Chennai Budget Hotels | Best Budget Hotels In Chennai | Location, cost, amenities & Complete Details 

In my videos also some of the basic hotels which I have mentioned, will not have much amenities, but for budget travellers (who are not much concerned about the aesthetics & amenities) for them these options will be a perfect deal.. @@TravelYatraVlog the hotel was in style of lowest budget where the roof itself was made up of tin shade but thankfully it was air conditioned. The small room cost 1200/- for 8 hours just because it was beside MGR station. If you have any information about good hotels or Guest House near Sankara Nethralaya, Old No 18, College Rd, Nungambakkam. I can spend ₹1500 for hotels/guest house for single day. Hello Nitin, Sankar Netralaya is almost in the Nungambakkam area, which is a bit posh locality. So unfortunately there is no budget hotel nearby. The minimum average hotel price for staying in this area will be at least around 2k per night for a couple. So alternatively you can stay in "Greams Road" area (near Apollo hospital) where you can get many budget hotels. Or the second option is to stay near Egmore. From Egmore the hospital is hardly at 2 km distance and plenty of buses and sharing vans are available from Egmore to Sankar Netralaya. Hope this idea will help you. Thank you once again Nitin 😊👍🏼

Yes, that's true... In Chennai auto rikshaw hardly put the meter (unlike in Mumbai). So sometimes an online cab will be cheaper than a auto😆🤫 And metro is the best option for those spots in Chennai where you have metro connectivity. Thank you 😊👍🏼

Hi Jayant, If you are not concerned about amenities and other features for your stay, then it's better to go for dormitory beds in hostels in every place. For Egmore I have mentioned a few places in this video itself, which are under 500 range. So you can check that. And for Madurai and all other locations, you can search in booking (dot) com or just search for some small hotels near the bus stand or railway station (which are generally not available on any online websites). So you can go there directly and get a bed for 300 to 400 rupees. Or at every place if you are travelling by train then by using your train PNR you can book accommodation in the railway station also via irctc website (if available). These irctc rooms are generally very cheap (in some locations it will cost you just 100 to 200 rupees per night) Thank you 😊👍🏼

Well, there are few ways to tackle this.. 1. Some hotel booking sites gives you an option for early check-in with additional cost or no cost. We do that. 2. Some hotels have normal check-in as well as hourly check-in options. There sometime we give a normal booking and an another hourly booking (on the same day) for three to four hours in the first half. 3. In some hotel I use to call them after booking and request them to keep a room for us for early check-in. Sometimes they provide it for free or sometimes on a chargeable basis. 4. In some cities if there are some nearby small places to visit (a zoo, or museum or park or some monument), then we use to keep the luggage in reception and use their common washroom for slight freshen-up and explore just any one nearby sightseeing place in the first half itself. 5. Some resorts have good beaches or swimming pools or attached private falls or so..., Then we sometimes spend time there or go to the pool. 6. Sometime we try to emotionally conveience then by saying that we have a small kid with us, so please try to do something 😂😂 So that's how we manage if we have an early arrival and hotel check-in is at afternoon time.. Ok Suresh, For your case you can stay near triplicane... It will be near to beach, centre location, near to govt. Estate metro as well as you can board your morning pondicherry day Tour bus from there easily. (One thing I want to mention is that paying around 2000 per person and goin to Pondy just for a day in the bus tour and seeing just two to three places quickly will not be worth it) So just think of it once again. Ekadam airport ke pass mein to Budget hotel Milna thoda mushkil hai.. But the area I told you in this video near the airport is Pallavaram. So you can choose your stay in that area. It's just hardly 1 to 2 km from airport. And at late night also you will get many light buses in this route. So you can comfortably reach the hotel even if you arrive late at night. Thank you 😊👍🏼

Hello Mukhtar ji, There are many Apollos all over Chennai. So you can specify your location. But the main one 8a Greams road branch, which is commonly known to 90% of outsiders. So around Greams road branch there are plenty of budget hotels. You don't even need to prebook these hotels online. I will mention some budget hotels in that area as follows:- 1. Royal Residency 2. Pearl Guest House 3. Raju guest house So if you go in the above areas, you will find only hotels, restaurants and stay options in every building. Yes Manish/Nikhil, both are the same. Mgr central mainly called the first 11 platforms where mail and express trains arrive and depart. And then there is a small separation after which there are 4 more platforms which is called Chennai Suburban station, from where you get only local trains to Tirutanni, Arakkonam, GPD and SPE routes... For Pondicherry best and cheapest option is to take TNSTC bus no. 188 from CMBT or Guindy or Trivanmyur. It will take 3 to 4 hours and the ticket cost will be within 200 rupees. Hi Sanjay, Shankar netralaya is almost in Nungambakkam which is typically one of the posh area of Chennai. So generally it's difficult to find a budget hotel there. So for you the better option is to take a hotel near the Egmore area which will be a comparatively cheaper option and from Egmore you will get plenty of buses (bus number 17), which goes directly to Shankar netralaya and it takes hardly 10 to 15 minutes by bus to reach the hospital from Egmore. Central k pass Samudra residency wala option thik hai for couples as well as family in budgeted category. (Aur waise baki sab bhi thik hai. You will not face any issue as a couple with valid ID proof, in any of the mentioned hotels) Thank you 😊👍

If your plan is to just stay for few hours then I will not suggest to stay in Nungambakkam. In such a case the best option is to take a metro and go to (CMBT) and stay in the AC dormitory that I suggested in this video (if you area a male traveller or in a group of boys). Because in Nungambakkam any hotel will not be less than 1000 to 1500 rupees for even a half day of stay. Thank you 😊👍

Hi Manjusha, if you just want to freshen up and don't want to take rest or don't want to take a nap, then I will suggest that there are very good washrooms inside the airport itself (before the exit gate) so you can utilise those (free of cost). Or if you are out of airport, then there is a huge and famous newly opened mall "Aero hub". So you can go there also to use the wash areas of the mall, which are really very spacious, ultra modern and very lavish too (and it's obviously free of cost). Or you can go to airport Metro, there also you can use the wash areas and freshen up properly without any problem(it's free too). Or else just search for "SBM toilet" in Google for pay and use options in outer areas of the airport. (In all the above places, you can somehow keep your luggages also at the corner, if you are travelling solo) Or if you need a room, then you have to go for booking it as I mentioned in the video. Yes easily you can visit mahabalipuram while returning from pondicherry. Just take a TNSTC bus for Chennai and get down at mahabalipuram ECR bus stop. And from there you can easily explore the entire mahabalipuram in just 4 to 5 hours. And then in the evening after exploring everything again board an another TNSTC bus from ECR Mahabalipuram bus stop, which goes towards Chennai. Thank you 😊👍🏼

Every hotel doesn't accept unmarried couple entries, but there are certain hotels which are couple friendly and accept the same. So at the time of booking you can check the rules of that particular hotel mentioned in the hotel booking website and then proceed further to book the same. Thank you 😊👍🏼

Proper id proof hona chahiye aap dono k pass.. and then legally to koi apko kuch nahi bol sakta hai agar aap dono 18+ ho.. (But fir bhi kahi kahi par aana kaani karte hai) Isliye booking k waqt ye dekhkar hotel book karna ki wo hotel couple friendly hai ki nahi, and if possible hotel k number mein ek bar call karke puch lena booking se pehle.
