ummm many players who're only playing for months can also do that,just saying it doesnt need so many years of playing chess to differentiate a master from a novice😅

I think he actual thought he had 5 seconds, cause he starting playing fast when he saw the clock at 50... and the way he apologized when Anna said "you're distracting" just shows he didn't mean it

@@modzi-modzi5991 I think it was on purpose, but I wouldn't call him a cheater for it haha I've distracted my friends during chess games it's part of the fun of playing over the board :)
You can tell even before the game starts that he knows what he's doing. The way he moves his pieces and doesn't even have to think about how to set-up the board showed that he wasn't a beginner.
@listey exactly, its just the way he picks up pieces and on top of that the fact that he kinda sets up the board like he has done it a million times, without thinking or paying that much attention to it
That only works if someone plays a lot of OTB games. You can get very good at chess by playing online only and be a complete novice at physically moving the pieces and handling the clock.
@@lad4830 no offence my dude but you are proby not 2,100 if you have never played on a physical board. There is only one rating system that matters and it is run by FIDE. Your lichess rating matters not a whit.
That reminds me of the first rule in poker. When you look at all the other players at your table and you see no idiot among them then you're the idiot.
I havent the slightest idea on how to play chess but i find myself always stumbling accross your videos and enjoy seeing your enthusiasm and how outgoing you are! And obviously easy on the eye!

The guy was like: I learned 2 months ago I learned 2 days ago I learned 2 hours ago I learned 2 minutes ago I'm learning now I will learn in two minutes
It was obvious he was good at the beginning, or even before the game started. You could by how he set up the pieces. He then played the first couple moves accurately and easily and stayed in book for many moves. Easily 2000+ by the time the game started!
He's good at chess but bad at lying. It was like: Anna: What do you do for a living? Fares: I am an electrician A: You're an electrician? F: I... No... I think... I'm a bartender
Not picking on Anna...every chess channel now has these videos. 1) Never underestimate someone during your first game with them, and 2) if anyone tells you they are new to chess, they are lying.

The experience you have to have to not take that rook, knowing you'll lose a tempo when the pawn Queens with check! That one extra tempo won him the game.

Anyway, if you want hundreds thousands of extra views, have one of those Angelina Jordan's new songs from her new EP old enough, playing in the background on one of your videos and maybe even give us your opinion of one of the songs and put that it's an Angelina Jordan reaction within the video, and literally hundreds of thousands of us fans will find it and jump on your channel. I know you're all about Chess and that's what I love watching about you and your mom because you both have some very creative and interesting chess games and it's always a joy to hear you talk about your thinking process. So yeah I've been here a while, but today was Angelina's first EP release and she's been a child prodigy from Norway which is how I found out about her watching some Magnus things and she popped up on the feed. So yeah another prodigy from Norway that you simply must check out. It may also be really fascinating to hear you discuss the parallels between her and Magnus and why you think that each of them rose to the top of their respective fields, and how there might be some connection with Scandinavia or maybe it's in the water LOL. Anyway I'd love to see what you think and maybe you can make a video about it that would be really fascinating and you'd get a ton of views and cross-pollinate audiences. LMK what you think, I'd be tickled to death if you actually looked into this idea!
I like Anna and all her videos. This guy is obviously an experienced player. I'm pretty good myself but have to admit if I were sitting where he was, I would have been distracted too!
I would say that what gives away the most that he is an expert is that he keeps himself so very focused on the game since the very beginning, even when Anna keeps asking him questions and talking over and over again.
Loved the part where she goes, I’m Anna by the way. Guys get so focused and filled with anxiety thinking about how to not act weird and just be cool around someone attractive but seem to forget basic social interactions. I’m guilty of this too.
In 6:56 the guy had a chance for a great queen sac If he moves his queen to a7 then black queen takes then white moves the E Pawn to e7 and gives a check with bishop Black would whether move his king to h8 so white will make a queen there and white wins or black moves rock to f7 then white will make a queen and win after couple moves
Tbh I don't think he was trolling with the intent to troll... that implies it's joke. He simply used Anna's curiosity to his advantage. He kept a straight face the whole time, he knew what he was doing.
