Your camera wouldnt focus because the lens dirty. You just need to clean it... But not with your finger! Lol. Although, we didnt really need it to be focused because you did such a good job showing us every little step... A bit of rambling here and there. Im seriously not one to talk though... But overall, it was extremely helpful and informative. I have been scouring the internet for info on this since its a but intimidating... And I've replaced a few stereos but never one with this many wires and shit. So its 4 years later and your video is still helping people. 😊
Some models still have the lighter, but you're correct in that most refer to them as power/accessory outlets. I actually bought a converter that wires in with 2 usbs instead.
I had to do this same thing same products shaved back a little bit of pink coating linked the blue and white wire from my kenwood and everything worked thanks for the video I spent few hours trying to figure out what I did wrong everything was hooked up correctly and there was no sound I'd like to use my steering wheel controls couldn't figure out why they wouldn't work but I'll figure it out later thanks again!
Not sure if u still have the hhr, or the issue. On my hhr (08 ss) the scosche kit from Walmart done even connect to the right wires for the steering controls to work. I had to buy a second adapter just for steering controls to get it to work.
So I connected all the wire together and I also got a antena adapter but their no power going to the stero and I just got it new any ideas on why it wouldn't turn on??
I connected the wiring kit to my stereo. The only issue I had was the pink wire. Does your new radio power on at all? If it doesn't power on take the yellow and red wire put them together. Put them on the positive post of your battery and then put the black wire on the negative make sure no other wires are touching. If your new radio does not power on then your issue lies with your radio if does then it has to be a wiring issue with the wire up.
