I just bought an old Chevrolet Avalanche 2004. And I have a lot to do! Good luck with everything! Greetings from Russia!

Please don’t advise people to do this. It will only come back worse.

how long does it last when you spray with the heat gun

A couple weeks then it looks worse after thats why noone shows what it looks like after because it looks worse than it being faded

This doesn't bring any polymers back to the surface... you're melting the faded layer into a non UV protected layer which will fade worse than it was previously

this! tried the heat gun method on one panel and it looked awesome, but i was still skeptical so decided not to do the other two or sail panels/side storage covers. couple years later that one panel looks worse than before. perhaps meguires or penetrol will last longer with no negative effects.

The absolute WORST thing that you can do to plastic! Destroys it on a molecular level. It will look like shit the next time it fades.

wolfsmane my car looks worst now.. I think I’ll sand it and paint all the car
@wolfsmane
@wolfsmane 5 лет назад
@@mahersg8117 Hopefully that will work if you heated the plastic. It is my understanding that once you heat the plastic like that, it will always look bad. paint, dyes, etc., supposedly won't stick to it very well after the heat treatment.
