I would not use a metal chisel or a metal razor blade. They make plastic razor blades that are far less likely to harm the paint. I suggest looking into those.

I really like the Bolt EV , I'm finding used ones from 2017 for like 13k around me.

True, though keep an eye out for high mileage. When I was researching used EVs I also found lots of Bolts out there for good prices but almost all of them had very high miles (or at least more miles than I was willing to live with, such as 75,000 and up). I ended up with a 2016 Kia Soul EV+ with only about 17,000 miles on it: Less than 5000 miles per year! Have a good one. [p.s. One big advantage of a Bolt EV is that they are sold in all 50 states so servicing is much easier to find than other EVs like my Soul that were only sold in a handful of states]

Thank you. If I get a 23 Bolt those bowties and model badging are all coming off. BTW a microfiber towel (cheap in quantity from walmart) would help buff that adhesive residue off quickly.

What about the rest of the car's badges? wheels, front, steering wheel.. FYI if you don't have a heat gun. fishing line to cut the sticky foam. Then multiple applications goof off or wd-40 and a plastic scraper

I later blacked out the front side badges & the front grill w/ the badge as seen in the "not washed in a year video". I don't care about any of the others.

Putting in a led strip when opening up the hatch and trying to remove the plastic to feed the wire I tried running a wire but there is insulation.

I did that when I had the FIAT 500e. It worked great there. Any hatchback to generic SUV could benefit from this as well.

How do you remove the front badge?

I found it was best to remove the whole upper grill (which holds the front badge) & paint it all flat black, then reinstall it. At the same time, I did the same thing with the two front side badges that say Bolt EV. It really cleans it up & yet retains the OEM badging. No "holes" to fill or any other custom replacement work needed.

One other advantage to removing the badges is, sad, to prevent EV haters from intentionally damaging your vehicle. If there's no badge that says "EV" on it maybe they will just think that it's a generic hatchback and leave it alone. One of the things I like about my Kia Soul EV is the fact that it looks exactly like a gas Soul except for a tiny badge that says "Eco Electric" on the back. So far no one has keyed my car or anything like that. Sad that we even have to worry about that kind of stuff, but there it is.

Yet another reason. It blows my mind that several million people in the U.S. actually voted for Trump & believe every lie he tells. The same kind of people that would key a random car or storm the capitol. There are a lot of very sick people in this country.

@@DuncanCunningham Teslas get harassed all the time. It's a shame people are so immature. I was considering a BMW i3 at one time, but that's an EV that SCREAMS "EV!" in its looks.

Thank you brother. Inwas about to do this and was wondering if there where placement holes in the glass under the dadge. Yes dechrome it all. Im about to do that also. And lower the shit out of it. Bc coilovers.

Right after the video I continued to paint the front grille panel w/ bowtie and the front side badges a nice flat black. You can see how it looks on various videos. As an alternate painting the rear bowtie flat black would have worked too. But, less time to remove them. Cheers.
