These easy sugar cookies don’t need to be chilled and stay wonderfully soft and chewy for day! It’s my best sugar cookie recipe! Recipe: www.lifeloveandsugar.com/best...

THE BEST! I just made these for my family and they ABSOLUTELY LOVED THEM ❤ my father told me he has never tried a cookie this good in his entire 78 years. Im so proud, Thank you! They are so delicious you cannot stop eating them, they are THAT GOOOOOOUUUUDDD 😋
Made these tonight. Excellent recipe. Followed it exactly and they turned out perfect. They're soft and chewy, but not cakey. These are my new go to cookies.
This recipe is the best! I made them today and they really are so soft and chewy! I’ve tried other recipes but this is my favorite I’ll definitely be making again in the future, thank you!❤️
Worked wonderfully. I'm an amature baker and have made these twice and they both came out perfect. I like to sprinkle sugar on top so they have some more texture and get that cracked look as the cookie expands.
This is one of the best sugar cookie recipes I have every tried! A little crispy edge with a super chewy middle. Just perfect. Definitely will be adding this one to my permanent recipe book! Also, I added 1 tsp of almond extract and it tasted amazing!
These are the best dang sugar cookies ever! They came out perfectly! I made a stiff buttercream to frost them and added sprinkles and they're just like the store bought ones I love! Of course on their own they are amazing!
I was looking for a good sugar cookie recipe and came across yours. It looked easy enough and looked good! I just baked them and wow! Terrific recipe! It's a keeper!
I just made these cookies, followed the recipe exactly except I had to cook them a little longer than the recipe said (few minutes over) because they did not spread. They ended up as little balls like other commenters were saying, but they still tasted fine.
I literally had a taste for a sugar cookie and didn't know how to make one. Rsn across this video.....Saw she used a mixer I didn't have one so I had to do some heavy duty hand mixing of the butter and sugars......mixed it with the dry ingredients and these came out great. I will say watch your oven temp. Total baking time 9 minutes. Let it cool, tasted it and it was really good. I may have added a 1/2 teaspoon too much of vanilla but other than that I am proud of how they came out 👏
I made these tonight and my family loves them. I rolled them in sprinkles instead of sugar. My new favorite recipe and these are tender! Thanks a bunch!
These cookies are AMAZING. After trying so much chewy sugar cookie recipes..I came across this one, and decided to give it a try. Although I did change a few things, these turned out the best from all of the other ones I tried. They turned out extremely chewy and soft, and did not fluff up like the other ones. If you want to know what I changed up, let me know!
Could you please tell me roughly how many cookies total you can make from you modified recipe? And if you don't own those fancy KitchenAid mixers, could you mix it by hand instead? Thanks!
Wow I just made them and they are AMAZING 🤩 I also mad a cinnamon+white sugar + nutmeg mixture and they are amazing as well 😊😊😊😊 thank you for the recipe. When I make them again I’m going to dip half into Carmel
Just got my kitchenaid mixer as a housewarming gift and sugar cookies are my first project!!! Update: These were delicious just like when I was a kid . I didn’t have parchment paper so I lightly dusted my cookie sheet with flour.
I made these today using your recipe. I dont know what happened but my dough was wet. I had to add more flour but it still didnt really get to the way yours looked like and I didn't want to add too much flour. Maybe it was since I don't have a kitchen aid or hand mixer. I made sure to follow the recipe exactly the way you wrote it. I would still make these again either way. They're so soft and chewy. It was almost like I did a cake mix cookie since they fluffed up and didn't go down like you said they would
its surely not the lack of a mixer, i did this all by hand and it turned out fine- i suppose you may have not mixed the egg throughly enough before moving it over? either way, im glad to hear they turned out completely fine!
same! I was like??? why is my dough wet? :( i also just added white chocolate chips (superior) and I just have to put it in the oven. I’ll see how it goes.
This happened to me so many times I found out that my softened butter was too soft. I let my butter sit out for too long and it was very soft to the touch and almost melted, they made my dough really runny! I hope this helps!
I’ve never made sugar cookies with brown sugar, ever. And man…I’ve been doing it wrong. I’ve tried many different recipes and I’ve finally found the PERFECT one. These are the BEST sugar cookies I’ve ever had!
Hey if you're looking to see if these are actually good, I made these! If you make sure that you follow the grams in the recipe, and are super careful not to overmix, then they are perfectttt! Bake for about 7-10 mins If you freeze them and bake them, bake for for 9-11 mins (350 degrees)
I've made this recipe and followed your steps.....Oh yummy, yummy cookies Lindsay. This recipe is a keeper. Thank you for sharing this wonderful soft, chewy and delious sugar cookie . 🤗🤗🤗
I made these cookies, and it was quite delicious. The only thing was is that it didn’t flatten out. Overall, it was a good cookie. Thank you so much ❤️❤️
I tried another recipe the other night and I got hockey pucks. I gave your recipe a shot and did something that is not supposed to done while baking, I don't have butter so I used margarine. The cookies came out great but didn't flatten like a sugar cookie but were nice and plump and tasted great. All I wanted were cookies and I got great cookies. Love your recipe and will be using it from now on, Hell I may stop buying cake mix and just make these.
I think I found my favourite cookie!! :) Thank you for sharing! Made this a few days ago and followed your recipe exactly. Everything worked out so well, and they are super yummy. (To anyone making this, make sure your butter is room temperature as recipe states - its easy to overlook this. The form of your butter should be "squishable" but it should not super warm that it becomes melted.)
I was bored at 3:30 am so I went to the kitchen me and my little sister and we made them while everyone was asleep lmao. Omfg they were so good and chewy!!! I made sure to follow the video and the recipe on your site, and btw your giving me Miss Honey vibes from Matilda
hey ! i have just put them in the oven. but when i was making my cookies i have noticed how dry it got and how crumbly it was. it may just be my mixer though because my mixer is very fast. so i may have over mixed it even though i only mixed it for not long. i also didn’t have enough butter so it may be why. it tastes good tho but it does not looks like the picture. i will probably try this again and hopefully it will work :) not trying to hate just wanted to do a lil review i guess ! 😊
I kinda Eye balled the recipe and they came out perfect!! The link didn’t rlly work for me 😢 But it still came out so good Thx For the recipe though!! 💞🌷
Some people are being needlessly rude/cruel here. Personally, I always like to read a recipe multiple times and have the measurements already written out for me. Having a how-to video available is just an added bonus to see the process/results, so I don’t see the omission of the measurements as a big deal. I certainly don’t want to watch a baking video and have to write down ingredients/measurements - I would find it more odd if there wasn’t a link to the recipe with all the steps written down. Anyway, I just made these cookies for my nephew and they are a major hit! The only thing I found was that I had to leave them in my oven for 12 minutes in order for them to bake perfectly. Thank you so much for the recipe!
Hi, so I really liked your recipe. I do have a couple of questions I hope you don't mind. I actually followed someone elses recipe yesterday and her looked nice and flat and chewy. I followed her recipe and it definitely didn't turn out like that. They turned out still round and no taste. It was very disappointing. Anyways, I found yours today and yours looks really good too. Is there a substitute for the second half a stick of butter besides shortening? I only want to use 1 stick. You used the whole egg while the other recipe called only for 2 egg yolks cause it would be more chewy. I'm not putting down your recipe at all so please don't think that. I just want it to be flat likes and chewy. Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank you♥
It came out fine and I used 2 sticks of butter only and 1 whole egg. The 1 egg is like a substitute for the 2 egg yolks and they were literally the best sugar cookies EVER.And also if you only do the yolks of the egg then the cookie will be too flat because this recipe includes no chilling
@@spiral5650 actually, another commenter mentioned the same thing about the cookies needing a little more time to bake. Plus, keep in mind that everyone's oven is different.
Girl I feel the exact same way, I almost dislike this video I was so mad . But somebody added the exact measurements in the comments so props to that person.
Either added too much flour or over mixed once you added the flour in. After you add the flour, gently mix until just combined. If you’re using a stand mixer, mix on low until almost combined then take the bowl and hand mix with a spatula until there’s no more flour clumps. If you over mix the ingredients with the flour, the gluten will begin to develop and give you cookies that are ball-shaped, crumbly, and almost bread-like in texture rather than the soft chewy cookies you want.
@@tanishkakumar2207 salted butter is fine, just leave out the additional salt. And I wouldn't suggest adding more sugar - it adds moisture to the cookie dough and they will spread more.
I hope to make these eventually. My school is pretty well off for lunch and we have a bunch of things. Sugar cookies is now my favorite thing beside only chocolate chip because they’re so good and easy to break apart. I do like my chocolate chip a little harder to dip in milk lol.
I’m not sure why everyone keeps complaining about not finding the measurements? I was able to find everything very easily. People truly want everything fed to them right away.... do some research and have some patience 🤦♂️
"People truly want everything fed to them right away" I mean... it's a recipe lol When people search up recipes on youtube, they expect to be given the information they need in the video. Otherwise, it's not a very helpful video.
I took the time to follow this recipe and was totally disappointed. Step by step I measured the ingredients and followed the instructions. Cookies didn't even flatten out in the end of the baking period. Waist of time and especially money.
I'm sorry to hear you had trouble. I've made these cookies so many times that I have FULL confidence that they turn out perfectly (as seen in the video) when done correctly. If they didn't spread, it's likely that the flour was over measured. Measuring by weight is always most accurate, but if using cups, I'd suggest stirring up your flour and then spooning it into the cup before leveling it off.
Glad I wasn't the only one who didn't get the best result. I'm going to try decreasing the flour a little and try again. Did y'all use a stand or hand mixer?
