It's nice to see someone do gold art gilt. I've had that idea myself, for Bibles that don't have any art gilt, just regular gilding. That way, the color won't fade over time as much if you use the archival ink. It'll be gold even if the regular gilt is scratched up.
I have done gold ink under gold on my waterbuffalo CBP and made a vid if you want to see a gold that is exactly the same as the gilding, if you're interested incase you want to know what colour I used.
Thanks for sharing Tim. I continue to be blessed by your content. Dave and the whole Cherry Hill Bibles family are great! They're kind, humble & gracious. I believe Emma Brohard of Buckeye Bible Rebinding credits, or blames 😂, Dave for getting her started in rebinding. Emma's work is another example of truly incredible artistry.
Love you and the channel. With all respect I was taken aback a bit by your comment about whoever let go of that bible…. It may have been a beloved bible that for some reason had to be let go due to an unfortunate life situation. It could be hurtful if the person were to see the video, perhaps I’m being too sensitive but I believe it’s worth some prayerful thought.
I'm going to be the odd man out and say that I like it just like the way it was. I think what would have been better JMHO though is to take the one of these that's in bonded leather and then have that one redone.
@@timwildsmith My, "The one" Bible was going to be an ESV Large Print Study Bible made over just like the CSB you showed today. Will wait for Cherry Hill & Dave to get caught up and finish their business expansion. Thanks, Tim, for showing this gorgeous CSB!!!
The cover looks great and so do the ribbon colours, but notice that it doesn't lay quite flat when it's opened up like the original bible. I've seen that on other rebinds, as well, that their spines seem to be very tight. I'd be interested what you think, Tim?
Hey Tim, I’m leading a short-term life group for Summer interns and returning college students at our church. One of the girls is a student at Belmont. I was asking if she knew of you, but she didn’t. Are you still on staff there?
