Hey great video, Just a heads up, I only had to remove 5 screws and removed plastic/mesh static shield. I left the circuit board in place and was able to re-solder the 4 pins. Works great! Thanks!!
There should be a disclaimer. If you do not have an 1/8" socket or driver , this repair is not happening. And you aren't going to the hardware store to find that socket. The closest you will get in any of those types of places is 5/32 which doesn't cut it. So be forewarned that this requires a tool that most people do not own. I wasted my time to get to that point so you don't have to.
Any chance you remember where all those small buttons go on the inside? The ones you said “oh crap, I hope you remember where those go?”...I didn’t get a chance to see where they went before it fell apart....
116falconer right ... but im talking about the the little tiny bolts before you get to the mother board .... your buddy was using a blue tool to put those tiny bolts..... what size did you use to remove those????
