Japanese cars really need to step up their game, bought my Chery Tiggo Pro 8 and it's the best decision

T8Pro for sure by a mile. You have to add 300K para sa Black Series variant matapatan mo lang ang mga features ng T8Pro. Ganunpaman, may mga kulang pa rin sa Black Series tulad ng Blind spot detection, Lane keeping assistance, Adaptive cruise control below 40 KPH, Traffic sign recognition, Rear cross traffic assist, Tire pressure monitoring system, 2nd row seat sliding adjustment, Butterfly headrests, Panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, memory driver seat, cooled storage for drinks, wireless phone charging, sequential turn signal, front passenger seat adjustment center control and remote start/off engine.

I like how aggressive yung pricing ng Chinese brands + after sales support. You can see talaga they are trying to capture the market.. Once they have enough shares for sure magmamahal na din yan unless mag step up yung Japanese brand but I doubt it... I'm excited to see how the philippine car market landscape will look like 5 years from now.. The only branded model that come close to the pricing and safety features is yung Ford territory but then again it is still a Chinese manufactured car w/ the Ford brand on it. Chinese branded phones are already leading the local market and I will not be surprise they will do the same in the car market.. People should stop stereotyping Chinese brands..

You forgot to add that the extended warranty period, free PMS, and free home service consultations and minor repairs of the T8Pro are the best after sales perks in its class. Diesel fuel is also more expensive nowadays compared to gasoline, so it would be more economical to own the T8Pro.

Pag SUV Fortuner, Montero, Everest , Landcruiser. ito lang para sakin ang hinahanap ng mga tao kahit itong mga bagong brands ay mas maraming improvements. Kahit ako mas pipiliin ko talaga yung tumagal na sa eksena.

Kitang kita naman na Tiggo 8 Pro ang panalo… price difference is actually more than 101,000. May additional discount pa si chery plus the free 3 year PMS na kasama na sa binayaran. Only time will tell if the Tiggo 8 Pro will be a reliable car in the long term. Super luxurious yung Tiggo 8 Pro inside and outside… Lahat na ng pwedeng ilagay nila eh andito na sa 1.6 L na variant. Sana kung yung 2.0 and PHEV na variants eh ilagay n rin nila yung mga features from 1.6L para all in na. Im sure na marami ang bibili..

Rear wheel drive is the best… though i would purchase 4x4 montero.

Mitsubishi is getting outdated on tech and safety etc than its competitors. Simple adaptive cruise control is missing. I hope new gens of their cars will be release next year.

Depende sa personal na pangangailangan ng tao to both can accomadate same ammount of passengers 7seaters kung city/highway kalang naman at di umaakyat ng offroad at bundok tiggo 8pro is better specially now halos same na price ng 97ron gas to diesel kaya wla na ung tipid factor ng diesel cars. At mahirap mag maneuver sa city ng mga 4.8M length na suv kadalasan sa mga gnyan puro tama sa tagiliran lalot wlang malasakit ang driver.

As much I love the Chery brand (bought a Tiggo 7 Pro), I don't see myself buying the 8 Pro over the Montero with only a 101k price difference.

I know a lot will say what the hell is Stanley thinking comparing a Chery to a Montero? But guys, if you dont need that major off-road capability, go for the Tiggo 8 pro.. The only thing going for the Montero is its off-road capability and perceived credibility and reliabilty..Other than that, Montero is very basic..

Montero >>>>> Tiggo 8 Pro. 1. Company Background - Remember the QQ? Almost everyone I know considered it as a joke car in the early 2000's. Chery's reputation has been in question for many years. It was only maybe a year or two ago when Chery made a comeback here in the Philippines with its Tiggo line-up. But to those like me that was already into cars during those days, it's hard to shake off the joke reputation of Chery. Meanwhile, Mitsubishi produced iconic cars such as the Montero, Lancer, Pajero, Galant, Evolution, Strada, Eclipse, L300, Mirage...and now Xpander is making waves. In terms of the Brand and Company, it's not even close. This is a huge decision making point kasi dito mo makikita yung quality and reliability ng sasakyan: Sa historical performance. Parang sa pagbili lang ng gamit yan na branded or hindi branded. Muka lang magkamuka sa una, pero mas tumatagal yung branded kahit mas mahal siya. Same logic applies here. Importante na kilala mo sino gumawa ng oto mo. Wag papasilaw agad sa features, alamin nyo muna sino na si Mitsu at sino na ba si Chery. Ito ang step 1 sa pag pili ng oto para sa akin. 2. Engine Refinement - Mitsubishi's MIVEC wins here hands down. I've driven both cars already during test drives. Power gap feels a lot bigger compared to what's on paper. While Chery Tiggo 8 isn't a slouch, but the G force of the acceleration doesn't pull my head back as much as a Montero. Mas malakas hatak ni Montero by a wide margin para sakin. Mas matipid din sa gas kasi 8-gear AT. Mas matulin na, mas matipid pa, what sorcery is that? 3. Ground Clearance - This is a big deal because of flooding and bad roads here in PH. Walang kasayad sayad ka sa Montero. 4. Advantages of Tiggo 8 Pro are not important. Who cares about having Ambient Lighting? Is that even a thing? Lahat nung driver assist functionality are for newbie drivers, such as lane assist? Kung hindi ka marunong pumuwesto sa isang lane eh Magaral ka muna magmaneho. Sorry pero parang mga unnecessary yung mga perks kay Tiggo. Intelligent high beam? Mahirap bang pumindot ng low/high beam? Parang ewan na feature. I won't pay for that. Pang sobrang noob naman yata yan. Traffic Jam Assist? Eh mahirap bang tumapak sa preno habang nakadrive? Muka lang marami ang features si Tiggo, pero d naman importante. Pansin ko yan sa mga Chinese cars hindi lang Chery, dinadaan sa techs na hindi naman importante. 5. Resale Value - Hangang ngayon mataas pa rin value ng mga gen 1 and 2 montero. Old Pajero may value pa. Yung mga Chery old models, mas mahal pa laptop ng anak ko. Resale value is all about perception. 6. Paddle Shifting - You need to experience for yourself ang tuwa pag namaster mo mag paddle-shift sa Montero. Para kang magiging bata ulit na may bagong laruan. 7. Mas Gwapo - Yung Tiggo 8 Pro, I find the grill "ricey", yung maraming bling bling, baduy eh. Pinapatanggal nga yan ng mga mahilig mag upgrade, ginagawang plain lang ang front grills and walang kahit ano dba, pati emblem inaalis nila. Itong Tiggo 8 Pro nilagyan pa talaga nya nung maraming bling bling sa harap. Naalala ko tuloy yung mga tito or tita na mahilig magsuot ng mga alahas lagi. Si Montero, mas matapang yung itsura, lalo na yung 3.5 na malaki yung fog lamps. Gwapogi. 8. Ang only thing na nagustuhan ko kay Tiggo 8 Pro over kay Montero is yung brown leather seats niya. Ganda ng upuan ni Tiggo, yayamanin ang dating. Dapat wag ka magpatint siguro, or light lang, maganda tingnan from outside yung seats. For reasons above, it's almost an insult to even include Tiggo 8 Pro when talking about the Montero, Fortuner, Terra, MUX. Madami pang patutunayan si Tiggo 8 Pro. Unproven product pa siya.
