i have never been muddin in my life. in case i end up stuck on accident, or to help someone else, i do have a kinetic rope, shackles, 60' of recovery straps, and receiver hitched for the other vehicle. the lack of preparedness floors me.

because it's a lot more fun when I was a kid my stepdad had a old Ford 2 wheel drive used to take us mudding in but we called it piging but then when he got his four-wheel drive jeep it wasn't near as fun anymore it was almost boring sometimes
You can use a chain to pull someone out, but don't yank on it. The amount of force on the chain is less when pulled with a constant force, meaning it's less likely to break. When you yank on it, it does add more force to pull them out of the mudhole, but it also is more likely to damage your truck, and exceed the chains ability to hold itself together. When the energy exceeds the maximum amount of energy the chain can hold, then you'll have a chain go through your back glass.
And when you pull someone out you don't want to snag the whole time but you would give it a little gas and let the grip of the tire bite to try and pull out the truck and then you would snag once or twice
Had one break on my about a month ago and had my head out the window watching what the guy pulling me out was doing. The chain flew beside the truck and probably would have done some pretty respectable damage had I not pulled my head in
I love mudding but next time yall get stuck dont out the women i. The back of yall trucks while yanking the chain like that i aint tryna tell y'all what to do but if that chain or something broke it would of had alof of tension on it and could of smacked and busted one them really hard in the head. Im getting a 02 chevy 1500 extended cab with 6in suspension lift. Ima take it off roading soon and dig some ruts and I'm definitely taking my girl with me !! I need a area like yalls to play in but not abuse my truck also thinking of getting a snorkel installed for when im in some deep water
