I appreciate the criticism, Im used to work on other style of videos and all the footage on this one was alot so i had to cut it short and get to the point. but thanks, ill keep in mind for next time. But yea we got rid of the car shortly after the fix. it should of been a recall, its very common failure.

We replaced the whole transmission because the wave plate had broken inside. then had to replace the solenoids multiple times until everything was working correctly then got rid of it. It was a nightmare.

Acquired 145k, now 148k, 2015 Cruze, I'm sure driven without maintenance.

wave plate its a plate inside the transmission, So we had to open up the transmission and replace it.

@@jjgonzales8888 sry man this isnt my main profession, i am a diy for the exact reason that shops will charge you alot of money. Specially with transmission work, not my strongest skills.

Well to my knowledge, This is fairly common and had no recall. The waveplate inside breaks and you would have to replace it or new trans. Theres some procedures on how to properly check or top the transmission fluid online i recommend joining forums or chevy cruze owner FB groups theres alot of helpfull people there. we had this car for a short period of time.

We just bought a used transmission from the junkyard. but i think they sell The rebuild kit online.

Not sure exactly man, Could be solenoids or module or something else. I dont really like working on these cars.

@@1111comment I am not sure on this one. he had it out so that’s why I commented. I rebuilt my GM 4t65e in my garage by lowering down the cradle, and removing the innards thru the driver side wheel well. this is certainly a different beast with probably less workable space.

It wouldnt move after like 5 minutes of turning it on.

@@BJCRfilms mine does some super weird shit. At first I thought it was the turbo lag then the turbo was replace still does the same weird shit. Gets worse when the car gets hot or if the air or the heats on. It does like a noise dive while accelerating complete loss of power.

@@mattsadach5208 damn yea i hear alot of cruze owners have problems with coolant issues and then Theres this transmission problems. Overal headache.

@@BJCRfilms the problem is crankcase pressure due to bad pcv venting and turbo stuffing air into an already max out engine at 136 hp🤣 there are after market fixes for these issue. Cooling is ok never had an over heating problem or the infamous coolant smell inside the cab. But I've literally replace everything on this car once and it's only got 114,000 miles 2014 rs poo emoji is what I call it I actually called gm corporate when I first got the car that's a hell of a story for another time. If anyone interested its actually a fiat engine if anyone is interested and the chassis is a Cadillac ats fyi. I've come to realize rs stands for REAL SHITTY 🤣 there isn't anything rally or sport about this package.
