Literally JUST finished making these and I HIGHLY recommend you guys trying this recipe out. It's so simple, easy to follow, and you more than likely already have these ingredients sitting in your kitchen. They are soft, chewy, fluffy disks of heaven. I'm going to be making them more often! My husband and I had to fight over who gets to have the last one (I Won lol) p.s. I didnt put any toppings or anything, I just cooked it plain and its turned out scrumptious!

so i went into the description box for measurements and i saw grams and thought that this recipe was only in grams. so i went for like 20 minutes trying to find a converter website (that wasn't confusing) for grams to cups. then i scroll down and see "Vanilla Cookies in Cups"...... i am ashamed of myself. Nonetheless the cookies are really good! i applaud you. may or may have not have made 40 of these in less than 24 hours xD

Hi I made these for my family yesterday!!!! They were delicious and tasted just as great the next day!! I did have to bake a little longer though 14 minutes but the end result was exactly like yours!! I'm going to make another batch today but add half a cup more of flour to the mix just because I want to see if I can get more great cookies with less butter in each lol!!! Going to compare each batch!!! This recipe made it into my recipe box!!! Lol!!! UPDATE: Don’t try to add an extra half cup of flour to recipe. Dough will be crumbly and cookies will stay like a ball when cooked lol!! Keep it the way the recipe is written lol!!! Do delicious!!
For anyone curious or calorie counting they are around 110 calories per cookie if you make 16 😊 Edit: They are also DELICIOUS. A must if you like chewy cookie 😋
@@nayelimir You would find out the calories from each ingredient by checking the nutrition facts label. She used 2 eggs-- about 160 calories, 1 cup or so of flour--500 calories, 100 g of sugar--350 calories. Those are what have calories mainly from all of the ingredients. This equals 1010 calories total, so 2 giant cookies would be 505 calories each (1010/2); 4 large cookies would be 252 calories each (1010/4) ; 8 small cookies would be 126 calories each (1010/8). Edit: I forgot to include butter, but it would be the same steps.

I absolutely adore this recipe and I've been making it for a long time, it always wows people. A tip that I stumbled on by accident: if you want to make lots of mini cookies with this recipe, bake for 5 minutes, take them out for 5 minutes to slightly cool, then bake for another 5 minutes, and it keeps the same consistency :3

I'm a terrible baker and I messed up on a few parts but this recipe still turned out great! I made a marshmallow frosting to go on the top and my mom even asked me to make them for her birthday! Thank you!!
Everything Emma makes is amazing. The dough came out really soft so I left the bowl of dough in the fridge to chill. Once the dough firmed up, I used a Tbsp to scoop out balls of dough onto cookie sheet, then put the sheet back in the fridge to chill a bit more. They came out perfect. So delicious and chewy. I was able to make about 16. Thanks for fixing my cookie cravings, Emma!

Best sugar cookies ever the ONLY recipe your ever need for chewy sugar cookies !! In my opinion Here are some of my variations keep all other ingredients the exact same but add For one batch : add lemon zest Another batch: almond extract keep the vanilla Another batch: add white chocolate chips Another batch : coconut flavor keep vanilla extract as well and some semi sweet or dark chocolate chips Another batch almond extract with orange zest I had to make half the batch this time the first batch I ate them all with a tall glass of milk binge watching Netflix watching Hawaii Five O! They are just that good and listen to Emma bake only 10 mins and let them cool completely before eating , they finish setting up while they are cooling/cooled. Thank you for sharing your recipes, Emma!! I pray for and thank God everyday for Emma I actually use to feel like I couldn’t make cookies from scratch every recipe was a dude until I found Emma’s channel. Now I can pass this on to my future children and I’ll be the best mom who can cook and bake, bake Even the more with Emma’s recipes.
Just got done making these and they turned out so good, the first batch I made burned on the bottoms but I think my oven runs a little hot, so I made a second batch at about 335°F for the same amount of time and they come out absolutely flawless! This is the PERFECT sugar cookie recipe! 🥰 Thanks Emma! Love all your recipes 💕
Mine came out amazing I can’t stop using this recipe, I substituted the butter with salted butter instead of using salt and it gives the perfect balance 😁
I made these, and I just realized I didn’t use salt, but they tasted AMAZING! They’re quick, easy, and so delicious! They tasted better than long recipes I have made before. I’m sticking with this one for sure. I used 1/2 cup of butter to be exact (4 ounces/113.4 grams), and I baked them exactly for 10 minutes also!

I made these for the first time today, and they did not last long in my house. These are so good! (I didn't add as much salt, just used salted butter and that's it.)
I just made these cookies based on your recipe here. The first pan of cookies came out perfectly. The second pan which I kept chilled before cooking, were not done in the center after 10 minutes. Next time i will have to leave the ones in the chilled pan a little longer. They tasted great though.

I’ve been using this recipe for years cuz it’s bomb af! My favorite thing to do is to put mini M&Ms in the cookies and it tastes like heaven. Another thing I did yesterday was roll the cookies in cinnamon sugar to make snickerdoodles. Also, you don’t have to bake all of them at once. I put the rest of the frozen cookie balls in a freezer bag and they still bake up pretty nicely. Highly recommend!

So like, I tried this recipe like 3 years ago and I keeped adding too much flour that was a accident, but when I first made it, I was kinda puffy but it was still delicious, and now, in 2023, I made it and the dough turned out like urs, and I'm waiting for it to chill now
Literally perfect!! Followed the cup recipe exactly! Started with cold butter and microwaved on defrost for 5 mins then followed recipe. I subbed 1 tbs of white sugar for brown and chewy on 100k!!
