I’ve had the ZZ502 in my 70 Chevelle for several years now and I’ve never had an issue. Runs strong & reliable Currently having carburetor issues. Thinking about fuel injection.

I have one in a 67 Camaro, with a best 1/8 mile time of 6.48 @104 mph. Has 100 + passes and running strong.

@@FS-ec4jf Yes I installed a complete engine, all I did was change oil pan and put roller rockers on it.

If you are worried about fuel economy you should be looking at the commercial line of their engines. This thing is designed more for sport touring applications in large bodied cars.

With EFI and an overdrive transmission you can expect 20 MPG on the highway

There are electronic carbs that can do the same as a fuel injection but won’t be worth it unless your intake manifold is adjusted to accept an EFI system

I bought the 461hp 502. Big mistake. I strongly discourage anyone to buy these. Mine only lasted 120 miles and a connecting rod cap fell off. Many nuts and bolts were only finger tight. Motor locked up. Was told it was covered under warranty but unknown when I would ever get another one. Tore mine down and found all the bolts under Timing cover coming out or finger tight. Very expensive to get it fixed right.
