This is one of my favorite Travelouge episodes. I really want to visit Chengde! Zhui is still my all time favorite!!!

This commentator has it all. Pleasing to watch, well spoken with excellent diction and elocution. If she could get rid of the Australian accent she would be superb. Try to adopt a mid Atlantic accent as personified by Walter Cronkite, Eric Severaid and latterly Dan Rather.

@Han Kin Still prefer the mid Atlantic accent which is not pretentious at all. But noted, I found her very charming as well. Sorry don't care for the Australian accent, not even a tinge of it.

It's always a delightful feel to watch Travelogue clips. above all the natural and architect marvels is Zhui Lee's charming way of presenting and narrating the underlying background stories. 🤗💗😂

The Kangxi emperor had such great foresight when building this resort city mainly for rest and gaming.No doubt that it was done esthetically.All chinese should be proud of China today as it continue to rise beyond expectation

I grew up there in my very early years and remember my grandparents taking me to the mountain resort. There used to be a small zoo. Lots of retired people doing choreographed dances early in the morning, and others playing traditional instruments. My uncle taught a tai chi class there on weekends until he threw his back out.

You cannot just throw big words around unless they ARE 100% precise at what you are trying to explain, just to sound "cool". Veracity. You don't have to embellish. The rest of the material is good enough.

I like Travelogue but I definitely do not like the squeaky voice and quirky hand movements of the presenter.

I spent a day in Chengde in 2007 and loved it. This tour has taken me places I mostly didn't see. How enchanting! A gorgeous , happy visit, thank you!
