Welcome Back! I had an electrical problem with my 1984 Chevy K30 truck. I was at the store and when I went to leave, the truck wouldn't start. Days leading up to that, I felt like the ignition switch was going out. I got the truck started and brought it home. In this video, I'll show you how to remove the steering column from the truck. While I have the steering column out, I will of course replace the faulty ignition switch, but I also replace the dimmer switch as well as the wiper switch. If your vehicle is equipped with cruise control, you could also replace that switch at this time. Although I did not do it in this video, now is also a good time to replace the reverse/backup lights switch at the base of the steering column. Thank you for watching!
