I LOVE this song. She looked amazing in this video. It was filmed on the Battleship USS Missouri and she performed for the crew. She basically wore a fishnet bodystocking under a swimming costume. That was the costume. So Cher. Originally MTV banned the video as it was too provocative. hahahahaha. They refilmed certain parts of it to make it less sexual. Apparently The Navy did not know she was going to wear that outfit and when they started filming they tried to get her to change as they were worried about getting criticism. She refused and went ahead in that outfit. I think The Captain of the ship got into trouble for allowing a video of that nature to take place!. Hysterical. I wanted to be her so badly when I saw the video for the first time. She looks so good.

You'd be right boys this is late 80s. I LOVED this song as a kid and still do. And yes that is a real Navy ship and those are real seaman. FYI, that ship, the USS Missouri, is the same ship that Japan surrendered on at the end of WWII when the treaty was signed, so it has historical influence. Cher's attire unfortunately caused a controversy and a lot of WWII vets were not happy with what Cher wore. The outfit was a complete surprise too to the sailors for Cher was suppose to wear something more conservative for the performance.
