@@CeRz Nah Sissel is great, but Karin is better imo. Much more emotion, more stability on the voice as well.

Yeah that might be true but I was more interested in Tommy's performance. Nothing tops those vocals especially from the last segment "is there no one in my life..." and forward, the ending note B flat is nothing even Körberg will top.@@Miaowize

This one performance sums up every complexity it conveys....Even down to the unexpected female lead stand in....Pure brilliance from beginning to end. That IS CHESS!! 4.2020.

Elaine Paige was the only diva for Chess. Karin, however did justice to Chess. She has an amazing voice.

you listened to this performance before where the lead female vocalis had to back out due to illness? What?

I’ve read elsewhere that she suffers from stage fright. Perhaps it overwhelmed her on this occasion.

If it was stage fright…it must have been excruciating. I’ve suffered from stage fright my whole life, performing professionally since I was around 8. I’m 31 now and still get it, to the point that my blood leaves my hands and I cramp up. But I would NEVER mess up a performance because of it. Any professional musician knows the show must go on and you are not the only person depending on yourself.
