I worked at Walmart man. It’s an extremely toxic place to work at. Got fired by a manager who was mad at me because a girl he liked, liked me. They were early to mid thirties. I was 19 at the time. I’m 30 now. Let me work a whole shift then fired me at the end. Laughed at me as I walked out the door. Bottom line is, Walmart, for me at least, was a horrible place to work at. From management to the coworkers.

I hate Walmart employees with a passion, they think they can do ANYTHING to customers. I had 2 employees literally punch my car in the parking lot, then walk away laughing. They refused to tell me their names so I went in and told management, they were like yea we'll talk to them about it but I'm sure nothing happened

I worked at Walmart 10 years ago, and am still close with people who still work there. 10 years ago to now, it's still just as toxic. Their pay sucks, and they ask so much of you. They expect you to give them all your time in the busy season, and then just cut your hours to nothing during the slow season. They don't care about their employees, and they expect way to much out of them.

I live and work in this community. Recently, I spent days trying to find in person mental help and I couldn’t find anywhere to take me within a month. One place had a 5 month waiting list. I eventually found consistent virtual therapy through my insurance. I wonder if he had access to help. I don’t know if he would’ve taken it. He is absolutely responsible for his terror. Are we better off having instantaneous access to purchase firearms when we can’t provide a basic health service to our own community?

The media is mostly about entertaining people. Corporate media promulgates lies and isn't interested in truth. If you haven't realized that yet, then you're as brainwashed as the rest of the people who get their news from the corporate media. Why does this country have one or more mass shootings every day, when other countries don't have any at all? The reasons for that aren't difficult to find, but the media doesn't report on them. People in this world need to understand their words matter and you can't keep pushing people to limits and expect them to take it. The way it sounds they were overtly being ignorant towards him and he took it until he couldn't take no more. I don't agree with what he did and don't think that should ever be the answer but walk a mile in someone's shoes and then speak your opinion. I have Never Once heard a pleased story from a Walmart employee. I have heard complaints from Walmart employees that were quite unforgettable. I’ve read articles about the cheap wages, cheap treatment and need for public assistance Walmart employees find themselves in. All the profit goes to the billionaire owners. Wal-mart needs to change their policies in my personal opinion. Nightly meetings in a closed confined space where someone knows people are gonna be is exactly the reason why I quit walmart and wasn't surprised to see something like this happening if the policy is universal. I worked at walmart during the overnight shift for a solid 2 months and got extremely creeped out by one of my coworkers. He came up to me while i was alone stocking an aisle , and he asked me "how would you feel about the saying "death comes through the night"", I dont really give an answer , but more so a confused and focused on my work kindof look. Anyways, he also before this told me and other employees about how he cant wait until his grandmother is dead and how he was abused as a child by her , red flags for me. I remember after he came up to me in the aisle I decided at that point i wanted to be away from him in a different department and explained all the things he had said to me to my manager (another coworker also filled out a report about him saying weird things too). They then brought him in after moving me departments and proceeded to ask him about what he had told me. Maybe its my anxiety that got the best of me but this same guy would talk about suicide and cutting himself and how the world is against him. I felt vulnerable with the circumstances of being lined up in a hallway or in a break room EVERY NIGHT, while also knowing a guy so close having morbid thoughts about death and harm. I left. Filed a police report and never looked back. Some may called me scared for leaving but a fist wont go faster than a bullet.

The Virginia Tech massacre guy waited his time limit and all his guns were legally purchased then he went on a smoked 27 people. We need leadership, we need better mental health resources, we need to Walmart to care more about their associates because my store personally is suffering, and literally not a soul cares here, it's so heartbreaking. We had a previous associate commit suicide okay. It's not a joke, we spend our whole lives there just trying to pay for food and shelter - the environment needs to be switched around completely. Most people seem to think he was a low level employee that got pushed around by other employees and corporate. Comment section is full of people that didn't pause the video to read his "Death Note". The news station did a bad job reporting by just flashing it on screen for a second and calling it a "manifesto". Sort of obvious that there was nothing sympathetic about this guy if people are willing to read a little.

According to The Onion News not even hostages trapped in Walmart admit they shop at Walmart. Now imagine the shame of working at Walmart.............now imagine that being the last feeling you'll ever have. The media should leave the dead some dignity and pretend they were just taking a shortcut to get to the higher rent part of the mall.

@smittywerbenjagermanjenson1095
@@babyshaq6455 Nah like i had to research and just look at 3rd party sources to see is all. Yea it was just a few clicks away, but its a wonder why it wasnt shown on a broadcasted TV station and instead having to look at google images. Obviously if the image exists, why not use it. If you have to go off from the main source you're viewing to find a piece of information that is not present, it's research. So... why accuse of lying? 😆 Can't lie if you tell the truth.

Ooooops 1st Google image.....wow...so hard I'm totally spent". Seems like you want to see his picture and stare at it. Again you go back and look at any shooter. They all have one thing in common. People to stupid to realize it. Bullying. Bully’s should have stiff punishment and it starts in elementary school. You clowns better be nice to people. If you see someone being bullied stand up.
@JokerFace090
@JokerFace090 Год назад
No, most mass shooters are narcissists that believe they are being bullied. The actual link with most mass shooters is past instances of them committing domestic violence. In reality, they have off putting personalities and lack human empathy that makes it hard for them to understand other people. Usually there is serious trauma in very early childhood that causes the person to be fearful/suspicious of others & inhibits development of social skills. They are far more likely to be the bully than the victims of bullying. Bullying and harassment obviously is harmful to the victims of it, but not the root cause of mass homicide. This guy did not give anyone what they deserve. He killed innocent people, one of which was a 22 year old girl that had only worked there for 2 months. That is like cheering for a serial killer and blaming the cat he tortured as a child because it didn't purr enough for him.

The only weapon here was the shooters brain. Mental health is so important yet it’s never talked about. Religion is meant to bring you close to god but seems like he needed to find himself and not some magical person in the sky. As a child I used to talk just like that, “I’m sorry god I’m not like you, I’m sorry for this and that” and I hated myself. I was 8! A child and I grew up thinking this way until I said “enough!” And changed my beliefs. This man needed help, just like so many of us, he lost control of what was real and what wasn’t. He lost control of what he thought life should be and ended up hurting others.

Anyone know what “social deficits” he was referring to? I think he meant maybe he was over sheltered and didn’t really know how to socialize with other people and enjoy people. I remember a girl who was book smart but challenged socially because her parents only let her go to school and back home. She eventually had a nervous breakdown but she didn’t harm anyone. It is important to let your kids play baseball or some group activities they enjoy to develop social skills. Please look for signs of a person having a hard time. Get them to talk and offer help or encouragement. He seems like he snapped but needed counseling. He probably used to talk to his mom before she passed and now didn’t have anyone to talk to. That’s what I’m getting out of the letter. Condolences to the families and sending much prayer your way.

The guy had a no criminal record and a CLEAN background check. Virginia expanded their background checks just this past summer and instituted Red Flag laws. This was clearly a mental health issue and if it wasnt a gun this psycho most likely would of used some other method from arson to other weapons. If you want to talk about gun violence getting worse you should look at the places that have the most restrictions on guns like Chicago, NY and CA. Fun violence that happens in urban areas that already make it impossible to own firearms to defend yourself have the worst gun violence.
