Two minutes in and I am already so grateful I came across your video. I was hesitating trying to remove this entire dashboard to get to the back of the radio. You just showed me how easy it is. Thank you and yes I am subscribing.
Where can I order the front panels? Please need help to fine one. Your truck is just like mines I just need to replace the front panels like the one you removed first
I bought an 07 gmc sierra w/t The radio looks the same as this one and it's locked. Previous owner said the battery died and after the replaced it it was locked. He said I'd have to go to the dealer to unlock it. Is that worth doing? Better off just putting in an after market one?
Is there any issue with the BCM when you pull the stereo on a car equipped with factory anti-theft? Would it matter if you're putting in a new modern stereo or just swapping out the old broken one with a newer one from a newer jumked pickup? Thanks for any light you can shine on this because I'm wondering if the BCM will need to be reflashed.
Have a question my display is starting to go on my 2013 chevy silverado, i would like to replace the radio and add the blue tooth as well. Do you have any suggestion
I have the three same year truck and my display is going too. I don’t use cds much anymore so I just bought a Pioneer Apple Play full touch screen receiver. Has Bluetooth. It’s like the ones that come in the new cars these days
Thanks, I want to changing the stereo of a silverado but I don't know what brand or model of stereo is compatible in size and conectors. can you help me with any information to chooising the correct stereo? please
So what did you find out was the problem? Was it the stereo or the speakers? Im having the same issue and replaced the drivers side speaker to see if it was the speaker and nothin. Do i need to change all the speakers before the problem will be fixed?
My 2008 Silverado did the same thing. Problem was the speakers. Got moisture in the door panel somehow and fried the speakers (found out it's a common issue with Chevy). I ended up getting new speakers and put them in and they work. But I ended up buying Boom Mat baffles to install to keep the moisture out so the problem wont happen again.
@@johnmacgugan I changed out all the speakers and they all work now but my drivers side front. Need to do some trouble shooting on that one still but I do have music now!
I just took my speakers out and replaced them because i know they are often an issue, but I have no sound still. Just my door speakers don’t work, pillars still sound good.
@@ethanchadwick6729 Did this fix your door speakers.. I have pillar speakers only..new UNLOCKED radio same result as original unit. No console except fold down center compartment.
I just want a new stereo that is Bluetooth because the country music on the radio stations suck. It’s fake country, I want to listen to real country so I have to use my phone just to be able to listen to Hank
