I tried to explain in the video. There is no way to show it. It is a blind change out. You remove the 1 bolt. Rotate the cover off the hold down flange. Then, pull it away from the transmission. There is an o-ring that helps keep it in place. Once the cap is removed, you can pull the filter out. To install do the reverse.
No, Bill is upset we are taking a loss on the Commander. This project is gonna get sold asap for very little profit. He doesn't want to take the chance we lose again. It has something going on with the transmission. He doesn't want to spend the money to go through the possible issues. This is the drawback of having a partner on cars. Shortly after these 2 cars are gone, we are going to start on the 1970 F250.
This depends on your automotive skill level. I would consider this job pretty simple but you may not. It took me under an hour and I've never done it on this car before.
Thank you! Have been trying to find where the round filter goes for like an hour now. Other videos do not show it that I have seen. I go the 10mm bolt out for the filter but having a hell of a time still trying to get it out. After researching some more it seems the Nissan Versa has the same filter cover. I had noticed that too when i was researching the video. Other people called the strainer the filter and didn't show the filter. Glad the video helped. I hope changing the fluid solves your issues.
