice and you get the hang of it. helps to have surplus cards too instead of having to kill the robots then run out and do it, might be a server lag thing.

That Plasma grenade plan....it's so elusive and it eludes me to this day(and yes I'm slowly but surely getting my sanity cracked trying to farm it out). But now that I see you can server hop to get a Battle bot event to trigger....you've given me some hope to find.(plus I LOVE plasma grenades, been my go-to ones since Fo3). Here's to hoping I find them like you one day! Also added bonus info fact, even though hard bargain/grape mentats helps with getting a serum recipe, a maxed out Party Boy/girl perk helps with charisma when you drink a beer, just a fun little tid bit. Still, you've given me hope on the Plasma grenade plan to drop.

Great video! Only thing I have an issue with is finding the explosive creates from the map as it dosnt show where they are exactly just the vague area.

As of patch 19, bottles and baseballs are no longer used, nor protected scrap. You just need glass and cork(2 per I believe). Also, the plasma grenade plans have been added to the X-mas scorched and Treasure Hunter events.

Thank you for your efforts. I too, have said things that my cat found offensive, and oddly approved of. But also, it should be made clear that getting that badge is just a little south of achieving the 7600 hours in game. You can't reasonably grind for it unless Todd Almighty smiles upon you and you find it.

LV 3 EXPLOSIVE CRATE IS LOCATED IN PROJECT PARADISE. Go to the Area A were the stags would spawn, make a sharp right were the ramp is, and go throught the door as if u were going to Area B, and ull see a giant elevator cage is. Its inside the cage.

today i randomly found the plasma grenade plan in my inventory, I guess I got it from an event in the ash heap but cant be sure. i think now got all plans except some for gold bullion and some powerarmour ones from vendors

I finally got the plan last night. I didn't keep track but it felt like I did Battle Bot around 200 times. I did Lode Baring once and Breach and Clear a handful of times.

I’ve seen multiple sources say that the 4 ash heap events listed are the only way to get the plasma grenade plans. Apparently, they have a less then 1 percent chance of dropping. I still haven’t gotten them yet, but I’ll keep looking until I drop dead of thirst or a scorchbeast picks up my corpse and takes it away.

I am one lucky SOAB, usually running with over 20. Unfortunately your luck stats don't affect the drop rate of the plans. I wish it did.

Another tip that wasn't said for buying serums. Grape mentats, bargain perk, AND Irradiating yourself and using full Unyielding. Most people are bloodied builds, but not everyone runs it. EDIT: I was meaning the unyielding armor part, grape Mentats and Bargain perk were mentioned in the video.

I've been farming the Battle Bots event but am getting an extremely irritating bug where the keyspads are not reacting even after I loot the keycards. This is happening 2/3 of the time and I can't figure out what the issue is... Anyone else?

Hi wickedy, I've always found your videos super helpful, but I'm struggling with the hallucigen gas grenade, I can't craft them on tinkers bench, but can't find any info on where to farm plans for it. Any tips?

I'll help the best I can. The plans are not a found plan like with the other grenades, it is known once you get your first canister, or scrap a canister. I'm not sure which method unlocks the grenade, so I'd try scrapping one just in case. The grenades can not be crafted with the ruptured canisters, only ones that are intact too. Also, try the chemistry station not the tinker's station. These grenades are categorized just a little differently as there are chemicals involved.

Plasma grenade plans are like the calibrated shocks for ultracite. Every other ultracite plan is so abundant, they aren't even worth trying to sell. IMO not even worth trying for. I need 2 more possum badges, with 3 more possum badge quests left, but not happening on either. One is chemist. The other is robot which I've hunted for plans and can't get. Last is the collection. These last 3 are pretty much a pure luck thing.

another note is plasma grenade plan does drop from the story quest with overseer, but repeating it on PC (as well as battle bot, lode bearing, the rockhoud repeatable, etc... has had no luck, and no luck in boxes) agreed if they are going to make a requirment like this... they need to make sure it's doable in a reasonable amount of time, not RNG loot to RNG reward to chance complete. I don't think they look at them to think about function, just paperwork of "yeah looks good, throw it in" also note still grinding ashheap for plasma grenade on pc.. even offering 6000 caps for it but no one seems to have it. seems way too low drop rate. Been at this since the scouts started (day 2 of it) and.. gotta say.. hate this place now. All the events have garbage drops, drop rates, and "not worth it" feel
