If you do mess up that manifold gasket it is available as a spare part, and Goldwagen in South Africa carries a lot of GM parts now as well, not only parts for VW and Audi.
Daewoo engineers saying they did not expect it to last long enough to replace plugs. That plug boot is good to keep old ones, and cut the wire off, to use to grip other plugs to get them out, if you do not have Gary's trademarked pipe piece. If you do plug wires on something with 14mm plugs keep that old one as well, for the smaller diameter plugs.
Are you serious about the Daewoo engineers? What is the service interval on the spark plugs? Is there a set interval for how often to change the ignition cables?
@@SebastianFerenczy No set interval for ignition cables, though a good idea to change them with cambelt as they do degrade with time. Scan tool and seeing misfire count will give a good indication of cable degradation, though you also can simply go look in a dark area at night and see the discharge around the cables, though if they have been marinading in oil best to change them.
@@SebastianFerenczy Generally you change plugs with each service, every 15000km, though you can double it with little issue with modern engines that do not burn oil much. Remember there are engines where you first change plugs at 100 000km, and some even at 160 000km. Those you find the plugs often have welded themselves to the head, and break removing them, so much so that you get thread repair kits specific to that particular engine, and broken plug extractor kits designed for them, like the Ford Triton engine.

Good day Gary! Thanks for the great video's, having some problems with my own Spark. Do you have any ideas on getting the intake manifold off when one of the top bolts is spinning in place? Add: the metal pipe also has a hard time going in or out, any tips?
@@ДимитърИванов-л7г Yes you replace it with the fuel filter and sender, though you can find just the screen as a part at times, just the labour to remove the pump is enough that a whole new one makes sense, as it is not too expensive as aftermarket. I saw the genuine OEM part and the aftermarket were made by the same factory, from the marks in the mould being the same, just the OEM badge insert was removed for the aftermarket one.
