Seriously people try to chart artists (as if it was even possible) but if there should be one that is unchartable because of his uniqueness that no one is really reaching ever, it is Chester. For me, he should be named everywhere where awards and honorable mentions are given, to this day and for all days ahead, because what he's done with his art is simply meaningful in such way that it's almost unbelievable even for the people he touched through all of this. Along with the rest of the band.. those men created pure magic.
Amen! You literally hit the nail right on the head. Chester was our modern day Beethoven. I honestly doubt (as sad as this is to say) there will ever be another singer in our lifetime that could come close to Chester. He was limitless and he was the measuring stick. Mike and Chester together was an absolute blessing. Mike gave Chester wonderful guidance in the studio and helped harness Chester's beautiful sound. 🙏
One day after his death I had a dream where I was the focus of Linkin Parks performance, I had eye contact with Chester. Like I was there. He played everything just for me like an entire days retinue. I woke up and realised it was a dream, I was duped and lied to. But by who???
Millions of albums sold. More millions who've seen him perform his music live. Even more millions who identify with his lyrics... and he felt alone in this world. #MentalHealthMatters
That is truly my favorite part, all the improvising, and that's what made them true artists. Not many bands still do this nowadays and the reason is lack of ability.
@@GabrielCroft Its not always about the ability, many artists now depend on tech, they have backing tracks, lights are synced and stuff, so you just can't put in improvisation now matter how much you want. There are ton of crazy talanted musicians right now, more then ever, its just they have less freedom in terms of creativity and live performances.
@@vvyshnevskyi Artists have a choice, it may be a tough one, but in the end it's their choice to give up that creative freedom. Signing with a label puts strings on those musicians. That's why LP broke off theirs. Look at Tom Macdonald. He's a beast and self made. He does everything out of his house and he has full say so.
ngl make a list of all the things that you feel you've accomplished. It can be as little as waking up in the morning to fitness progress to finding God. It doesn't really matter; I did this and I felt 1,00,000x better.
I've always been a diehard Linkin Park fan. I knew Chester could hit some long screams but godamn. I didn't know his range was that crazy. He was such an amazing vocalist.
I miss him every day… I grew up with Linkin Park; my introduction to them being Meteora. I would listen to the whole album on repeat through the CD player in my mom’s old Daewoo, held together by duct tape and the sheer hope it wouldn’t fall apart, whenever we went anywhere. They impacted me in such an indescribable way, and I’m eternally grateful. In some way, they practically helped raise me… Since childhood, I’d always dreamt of seeing them live, but we couldn’t ever afford it. Life always managed to get in the way, from financial troubles to general responsibilities. Tragically, he passed before I had my chance. I will, nonetheless, be forever grateful for what he and every other member of Linkin Park have done for me and, likely, many others. Thank you, Chester, we miss you dearly, and we pray that you rest in peace.
Damn, bro, that hits home hard. I totally understand where you're coming from, start to finish. I had very similar financial struggles and I felt I missed out on a lot as well, growing up, which motivated me to make sure I didn't in the future. Because of that, I was able to see them (LP) ONCE in 2007. It took my entire paycheck and I had just gotten fired. 😂 So I just said, "I'm just going to enjoy this! [Check]" And flew to their concert with two tickets. Not very responsible, but one of the best memories to look back on. Trust me, they'll be more wonderful memories ahead that you'll experience and be grateful for. I promise. God bless, my friend. 🙏
I only found out about Linkin Park recently because I wasn't even born when they started, or when they became mainstream, but I love them so much. Chester is absolutely incredible, and the rest goes for the band too. Rest In Peace Chester.
Chester is truly one of the best vocalists ever and each member of the band just has that special "IT" factor. I'm so glad you finally got to hear them. Try "Reanimation" it will blow your mind. 🙏
It's not so much about the length of the scream as it is about the levels he's hitting vocally during it. This performance was the highest he's ever gotten during a set.
@@apachewraithMetal is all scream, with very little melody. Chester had all bases covered, he could do almost anything, while metal heads are mostly one dimensional.
Still can't believe he's gone, you left your mark on all of us Chester, we'll never forget. Thank you for helping me through my constant battle against myself
I wish I could have seen them live, especially this era. They seem to have really applied the metal of that Era to their shows and give a sicker performance than their album recordings.
How the hell did he think of the idea of combining a 80’s Hairspray style rock vocal with a modern mid-000’s nu-metal/punk style is beyond me! That “Oh yeah” he throws in with 2 different styles to make it his own is just talent!
😂🤣 Well put. Chester was in a league of his own. I got Axel Rose vibes when he hit that "Oh yeaaaaah" thanks to Brad nearly forcing him to do it by amping up his guitar more and more. This performance put him at legend status in my opinion.
I get goosebumps just sitting here on my couch hearing LP absolutely crushing it, performing my favourite of their tracks, but being there in the crowd must have been mind blowing. Such an incredible voice and such a fantastic band.
It's almost shocking how he had that sound in his pocket all that time and could have made songs with it if he wanted to. Just so much talent he literally "couldn't" even use it all lol.
I was about 5 when I first heard linkin park, I was at my grandfather's house and my uncle was listening to numb early in the morning this was 2005. I miss my grandfather and the vibes of those times, I was stupid kiddo, my grandpa was alive and my uncle was a teenager, we would play wrestling, I'd watch my uncle playing cs1.6 and hear my grandpa talking even tho couldn't understand adult language, I felt amazing.... and didn't know.
To me it’s crazy to look back at old LP videos and see the massive crowds at these stadiums they’re playing in front of and then remember back when I saw them for the first time playing for a couple hundred people in the parking lot of the Westminster Mall. One of the best shows that I ever saw. What an awesome band, hope LP succeeds with the female singer.
I totally loved Linkin Park with Chester Bennington. He had one of a kind voice that could never be replaced. The new singer doesn't compare at all. I will only listen to songs with Chester. He appreciated his fans. I will always miss him. Such a sad death
You can do anything you want in life! Remember the grind of getting your name out there isn't easy, but don't let that affect your drive. I hope I hear you on the radio one day. 🙏
Amen! I was so grateful Hybrid Theory came out during those confusing early teen years when I was 13. They helped make sense of all the madness going into adulthood. Still my favorite ❤
The best part about this legend's voice is that it doesn't changes into a thin voice even if it goes higher 🙏 The beauty of the voice is still there 👍💞 Love you my legend 💞😭
Chester na zawsze pozostanie w pamięci i moim sercu. Linki Park to był mój pierwszy zespół muzyczny który słuchałam od szkoły gimnazjum miałam wtedy 13 lat ma teraz mam 33. Pozdrawiam serdecznie wszystkich Magda
